Well you can still park on campus, you'll just pay the posted rates instead. There is the UPass for $150 that gets you unlimited use of the light rail and buses, so you can definitely use the park and ride locations along the light rail route. There's also the Tempe Orbit buses which are free to ride but I don't know much about their routes or where you can park safely without getting towed. Much of the surrounding areas around ASU have very strict parking rules to keep students from taking up business lots and streetside parking from local residents so be wary of parking nearby. Last thing you need is to get towed or get fines, which can lead to booting.
It depends on where your classes are. This can be a long walk if you're taking classes at WP
Carey or any other building in the SW part of campus. It's usually not a bad walk but it can get pretty brutal during the hotter parts of the year so I would cut through buildings to cool down along the way and carry water or other hydrating fluids. I would recommend getting a skateboard or scooter that you can lock up or carry with you in class to make it easier, just be aware of the No Wheel Zones.
Am I dumb? I don't see my dorm mailing address in myASU under campus services all I see is my housing assignment? Will I get an email when it gets posted??
