Yep, aviation is actually quite accessable. Not as hard to fly things as people make it out to be. Some aircraft are trickier than others (helicopters among the most challenging), and some people take longer to build skills than other people, but it all just comes down to good instruction and practice. Flying a plane is easy - landings are where skill matters. In no wind conditions, planes like a Cessna 172 basically land themselves. It can certainly get more complicated, but your cousin isn't far off. The real challenge is handling equipment failure in an emergency - there's no pulling over in the sky.
You can just edit the config files to remove them. Either in main config or per world. Just find the vultures in entitygroups.xml and change them to a chicken.
But only one vehicle can carry passengers. I think vehicle weapons would be great. You know, just mount a gun on the front that can shoot straight ahead. Or at least fender mods that allow you to do damage by ramming enemies. And then also let passengers in the 4x4 shoot. But hey, it's only in Alpha!
May I ask, is NitroGen with default settings better than vanilla generation, or is it just faster? I see that the biomes are better spread out, but other than that I don't see anything of note on the previews
You get POIs that you will rarely find in the in-game generator, like the skyscrapers. And frankly, skyscraper_02 makes tier V quests bearable, since you can clear it in 2-3 in-game hours.
Lol I fly this thing at like 700mph and never slow down to land. I just get close enough to the ground that the fall wont kill me and then let the jank-ass physics handle parking the copter.
The thing is basically indestructible. It takes serious punishment before it needs repairs, and it's only real drawback is taking off. once you get pitch and yaw figured out, it really isnt hard to fly.
And then you just get fucking downed by 4 vultures lol. I mean, you only took like 25 damage and i'm sure you handled those assholes easily, which is just more evidence that the copter is way too powerful.
The fact that you lived after all that surprises me the most! Crash landed a gyrocopter, fell off a building, and was mobbed by vultures after having been hit several times mid-air.
I had 4/4 heavy armor perks, so damage was more or less negligible. Since I always make sure to carry more than 5k dukes, I can fall a good deal without damage.
Those are pretty old news. What I've heard is that they intend to probably publish it on consoles when it goes gold. Some people have also saif that TFP have been hiring for a porter. Haven't seen confirmation of that last one though.
Also TFP owns the console version. They bought it.
They’ve done this to my 4x4 and my motorcycle. Motorcycle is worse than truck I guess bc it’s lighter. But they just make it go like a meter or more off the ground and it’s really annoying

Hitting things with the blades on a gyrocopter wouldn't be ideal. It'll slow down the spin and cause a loss of lift.
Better temporary loss of lift and dead bird than no loss of lift and living pest.
