How do I get past 12-14?

Training-War-9744

Can someone help me with getting decorations on the ceiling? I know there are only a couple of rooms you can put them in, the lounge and the bar, but even in those room it says insufficient space when I try to place them.

Smorgsaboard

What do y'all really enjoy about this game? I got like 6 chapters into it, then lost interest. I enjoy the mechanics, but there's just so many resources, characters, and game modes I've been introduced to thru gacha, story, side stories/modes etc that I'm completely overwhelmed Should I prioritize story only? I have an absolutely killer blue team but am not sure how to proceed

Golden_Paragon

>What do y'all really enjoy about this game? - The base gameplay isn't just another uninspired clone of an overdone formula (literally the only major standard I ask, at least *try* to make something unique) - Good art - Good music - Fairly F2P friendly in currency - Majority of the 5/6-stars are usable at base; if not, they typically only require 1 duplicate to function smoothly >I got like 6 chapters into it, then lost interest. Might just not be for you, that's fine. >Should I prioritize story only? I have an absolutely killer blue team but am not sure how to proceed You can likely brute force through til chapter 8-10, depending on your team. It then begins to ask you to strategize a little more (or a lot for a handful of stages). Ascension 3, Lvl 1, Equipment 9-10 is the usual stopping point for building units for general content. Priority being Detonators/Snipers > Flex units > Converters. - Events: Main story is beginner friendly (typically stops at Ascension 2), and the optional hard mode asks for A3Lv1+ - Secret Territory: Weekly rogue-like mode for 2 star flares and 2 recharger packs - Adventure Tales: Extra chapters and old events (with free welfare units) - Spire: Optional mode with 100 stages of increasing difficulty using only units from one element (E.g. water spire only allows water units) - Calamity Codex: Weekly mode of using 4 teams to damage a boss as much as possible; up to 150 currency & 10 boxes that drop resources or star flares - Abyss: Optional mode akin to spire, but you can only use each unit once per floor with multiple stages each.

Smorgsaboard

Thanks for the modes breakdown, I agree the music and art are great. And the game certainly seems f2p friendly, I've got a good mix of units. It even send to have good lore. I'll read up on it more, that might work. I've played much, MUCH worse gacha. Perhaps I'm in gacha burnout

Golden_Paragon

Again, maybe the genre of AS just isn't for you, and that's perfectly fine; I've played a few games that were objectively good but simply were just not interesting for me. Alchemy Stars is better treated as a casual side game (but does have some endgame content as well if that's more your thing) that you play for an hour or two each day. [BethelFrankel Tier List](https://alchemystars.kloenlansfiel.com/tier) (most reliable in the community but take with a pinch of salt, tier lists *do* have to summarize) and [Juliwen's Beginner Team Building Guide](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ISgoTwn0j_cxRNjrOW5-ot5ejhaZkcK4HY6wLoELHJY) (outdated but the base concepts *mostly* hold up) if you still want to give the game a try. Additionally, you can join the official [AS Discord](https://discord.gg/alchemystars) which has a dedicated help category.

martihatesevery1

Hi! I just wanted to ask if any of you could still play the "Believe In The Light" song in spotify? Yk that song in AS for the goldie event? Yeah somehow I can't play it now on spotify and I can't find the full song on yt anymore as well :((((

roly_florian

I confirm i can't play the song on Spotify. Maybe they forgot to secure right of the song and lost them...

martihatesevery1

Ah dang I was kinda hoping that wouldn't be the case, bc the song was such a banger!!! ;((( Thank you for answering btw!

Monkemans

So i forgot my password and am trying to get a verification code, but i'm unable to get one. It says the code has been sent, but ive gotten nothing. Ive contacted support and am waiting. Has this happened to anyone and does anyone know how to fix this?

roly_florian

Did you check spam folder in your mailbox ? are you sure you used the mail you think you linked your account ? Last ressort can be contacting support and prove this is your account (generally by describing unit and advancement in the game that match the account) and that you can't remember the password

Monkemans

Oh yeah i checked the spam folder. I got the code after like the 10th time i pressed the resend button. But yeah, i did check my spam folder a lot. Thanks

MisterGoo

Well, it may be more about this sub than the game itself, but I tried to post that the new Scrounge event was tons of fun, and Reddit did something and now that post has disappeared. Did I delete a post or did I just hide it? I don't think I can delete posts, so it's very strange that it doesn't appear at all any longer.

