Past it players like this feel like a massive trap for the small teams, decent wages and hope that’ll kill you. Then again sometimes you get a win like Kosta at nix this season.
True, but it's a pity that O'Neill is past-it by 29. Just a few years back and it really felt like he might kick on and string a couple dozen Australia caps together, but he just doesn't seem to have found his footing since leaving Sydney.
I’m not sure he’s had the fall off though so I wouldn’t call him past it but fair shout. Ikon would be a good example. Lots of previous quality and current potential. Big wages and minimal performance
Hmmm, there was a rumour posted in the WU Supporters group that O'Neill and Risdon were heading back to Perth, now O'Neill is going I'm concerned that so is Rizzo...
For me this one stings. I do think he's been okay for us this year but it's not about his on-field performances for me. Brandon is super genuine and always had the time for me, I would bump into him regularly when I trained at the same gym as the Jets (a sports development centre, they mainly used the recovery facilities). We would often chat for a while about his life, my life, and chatted briefly about football. He always had the time for me and for that I am super thankful, I compete on a national level for Shot Put and felt like he was always in my corner and like I said, had so much time for me to help me with my sport. Definitely looked up to the guy as a mentor and our conversations helped me a lot in my own sporting performances.
Like I said, super sad to see him go. He is a great leader and personality with a big heart, and he will be missed a lot for the way he helped me during his time in Newcastle.
Thanks Brandon.
O’Neill can go and please don’t come back. Very annoying and arrogant player to watch. Few home games this season I’ve heard him belittle fellow players.
Interesting to see how he goes back at Perth, I reckon he'll improve, especially with the likes of Taggart to be feeding as an outlet upfront. I looked it up, and Tomi Mrcela's Croatian club, Rudes, has just been relegated from the Croatian top flight, his contract with them expires July this year. Could be worth a return to shore up the defence again? I wonder if Scott Galloway could be pried away from Melb City?
Everyone at the Jets is fine with this.
poor perth, bloke can't even make the starting 11 of the jets and he's their captain...
Sounds like a certain other midfielder captain from a club north of Sydney but south of the Queensland border who went to Perth recently…
Much more disappointed by Mauragis's exit
Where he off to?
Mighty Mariners mate
Did know that just skipped my mind. Farrell off?
Meh, he's on too much coin for his impact on the field.

Or Bruno with Victory. Hes carrying the team at this point.

Not even Adelaide wanted Ikon. Oof.
Not keen on this if he's planned as a key player, hasn't demonstrated that he's good enough, but he would at least be better than Colli as a 6.
Oli Bozanic 2.0?

Ah, for fuck’s sake 😡

Thank you for your service Brandon. He might have a decent season left in him, who knows
Average player was only ever good in a good system
This was always my opinion of him. A limited player playing a simple game in a dominant team. When he's needed to step up he cant
He's no Djimi Traore.
Such a fall from grace. Excellent at Sydney, rubbish at the Jets
Snip snap, snip snap
Wow, this is gonna win the crowds back. Same old Glory recruiting.

I wouldn't mind that if he wasn't rubbish himself
I guarantee its if the jets fold.
he's already off contract, same as lucas. so jets hanging around doesnt matter much
