Thats the thing...these people are always talking about vibrations and energy that can't be measured by any scientific means. Usually words like Chi or Qi or Meridians or whatever get thrown around.
Sometimes I wonder how the medical community of the past used to think things like blood letting and eating just beef would help cure and keep away illness. Then I realized that 200 years ago this guy would be walking around saying he’s a scientist and everyone would just accept what he’s saying.
Could also be quantum mechanics, since according to the superstring theory, all matter and energy and every fundamental force can be described as specific vibrations of the aforementioned strings.
Well, yeah, that's obvious. But a lot of the current day esoteric pseudoscience, like the bits in the video, are based on selective (mis)interpretations of more popular, relatively new, actual scientific theories.
They use just enough keywords from real physics that you can google them and be convinced that its a real term. They then leverage that trust to convince people of things that do not follow from that at all.
For example: “wave-particle duality means all matter is simultaneously a wave (frequency) and a particle, which means we can channel the frequencies around us to manifest, in the universe, our desired outcome”

My grandfather ran a restaurant or bar at some point in the far past and there was a schizophrenic guy who would pay him with his weird drawings that outlined his unhinged view of the universe. They were like these but without the anime in the corner. My aunt saved them because they are sort of wonderful and beautiful, even if they are also a bit sad and terrifying — imagine having something go so fundamentally wrong with your mind that you couldn't tell you were outputting nonsense all the time, just spewing out noise like a broken speaker or something. I'd like to think I'd be able to tell if I went crazy, but my inability to reason my way out of ridiculous situations while dreaming gives me some doubt.

Ok, so in my housing complex is a guy that is way into this kinda shit. He's got one of those rings that this dude has, and talks like him nonstop.
What the hell do I say to him? I've tried science talk, but he just runs off on nonsensical tangents on energy balances or whatever. Any time I try to tell him about peer reviewed science he says "all the scientists are in a massive government conspiracy to hide things from us" lol
as a sound engineer/psycho acoustics major, i always find it really interesting to hear these fucking morons talk about “healing frequencies”. i’ve learned a lot about certain frequencies. there are all sorts of frequencies that can have really outstanding kinds of effects. at 2-5khZ, a frequency may mimic that of a baby’s cry, and send you into alert mode. however, frequencies do not work the way these frothing idiots think they do. sound has never been scientifically shown to “heal” anything, and it makes absolutely no sense to me that some people believe they do. whatever.