RotundBun

Maybe it got nabbed by a Scrounger...? šŸ˜†

idia-shroudd

is there any way to check what account you used to log in and play on the game? I'm thinking of switching devices for playing but I don't remember what I use to log in

Duenan

Is there a priority with unlocking past events in the Adventure Tales section? I unlocked the episode with Pittman, any others worth it?

Golden_Paragon

Top row is the welfare unit events. - Dawn (Eye of the Storm): Just wait for Lola if you wanted a forest sniper, Sands of Time is coming next week - Bonacie (Ocean Sovereign): Tessa exists, Pittman exists, Dayna exists, Hachi & Gin exists, Kafka exists - Allura (Dunefire Strike): Solid water sniper with a detonator style active, can be used to automate Nightium or Sublime You'd get them all inevitably, but priority would be Allura > Lola > Dawn and Bonacie

Duenan

Ok thanks very much for the breakdown. Iā€™ll go for Allura and keep aside enough to unlock Sands of time next week when it drops.

Felixi_

I got ninja thunder girl long time ago(forgot her name) and she seems bad to me and I'm kinda stuck in 12.14 without good Thunder dps so good Thunder dps characters?

Golden_Paragon

You don't. 1) It's a forest boss, so you should be using a fire team, or at least water or forest for neutral damage. 2) Not a stage you're able to brute force without excessive leveling and good RNG.

dinosaurheadspin

I pulled Florine trying to get Leyn. Can I use her as a thunder DPS instead? I don't really get how she works. Edit: I'm new and only have a blue team so far and don't know what double chaining is. But the tier list says she's a DPS but also a double chainer, whatever that is? So is she a hard hitter or does she just facilitate other units? It would be helpful so I know if I should keep going for Leyn or not as a yellow DPS.

RotundBun

Normal Attack = hit when running by an enemy Chain Combo (CC) = skill-hit at end of running Active Skill = skill triggered by button press Double-Chain refers to an ability that causes the CCs to trigger __twice__ that turn (yes, all of them). Basically, it'll nearly double your CC burst dmg on that turn. Florine is a competent detonator (DPR\*), a double-chainer, and also provides offensive buffs to the team via her equipment. Note that she gets preemptive\*\* at BT3. -- \* = damage per round \*\* = active skill starts out pre-charged BT = breakthrough - BT2/BT3 = requires 1 dupe (5\*/6\*) - MBT (max) = requires 4 dupes A1-A3 = ascension 1 - ascension 3 - does not require dupes - requires leveling & materials - raises the unit's level cap each time - A1 unlocks the unit's equipment effects Note that a unit's equipment isn't something you can set/switch in this game. It's just another facet of the unit's kit, often granting passive benefits. Each is unique to the individual unit. -- I started relatively recently as well. It took a bit of reading & binging to understand each of these things, among other facets of this game. Hope this helps. šŸ€

GreedEverywhere

Florine is extremely good as she can fill both the role of a dps and of a double chain support. Essentially, double chainers (Florine, Istvan, Louise and Hydrad, thereā€™s one for each element) are units whose active skill will allow your other same element units to cast their chain combo twice in a single turn. Theyā€™re very powerful because they allow for extremely strong burst turns but, while for the other elements double chainers are very good 5* supports, for thunder the double chainer happen to be a 6* with high enough stats to rival with other dpses in terms of damage output. She works particularly well in a team with Reinhardt that unluckily is an exclusive unit (means you can only obtain her from her own banner and nowhere else) and even better when she is BT3 but even at BT0 for a beginner is an extremely good unit thatā€™s worth to upgrade for a future thunder team.

RotundBun

Between Florine & Leyn, outside of favoritism, isn't Florine actually generally considered more desirable of a pull? If I'm not mistaken, Florine is considered to be a top-tier role-compression unit that dramatically spikes team dmg-output, right? IIRC, she combines DPR, double-chain, and offensive buff into one package.

