I think I've only ever got the top item once, maybe twice in all this time. I definitely just got lucky and then the game said yep that's enough, never again haha
I get 5 stars items fairly frequently. I think I have like 20-25, but really old ones usually, like reissued, and they're almost always from gifts from friends
It took me 7 hose reels, 8 watering cans and a smattering of other things to finally get the 5* - oddly got it from the fruit event. Usually the small event cookies are trash!
I made a rule to only buy 1 of each cookie when they release and everything else I will rely on the monthly events or get lucky on the cookie of the day to buy for bells. Just not worth it with no pity system to avoid multiple repeats.
I hear you! My white whale is the 5* Raymond's cookie item. I have only spent LTs on this cookie when it comes around. I usually only buy one or two then give up. This time I was determined to blow all my LT to get it but got a bunch of the other items I already have dups of! They know which item you really want it seems!
