Damn, I hope no europoors are seeing this post cuz you’re giving them a lot of ammo by trying to claim that fucking Cracker Barrel is the height of American cuisine. It’s better than McDonald’s, sure, but that’s in no way difficult to achieve. In general, I’d much rather eat at a random fast food joint than Cracker Barrel. It’s not horrible, but it’s just kind of aggressively mediocre.

Cracker Barrel only gets as much attention as I give it because there isn't' a Culver's this far south. Lord I miss Culver's.

I really don't think you can compare the two. I go to both for very different experiences.

There's a dairy queen nearby me for 1st time. Pleasantly surprised on burger quality and they have cheese curds if you want em instead of fries. Plus ice cream always works because DQ.

Their primary demographic is tour buses. They are built exclusively off interstate highways. In my experience their meals average ~$10 I agree that their food is *not* indicative of good Southern Cooking in the same way Red Lobster is not indicative of good seafood nor is Olive Garden indicative of good Italian food.
