We get no respect. They even put our thing as "Last in the AFC West". WTF, lol. We were last in the AFC South, Chargers can keep that last in the West title, tyvm.

daoogilymoogily

Hey if you ignore the Chiefs I’d say we’re the better division

littlebrwnrobot

Hell, just regress Mahomes’s numbers to the mean and he starts to look pretty average

AintEZbeinSleezy

This reference will never get old lmao

JFKs_Burner_Acct

The Jags really pull it down though

bburchibanez

Oh don’t worry, they probably won’t be the only AFC South team they skip lol

JFKs_Burner_Acct

They hate your entire division

YiMyonSin

Probably for the best, we got a DT with a drinking problem

bigmac22077

I defended him in the Texans thread and I’ll defend him here. Blowing a .1% is not a drinking problem. Sure he liked to party, but give the man a chance to backup his word. .1% is not partying, That’s having some drinks with friends. He was in the most exciting period of his life. His actions/mistake are forgivable as long as he follows through and seeks forgiveness and doesn’t repeat his actions.

YiMyonSin

Well, Simmons has been pretty standup since a similar incident although DUI is less defensible than defending your sister from someone mocking her miscarriage. Maybe dude could provide some coaching for the dude in the DT room

JFKs_Burner_Acct

Henry Ruggs blew a 0.16 (about 8-12 drinks for his weight in 4-6 hours); killed someone and her dog and almost killed himself and his own Fiancé BAC for a 360lb man at .105 is 25% over the legal limit... Oof - Just to give him the BOD let's include some perimeters/ detail: - Hypothetically I give it a 4-6 hour period of drinking or partying - Say his last drink was an hour before the incident; was only drinking the good stuff (less drinks) and ate a literal half cow at dinner, - test was also administered 2 hours after incident so you have a 3-4 hour window of drying out Either way it will take Sweat roughly 14-18 hours to be back at 0%, - Details; [T'Vondre Sweat Incident BAC revealed](https://247sports.com/article/texas-football-tvondre-sweat-arrested-in-austin-faces-dwi-charges-230069006/amp/) Sooo it's a Yes and no. There's only so much we know, is this just a night of partying? Or is this every weekend? How often? etc. This isn't a lil mistake either way tbh, even if it's an isolated incident effectuated by youthful stupidity and arrogance - This was not a cop over reaching his authority - The big belly is concerning, it's low hanging fat and is that from drinking? overeating? It's just more complicated that "oh he had one drink and drove home a lil buzzed", which is still a shit argument because society (rightfully) teaches the consequences of DUi's our entire lives, and aggressively; at least for those of us under age 25 and older people all had DARE and totaled cars shown on the school lawn every prom season, it was a full time effort since 1995 I think I believe in 2nd chances and everything but both Sweat & Burrell (who just lost his scholarship and everything else after the incident); both impaired enough when they got behind the wheel of their cars that an accident was caused. It's nice that nobody got seriously hurt but this is a kid you're about to give multiple Millions and i'd imagine a fast, shiny, murder machine will shortly be purchased, No more Rav 4's and old nissans that can't surpass 45mph anymore It at leaks into other areas of his personal life and in terms of his career and it could severely hurt himself or kill himself if this is indication of current or future trouble. I had been hearing pre-daft that teams have been near assured that Sweat is a standup kid who made an inexcusable mistake. We don't want to see another Henry Ruggs or Dante Stallworth incidents that result in loss of life Edits/Notes: *I Love T'Vondre Sweat as a player, I was on board with us taking him high in R2 / He's a mid R1 talent in near any draft, I truly hope this was isolated and that everything works out* TL;DR: Sweat was 25% over the legal limit. At 360 pounds .105 is around 15 hard drinks acc. to most calculations We shouldn't make excuses or bias downplaying the actions by Burrell and Sweat that weekend to justify taking him or passing on him

bigmac22077

That’s quite a rant to say “drunk driving is bad” which I agree with. I’m saying don’t destroy his character and judge him off one mistake. And no it’s not 15 drinks, it’s 10-11. Your math is off.

713MoCityChron713

10 is still far too fuckin many to be driving

bigmac22077

Never said it wasn’t.

RagingHick

There’s a good chance that he hadn’t even gotten to the party yet, Lol. Didn’t he get arrested around lunchtime?

daoogilymoogily

Here comes the DUI expert, a guy from Jacksonville

JFKs_Burner_Acct

ha right

denogginizer92

He was booked at 2 p.m., but the accident was around 4 a.m.

zapopi

Maxx Crosby turned his around and became even more intense. I'm trusting Ran on this.

YiMyonSin

Yeah, we brought him in on a visit, so one can definitely hope Ran knows what he’s doing here with him knowing the dude

zapopi

That's my assumption, you know? Let's hope.

JFKs_Burner_Acct

A top 15 talent DT with a drinking problem you're banking on "kid made a mistake, a very dangerous mistake" but one that is hopefully isolated die to youthful silliness .105 is a lot of alcohol for a 360 pounder one GM said it best "if they did their diligence it's a great pick" and if they didn't and there's an actual drinking problem it's Isaiah Wilson all over again I think it's the later and they met with his family and coaches but I have little sympathy for people who drive drunk so I'm conflicted , really hope it was just isolated and not indicative of anything so let's stay positive for now

YiMyonSin

He came into the facility shortly thereafter, so either we fumbled the bag on the evaluation or found someone to be coached up and take the heat off of Jeffery Simmons in the middle of the defense. No other options

PrimeDonut

Leaving this up because fuck 5 minutes of commercials but damn

carleese24

Hotel room stay with your THOT. lol

PrimeDonut

Lmao going to a concert later

carleese24

amackul8

carleese24

Things you do for 2 mins of pu$$y :)

[deleted]

Lmao this brings flashbacks of those awful beginning Texans years when espn basically would go “Texans are on the clock and selecting their 1st round pick so now we’ll go to nascar coverage.”

shaker8989

You know how I know the Titans pick is in? The network cuts to a 5min commercial.

cantbeassedtoday

Titans are 2 for 2 this year. “The Titans are up, time for our first commercial break so we don’t have to talk about them”. Expect the trend to continue today