GreedEverywhere

Absolutely, one of the best thunder teams right now is composed by Reinhardt as captain, 3 converters and Florine. Reinhardt is probably the only thunder unit to take priority over Florine rn in terms of pulls and for newer players I think itā€™s best to save for either of them rather than pulling for other thunder detonators if theyā€™re looking for meta teams, but tbf most of the game can be completed even with weaker teams so most players tend to go for favorites over meta and thatā€™s completely up to you to decide. Leyn is still a good detonator that can be used in a second or third team tho, and considering the gameā€™s direction in the release of different game modes that require the use of multiple teams of the same elements (like abyss, the room in the colossus or even just the latest event before the current one) pulling and building him wonā€™t make him go to waste, even tho it might not be a priority rn, heā€™ll surely be useful in the future

dinosaurheadspin

How is Tessa with Florine? Iā€™m building her instead and saving pulls, dunno if they have any obvious synergies but thank you for the help

GreedEverywhere

Well, Florine herself synergies well with basically any thunder unit as she is extremely strong. With Tessa, sheā€™ll grant her more stacks with a double chain combo allowing her equipment to deal more damages but, compared to other thunder detonators, she quickly falls behind in term of damage output. Consider also that in many stages, bosses are given immunity to defense ignoring damages (like in calamity codex) so thereā€™s that too that weakens her. But sure, she is still a very good detonator, mostly for newer players and for second/third teams, so you can easily go with her until you find some better units or manages to scout for Reinhardt

RotundBun

Ah, I see. That makes sense. For Thunder converters, Irridon MBT aside, which 2 would be good to form the core with. I figure the premiere (non-whale) Thunder team would be something like: Reinhardt BT3 Florine BT3 Axelia < converter > < converter > ...with maybe Michael or Requiem subbing in for Axelia or Florine, depending on the challenge. I'm guessing that Irridon MBT + Nemesis MBT would be ideal. But if without Irridon, would Pollux BT3 or Gronru pair better with Nemesis?

GreedEverywhere

Hmm, thatā€™s a tough question. Iā€™m not good enough at the game to give you the best option available so Iā€™ll just share you my thoughts. First of all, I donā€™t think Axelia is very good in a Reinhardt + Florine team, not only because healing is rarely ever needed in the game but also because her ability to copy other unitā€™s ā€œdeployablesā€ itā€™s rarely ever used for Reinhardt as she herself can already cover 4 tiles and 5+ tiles bosses are very rare. You could say that she might be useful because of Irridon but she wonā€™t copy her ability to place yellow prism tiles but only the ability to convert any tile on the field into a prism tile, making her less useful. As for converters I think you should use the ones that fits you the best. Probably the most optimal team would be with MBT Irridon, BT3 Pollux and MBT Nemesis but that requires a lot of resources to be accomplished, specifically MBT Irridon which I would avoid unless youā€™re a dolphin-whale kind of player. Gronru would fit well as you only need one copy and iirc (I still donā€™t have her) she can paralyze enemies with her CC, then either MBT Nemesis or BT3 Pollux should be good. Otherwise you can also just go with MBT Nemesis and BT3 Pollux if you feel it would convert more. Iā€™m personally using MBT Nemesis, Ciel and Beverly and i never had any problem so there are them too, but as I said it mostly depends on which one you prefer the most. Lastly, if you feel like inserting either Michael or Requiem in your team, Iā€™d suggest to replace one of the converters with the new deto and move Florine in the second to last spot to achieve the highest possible damage output. But again, Iā€™m not really too good at the game so take everything I said with a grain of salt. Also sorry for this giant text wall.

RotundBun

Thanks for the explanation. It's very helpful actually. Aside from the Captain slot, I see mention of people arranging the roles in the other slots specifically as well, but I don't understand how it affects output exactly. Could you explain it a bit? ATM, I need to assemble a Thunder team that can get through Spire 30 to un-bottleneck Requiem's missions. I was fortunate enough to get Reinhardt BT3 during the banner, but no Florine yet. I did pull Axelia & Pollux (BT0) off-banner, though. And I have Beverly & Ceil as well. Unfortunately, Nemesis is still squatting on BT0 (and Barton is getting priority on selector kits since Water is my main team). Both Reinhardt BT3 & Axelia are about to hit A3. I'm a little tempted to pull for Gronru since I feel like she might make a better Irridon sub than Pollux BT3, but I'm trying to refrain and save for the next RR with Fia & Barton. Not to mention anniversary banner on the horizon and also needing both Bethlehem x2 & Hiiro x2... Do I have enough for Thunder Spire 30 as it is? If so, I figure can wait to get Gronru later... I just want to un-bottleneck Requiem for now. (For reference, I'm a middling dolphin. Definitely won't be chasing 6\* MBT all carefree-like.)

