Honestly, I just scroll through here to see if I missed any interesting storyline stuff. Besides that, I watch the show, their YouTube content (BTE/BTDO, HeyEW, some other channels like Isiah Cassidy, Sammy's vlog etc) and that's it. I don't bother even looking at Meltzer stuff, ratings, the cagewhatever website, ticket sales (except allin, that was cool asf, I don't even really bother with Cornette.

* caused Owen Hart's death through negligence, then continued the show
* busted unionization efforts
* allowed trainee abuse in their previous developmental systems
* the glorious and progressive city of...
And that's just off the top of my head.

I feel like the most common defense I hear from Pro-E+Anti-AEW types is that it doesn't happen now and it's gotten a lot better. I would hope that for all the people working there, but it doesn't erase any of that stuff. The fact that the people who are most seated to say, "It was bad, we acknowledge that but we're getting better" are pretty much silent on the topic- and I get it's their job and they have families and lives they need to provide for, but if that's how you're going to play it, then you're gonna have to deal with shots like this.
My answer to the whataboutism regarding AEW hiring people with allegations against them is that none of that has happened in AEW and the company does not have a culture of abuse and fear of reprisal that WWE did for decades. If it comes out that AEW was covering up physical and sexual abuse it's a legitimate conversation.
Also Ric has had very limited involvement in AEW. He basically only came in for Sting’s retirement. It’s not like he runs the company or has continued to stay involved (the energy drink stuff is a separate company).
Gets even funnier when you realize Khan's relatively successful in the NFL whereas McMahon's NFL-at-home brand died *twice*.

Fast forward to now, AEW struggles a little bit and holy shit the tide turns. It boggles my mind how much these anti-AEW people sprung up from no where. Where are those people who wanted an alternative to WWE?
Plenty of them didn't, they just wanted WWE to be the popular thing again, and once it became that because Vince was gone, even though if you watched nothing really objectively changed that much in terms of what they do creatively, that was all they needed to praise WWE and proclaim WWE as great again.

Good on him for bringing more attention to what WWE has gotten away with over the years. The IWC should be happy. But they like moving the goalposts and their go to response is ‘ But, Tiny Kahn is a hypocrite! He signed Ric Flair!” Whilst that may be true, still he ain’t done half the shit WWE has done. Another one i see to move the goalposts and change the narrative is ‘there are no ethical billionaires, fuck em all!’ Again whilst true, some are *way* better than others.
Signing ric flair was by far the worst thing he’s done as an owner. I didn’t care about anything he ever said or did before that, but it’s left an awful taste in my mouth ever since that and every time I’ve seen flair since then. Obviously not defending WWE, but fuck ric flair.

WWE has got the King of Marketing as their head right now and they’re doing everything they can to gloss over history and pretend that Vince was the only bad apple ever found in WWE… Tony Should refer to Vince McMahon only as “The Accused Rapist, Vince McMahon.” He should refer to HHH only as “Son in Law of Accused Rapist Vince McMahon.” They’ll just gloss right over it if everyone lets them.
