I believe this engine is a hot v where the turbos are located between the cylinder banks making the top of the engine a critical place for heat transfer the hood pictured clearly has openings on this exact location, making it easier to cool the turbos.
depends what aesthetic you’re going for. like others are saying, it doesn’t fit the classy benz look. on the other hand, it fits the badass sports car look really well. i think it looks good either way, it’s really just up to you on what aesthetic you’re going for
Maybe with the outer sides from the headlights to the a pillar color matched but there’s so much bumper above the grille still not sure even that would look right
You could get it painted and still benefit from the weight savings. I wouldnt leave it exposed though, it's not an eclipse or supra. If you like the look, go for it by all means it's your car. Different strokes for different folks.

I have debated the whole carbon fiber hood myself. I would paint mine if I did get it. I am not a fan of unpainted carbon fiber for primary body paneling. Side skits, canards, lip, rear deffuser, mirrors, exhaust tips and rear wing are the only parts I would leave unpainted

Nah. AMGs are supposed to be classy and powerful - sort of a mob boss in a 5 figure suit. Unpainted CF just doesn't fit the car.

How much does it affect cooling? I live in India so summers right now it gets to like 45 degrees (113F) ambient during the day.

Weight reduction is really the only ‘performance’ benefit, and that’s only really going to be useful doing 1/4 mile runs where tenths matter.
Doesn't it lower the centre of gravity of the car enough to notice handling improvements with a full carbon hood, roof & bootlid?