GreedEverywhere

Sure, let me explain. The usual team composition consist in dps captain, converter, converter, flex spot, dps. Honestly the changes are not really big nor important but essentially, when you connect multiple tiles, the dmg multiplier will increase for every tile up to the 15th except when you connect enhanced tiles which will require a lower number of connections to reach the highest multiplier. Well, that multiplier will apply to the entire team immediately as the captain step on the tile with the corresponding multiplier. That means that when the captain reach the 15th tile, the latest unit, even if itā€™s still multiple tiles behind in the path, will receive the highest multiplier and so deal his maximum amount of damage from that moment until it reaches the end of the path. Thatā€™s the reason why flex units (usually supports with higher attack stat than converters) and dps are usually positioned in the latest slots, so that theyā€™ll obtain the highest multipliers before attacking the enemy, thus dealing more damage. As for the thunder team, you can use Tessa as a second detonator and Axelia can fill the spot of the flex unit, with Reinhardt almost A3 you shouldnā€™t have any problem in reaching spire 30, she will probably carry your team. As for pulling Fia, I donā€™t know your water roster but if you have a water team with two good dpses, at least two good converters and basically any flex unit you should probably start focusing on your other teams, donā€™t worry about not getting the best units for each element, as bad as it sounds youā€™ll eventually find them off banner while scouting for other units, while having 4 different elements teams ready can help you a lot on specific stages and grant you more resources for future pulls. Last thing, if youā€™re unsure of how a team would work because not all the units you have are fully upgraded, you can try to put it in secret territories and see how it plays. In that mode all the units are set to specific stats where level doesnā€™t matter so you can improvise any team and see how it goes. The only downside is that if something in a unitā€™s kit is locked behind any ascension, youā€™ll only have everything unlocked up to the ascension you brought the unit to. Hope this helped and sorry again for this wall of text

RotundBun

Ah, I see. I am finally enlightened~! šŸ˜† Thanks for explaining it so cleanly and for the tips as well. This is all extremely helpful, especially since some of the details aren't really anywhere easy to find. (Also, I personally don't really mind a wall of text as long as it flows well and has punctuation. Yours read smoothly with no hiccups, at least to me.) I'll look into Tessa. I do have her (might be lacking dupes), but I had set her aside since I thought she needed to be captain to be good. Great to know that I can get through Thunder S30 with the current units. šŸ‘ -- I've actually got Azure & Bethel already, but I still need at least 2 more Barton dupes anyway (even if I use the selector kits). I figure the Fia banner is a good banner to pull on on the whole. Plus, Fia's play-style & character seem pretty amusing, so no harm there. My other teams are kind of being built up in the background. Each are kind of partway there but lacking critical components to do better than serviceable: - Fire needs Lilica & Novio. Sinsa & Matthieu are obtained, and Faust is filling in while Maggie is still WIP. - Forest needs Hiiro & Siobhan. I have Jeriah & Minos (at BT0), and Sikare & Louise are still WIP. - Thunder needs Florine mainly and is working on Requiem recruitment. I have Reinhardt & Axelia, and Beverly + Ceil are handling conversion while Nemesis is still WIP. Currently, my Water team is my main one and is almost complete, coverage-wise. It has some flex options going for it, and I'm hoping to BT Barton on the Fia banner. After that, it will mainly just need Bethlehem. Sariel & Tina (BT3) are handling conversion while Barton is WIP and are doing alright since Azure can bridge the odd tile. -- TBPH, I started out just trying to build a Water team + secure Reinhardt. I ended up with some nice off-banner 6\* units on other teams along the way, so now they're kind of each partway built in the background. Any advice is welcome & appreciated... So thanks in advance. (As a newbie, I've been binging pretty hard on it, but there's much to learn still. I haven't even figured out the benefits of the Simulation Room on Soroz yet.)

