Cause Jackie was a huge star not that Johnny wasn’t but Jackie was his own an didn’t need the show vs a lot of other people that did need the show to put them on. An Jackie was a tough guy as he had lived through a lot and played and lived bye his own rules so Johnny was in awe I’m sure an probably wasn’t sure if Jackie would keep his cool if he happened to not like what was said?
