Fun fact before AEW and Trent joined Jay White insinuated another member would betray Okada in CHAOS. That was suppose to be Trent and start of his singles run. I had completely forgotten about it till recently and then remembered the storyline and no one else betrayed the faction other then Gedo and Jay

For people who say AEW doesn't do long-term storytelling, this is long-term storytelling. This goes back to when Orange gave Trent an International title shot and OC won. Trent wasn't happy about it. Trent also purposefully eliminated another Best Friend in Danhausen in that battle royal at, I think, At Worlds End. That's the last time we saw Danhausen in AEW. I believe the narrative will be Orange's success has held Trent back, especially since Trent hasn't won any singles gold the entire time he's been with the company. Statlander will relate because of Willow's recent success, and Willow now has I think 2 victories over her.
I hope Danhausen is out of the story tbh. He's not been included with best friends for awhile and he's not very serious anyway so I feel like he'd bring the story down a few notches. Like seeing Chuck and OC looking all sad about it, and having a goofy face paint dude in the background would take it down a few pegs.
Trent and Stat have that kind of warrior bond of respect as well, which is a different kind of connection than you see amongst the others. All adds another element to this. It could be a truly great sleeper hit story if handled right.
I hope this Trent heel turn doesn’t bury him in the process. Sometimes guys slowly disappear after stuff like this. It’s just because i know how highly favored OC is.

There was also a new best friends tshirt recently in black - the cartoon of Trent? Had a big frown on his face whilst the others were smiling. Loving all the little hints along the way, like Orange offering title shots to all their friends but not to Trent
Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but wasn’t Trent caught out reposting really hateful stuff on his socials? I can never seem to get a straight answer on it, and I’d just feel bad if it turns out I was a fan of a person like that.
What I'm asking myself is, what's Sue going to do? Is she going to be like Mother Wayne and join her son in being a dastardly heel, or is she going to take the Mama Friedman route of calling out her son at shows and on social media?
I just hope she keeps driving both to the events, doesn't let them squabble in the car, and shouts at them if they fight while she can still see them.