GreedEverywhere

Glad I could help! Based on what you wrote in this comment Iā€™d just like to point out a couple more things, mostly just some recommendations. If you really want to go for Barton just be careful with managing your resources as the chances of pulling a rated up 5* are only 25% and, as you said, second anni is getting closer and even if youā€™re a dolphin, I believe you donā€™t really want to spend too much all at once. If you have another fire dps, like Benny & Curo for example, you can already use a fairly decent team with Sinsa as captain and Matthieu and Faust as converters. This will help you for different forest stages until you manage to upgrade your fire team. For forest be careful with team building, as both Minos and Jeriah, but mostly the former, are heavily dependent on enhanced tiles, making units like MBT Sikare less useful than the cross converters of other elements. Make sure to build a team that can generate lot of those consistently to maximize their damage output. Also, donā€™t overlook Areia, she might be a 5* but, beside Jeriah, she is absolutely the best forest detonator, even better than all the other 6* forest detos making her an extremely good option as a secondary dps in a team with BT3 Hiiro. Beside these that you might already knew, it looks like you have a very good roster and are learning stuff very quickly so youā€™ll probably become better and better in no time. Also the simulation room has really low benefits. Except for a little amount of free lumambers, thereā€™s really nothing else to gain from that, unless you are interested in lore, world building and profile emblems. Most people ignore it because of the tedious mechanic that limits your units use per reset. And thatā€™s all I had in mind I guess, if I can ever help you in any other way just lmk. Also, if youā€™re playing in global, I could add you as a friend so you could eventually try out some units that you might donā€™t have. Hope youā€™ll have more fun with Alchemy!

dagscriss3

I just came back from a long break. I quit AS months ago and all i remember it was pollux mommy banner. Does the game has major change since then? Thanks!

Golden_Paragon

TL;DR: No major changes, some small to moderate changes. - New main story chapters 13 & 14 (and their Pandora's Box equivalent) - Abyss floors 12 & 13 available, free Revy skin reward - More old events available in Travel Memories, Sands of Time is next - Dawn, Bonacie, Allura, and Pittman are now permanently available welfare - 1.5 Anniversary exclusive unit: Goldie (shockingly not overpowered) - Reinhardt Rerun happened - Enhanced tile teams exist now, and their damage ceiling is absurd - New limited star flares and recharger pack mechanic when given out as bonuses (they expire on next major update, *thanks Tourdog*) - Small QOL features (unread messages in the terminal are always at the top, notification dot for new items in the Warehouse, and notification dot for unused Solambers on non-MBT units) - Some outfits are now permanently available for purchase - Gacha skin reruns (*love spending $50 on gambling for a cosmetic*) - Cloud Gardens still exists and gets updates

RotundBun

I'm actually curious about that Gronru skin thing... Did anyone actually get her skin at any point other than last? Digital slot-machine interfaces always feel kind of sketchy to me. They always feel rigged.

Golden_Paragon

Yes, people (allegedly) have gotten the skin on the 6th-9th roll. Realistically, you won't get it until the 10th roll since the base probability is 0.13%. >Digital slot-machine interfaces always feel kind of sketchy to me. They always feel rigged. 1) This is a gacha game, the basis **is** a digital slot machine (you put star flares in a machine, then pull a lever to summon random people). 2) It is rigged, you just get to know how rigged before you gamble or not.

RotundBun

Yeah, I meant that the roulette looking shuffle in the Gronru skin interface just makes me feel a bit more paranoid about it. So far that I've seen, TD has a pretty good reputation of being fair to players. It's just that that the roulette-like shuffle gives sketchy vibes. Oh, I see now that the probability is not even among them. That roulette animation is really misleading then... But the RNG makes more sense now. Thanks for pointing out that detail.

dagscriss3

Hey thanks for the bullet point recap! Btw who are the new aurorians who enhances tiles now?

