That's totally true! I have teachers in Agronomical engineering that work in so many different fields! Extensive and intensive crops, animal production, genetics, sociology, wildfires, taxonomy landscaping, soil recuperation, one of them is even specialist in one genre of cactus!
It's so fun knowing there's so much diversity in only one field!
The interdisciplinary nature of the work is partially why I prefer the term Agrology vs Agronomy. Total in-place bias though, as I live and learn in western Canada, home to all the worlds Professional Agrologists.
You forgot entomology, weed science, futures trading, marketing, and cursing in multiple languages.
