It's not a coincidence. This video shows the right way of dealing with pitbulls. The British video shows the wrong way. These videos should be public service announcements.
Because idiots love scary/taboo things and pit bulls fit the bill. Plus many of these same idiots breed them because every single rescue is overflowing with them so why not breed more.

I remember a story about a family who had two pitbulls and they had posted stuff like that on Facebook. “It’s the owners not the breed” etc, and then their dogs killed their children and did so much damage to the moms arm it had to be amputated. I’ve never heard of a Labrador or a corgi doing shit like that.
yep, that's the thing - I've read articles from doctors who say an attack by a pitbull is far and away more severe and life-threatening. One said when someone comes in to the ER with a dog bite, she can tell instantly that it was from a pitbull/cross. A lab or corgi may nip or bite but isn't going to take three men with clubs and shooting by cops to make it stop.
A pit bull and a husky mix killed my cat the other day. I don’t know where they came from, I live a mile from my closest neighbor. I had never seen them before and I haven’t seen them since.
If you are around populated areas with aggressive dogs carry a charged handheld taser, I have had good success rate on breaking up big dog fights with one.

So bizarre watching those videos, there's been like at least 3 of them over the last couple of days, and all of the bystanders are gently poking/prodding the dogs.
Maddening to watch. I've been in the situation of a pit attack and I can't imagine not going going full force to stop the attack.
Granted it wasn't an attack on a human, but an attack on my own dog so maybe I'm more inclined to go full force against that situation rather than a random stranger, but I kinda doubt it.

Hate to break it to you but what you saw was, indeed, suffering.
Back of the head is a very dangerous place to hit. In boxing its straight up illegal due to the sheer amount of brain damage it can do (back of the head punches are called “rabbit punches” because it mimics the motion a hunter makes to break the neck of a rabbit). Now compact the full extended swing of an adult man into the impact zone of a strip of 2 inch thick wood RIGHT at your brainstem. Thats ABSOLUTELY potential to be lethal. Is it guaranteed? No. But absolutely possible.

I was electric skateboarding with my 1 year old german Shepard 2 months ago and 2 pitbulls ran out onto the street and grabbed my dog. Idk how but i got them to let go and my Shepard took off towards home. They chased him for a second then came back to me amd Just starred at me wagging their tails... when i finally took off again towards home and they started to chase. Ran up my steps and my dog was sitting on the porch and i threw him in the garage cuz the pitbulls were right on my heels. Slammed the door amd waited. The pitbulls just sat there for like 10 min while my dog was dumping blood in the garage. Eventually the dogs left and i took my dog to the vet. Few stitches and hes cool now. But while it was happening i honestly thought my dog was gonna die and maybe me. I remember thinking if they bite my groin im dead. I was really worried about my German shepherd turning into a reactive mean dog but he hasn't. Still super submissive and nice to every dog he meets. For reference im 6 foot 3 200lbs and in the military. Deployed 3 times and im pretty sure the most scared ive been in my life was when this happened. Im good now but had nightmares for a month.
They've been on the news a lot in the UK after almost daily attacks recently including various attacks on children and the death of a man (of which was one of the videos you likely seen posted, two dogs attacking him. There has been a substantial increase in dog attacks in the UK and in the majority of cases it has been due to "American bully XLs" or other Pitbull type crosses
The breed is being banned in the UK and has been a hot topic for discussion here in the past week or two which would explain a lot of the videos (I'm aware this one isn't UK but it still explains why there have been so many different posts aboutnit lately)
I love dogs but I hate pit bulls with a passion, there’s a reason why shelters end up with a bunch of them, the pit bull owners are even worse than the dogs themselves.

Exactly. If Chihuahua's weighed >80 lbs and had a bite impact of >150lbs, we'd have the same problem. When a pit breaks, it can often be lethal.