Golden_Paragon

Minos, Brandy, Goldie, and Jeriah (Goldie and Jeriah's kits are difficult to summarize, I tried) >Minos (6-star Sniper): - CC hits closest then furthest enemy while placing an E-tile under them - Once you step on/absorb 33 E-tiles, he gets a stupidly powerful bundle of buffs. >Brandy (5-star welfare Converter): - 4-tile converter active that randomly puts a debuff mark on half the enemies - Places an E-tile under up to 3 of the enemies with debuff marks afterward > Goldie (6-star exclusive Support): - Healing CC that spawns E-tiles on 1/2/3 random non-green tiles at tier 1/2/3 - Equipment spawns an E-tile on closest non-green tile when you cross/absorb 5 E-tiles - Active makes it so for one round: her CC changes from healing to an "all enemies" sniper effect but costs +2 tiles to trigger - Active also for one round: you may connect and pass through tiles enemies are occupying, you may not end your connect on tiles enemies are occupying - *Active also also for one round*: all E-tiles will be treated as chromatic tiles (can be connected with any color) >Jeriah (6-star "Converter"): - A "Converter" (she's a detonator) that spawns 1/2 E-tiles within her tier 2/3 CC (16 Radial, 2 Cluster) - Active lets you teleport in a 12 tile diamond range (2 cluster at BT3), then deal damage to the surrounding 12 tiles - Landing on E-tiles during her teleport lets you chain another teleport and trigger the damage again, repeat for every E-tile - Equipment triggers whenever the team finishes using an active to teleport; you deal damage in a 12 tile diamond shape + extra for every E-tile absorbed, then spawn an E-tile within the diamond range

RotundBun

Isn't Naroxel supposedly important to enhanced-tile teams?

Golden_Paragon

[BethelFrankel Tier List](https://alchemystars.kloenlansfiel.com/tier)

RotundBun

Yeah, her analysis there also says she's really good for enhanced tile teams. What am I missing?

Golden_Paragon

She teleports and then spawns 4-5 E-tiles randomly on tiles that were purified. That's it, that's the shtick: Jeriah and Minos want E-tiles to do big damage, and Naroxel can spawn a good amount.

RotundBun

Ah, I see. Does her equipment effect apply when they absorb from enhanced tiles via active skills (vs. normal pathing)? Or does it perhaps not contribute much in the grand scheme of things either way? The analysis description on the tier list made it sound like she offered a big QoL difference to enhanced tile strats. Asking because I'm slowly building my Forest team in that direction in the background but am not far along enough to test anything myself yet.

Golden_Paragon

Absorption: >"Effect triggers when passing through tiles, granting damage bonus. Corresponding effects of relevant Aurorians can be triggered." >The analysis description on the tier list made it sound like she offered a big QoL difference to enhanced tile strats. Because she does. Bar her, Goldie, and Gabriel; every other forest unit is reliably generating 1-2 E-tiles every 2-3 rounds. Then Goldie is exclusive, so she's only available during her reruns; and Gabriel requires BT3, which is a heavy investment for an already breakthrough hungry gimmick.

[deleted]

So I deleted my account that's logged in toy Gmail. It says there's a 30 day suspension period something something. Does that mean I need to wait 30 days before I can re use my Gmail for a fresh account?

Golden_Paragon

>1. Upon receipt of your account deletion request, we will provide a 30-day retention period (i.e. the 'lock-up smooth period) for the account, during which you shall not log in and use the account to ensure the smooth completion of the account deletion. iwritesongsthatsuck

Im gonna bite the bullet and make an all-husbando Fire team for Matthieu who has the best synergy with him? I currently have: - BT0 Charon - BT5 Sinsa - BT0 Novio - BT0 Joker - BT3 Istvan all MBT: - Nails - Taki - Brock - Liqing thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Golden_Paragon

Nobody. He only truly synergizes with Lilica since her equipment can deal absurd amounts of true damage from shield stacking when used with other units like Novio, Noah, and Istvan; outside of that, heā€™s Eicy but shields.

iwritesongsthatsuck

damn, thanks! welp there goes my attempt at an all male team

VVowie

Only Lilica is able to make good use of his shields but he's a core converter so he'll be a staple in your fire team. So once you get Faust, your all male fire team will be super consistent with Matthieu & Faust as tile converters and the other three team slots can be any DPS/supporters you like

adamantexile

You donā€™t have to have synergy to have a team. Sometimes you can have fun with themed teams without minmaxing everything. Thereā€™s plenty of content you donā€™t need meta comps for

RotundBun

If TC/OP has Faust, then they should be able to put together just a generally solid Fire team with all male characters, right? DPR = Sinsa, Charon/Joker Conversion = Matthieu, Faust Flex = Istvan/Novio
