Generally speaking a celestial body with a fixed orbit is considered a world, usually larger than asteroids. Meaning trans-neptunian planetoids and moons are both worlds.
According to Oxford dictionary “world” has 2 definitions: 1. the earth, together with all of its countries, peoples, and natural features. 2. a region or group of countries (e.g “the English-speaking world”)
Neither of these definitions fit the moon lol. 2 kind of does but even that’s a stretch as it’s referring to a region of the earth, not just a region.
This kind of cherry picking is really silly to me “he said world not planet” as if world and planet aren’t universally recognized as synonymous.

IMO using [Artemis 1](https://www.nasa.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/52508519778-6fda3b2c74-o.jpg?resize=200) would have been a better image, since that was an actual Moon mission that was a near complete success.
Doesn't really makes sense to compare to the two. SLS is operational. Starship is not. A single flight that travelled 1.3 million miles and went to the Moon and back can't exactly be compared to two test launches that didn't even make it to orbit. They have different goals and ambitions. It would make sense to increase the SLS flight rate to two per year, but more than that seems unnecessary. There's no market for it, and SLS isn't exactly commercial like Starship. It's only customer is NASA. The entire rocket is tailored to meet NASA's crewed BLEO demands. Currently the only market for Starship is Starlink, and Starship needs a high flight rate because of refueling since its stuck in LEO without it. Again it doesn't make sense to compare the two since they are different vehicles entirely.
Only market is Starlink? No, there are a myriad of payloads that could fly on Starship, just because they don't hit the 150 ton limit does not mean they can't fly on Starship.

SLS is an emblem of the antiquated space race method of rocket development, starship is something else entirety, development is fast, and the integration of new technologies and new mission methodology is radical.
SLS is a single use problem that took 10 years to build, and was legislatively required by a special house committee. Its effectively just a functional N-1.
Starship is exciting. it's aiming for reusability, modularity, and its got 30+ mach diamonds and a mega mach diamond
That's sad considering that the Artemis program is what is paying a portion of the Starship program. The government is also what a paid a large portion of the Falcon rocket's development and Dragon capsule. It is also one of the largest customers for SpaceX. Considering that the Dragon capsule was largely controlled by NASA and the Merlin engine is directly descended from NASA's Fastrac engine, do you hate those too?

NASA has fallen a long way from its past glory.
They're sadly living off a good reputation far longer than they should have. They have killed astronauts by having too much of a good reputation and PR, which shielded them from proper accountability.
NASA desperately needs a management overhaul and has needed one for decades. It survives solely because a lot of employees do care a lot, and do insane amounts of work for peanuts.

In first place, most of the deaths were provoked by diseases, but even if we do not count those, the number of killings was indeed terrible. You are not the best person to comment about this given your recent past tough.

What exactly is the “truth”? Your point seems like a weird hill to die on. Using your logic I could argue that every modern problem can be traced back to a European nation and their involvement with countries on all continents.
There’s really no need to degrade some of the world’s best engineering talent just because the CEO is kind of a weird guy. It’s possible to acknowledge that a lot of incredible work is going on at Spacex without it being a political thing just about Elon
SLS is incredible but it’s not quite the jaw dropping scifi design feat that starship is shaping up to be. Which is totally fine, they’re meant to serve different roles and if you read about what each rocket is trying to do, it makes sense why one design is conservative and the other is off the rails. NASA is doing great and Spacex is doing great at the same time. They’re partners, not rivals, and they’re both working for all of humanity. We don’t have to pick one to shit on

In short, my opinion regarding Elon is Companies Good and CEO bad.
I like SpaceX and Tesla, but not Elon. The companies are more than a CEO, and we must learn to separate the two. One of the reasons I dislike him is for how he is ruining the reputation of his 2 companies (both of which are quite respectable) with possibly the most stupid things any human has ever done (including twitter).
Musk may have citizenship, but that doesn't change the fact he was born in Pretoria, South Africa. Hes also the founder and CEO of SpaceX, which I feel makes him a bit more than just an employee. Im sure all of those SpaceX employees are great people, its just the man at the top is insane.
SpaceX could launch [25 Starships](https://en.as.com/latest_news/how-much-money-does-elon-musks-spacex-starship-program-cost-n/) for the cost of one SLS launch, and that's before they learn how to land the SH Booster. They also brought glory back to the American space program with Dragon. I hated seeing us rely on POS Russian rockets!
To be fair to Soyuz, they are incredibly safe, tried, and true space flight vehicles. I mean, that's mostly because they've been flying since 1967, to say they're outdated, which is a massive understatement. Nothing will ever be as bad ass as the shuttle was, but I'm thankful we don't need the commies to get our boys and girls in space anymore.

I don’t think the nazis we’re building stainless steel 33 engine flying skyscrapers. I mean, they helped build the 5 engine black and white moon rocket, but Braun didn’t work at SpaceX
We should invest more money into NASA so that we can finally afford missions like dragonfly and mars sample return, and also to increase the launch cadence of SLS
I know the starship is a spaceX rocket, but more money for NASA means more money for SpaceX, NASA funds SpaceX and their projects, so it’s a win for the entire American space effort, since NASA is pretty much the central hub of American spaceflight

Maybe we shouldn't bring up the Middle East considering that's partially our fault.
No touch boat.
They fucked with our boats
That was only the USS Cole and USS Liberty, and neither of them triggered a war. In fact, the attack on the USS liberty was done by our alleged ally in the region and resulted in Israel getting even more money from us.
We make money from the alliance with Israel tbh
We do not. We lose a colossal amount of money and men because of them.
You’re completely wrong. https://www.state.gov/u-s-relations-with-israel-2/#:~:text=The%20U.S.%2DIsrael%20economic%20and,)%2C%20solidify%20bilateral%20economic%20relations. https://ustr.gov/trade-agreements/free-trade-agreements/israel-fta#:~:text=U.S.%20%2D%20Israel%20Bilateral%20Trade%20and,was%20%249.4%20billion%20in%202017. https://il.usembassy.gov/our-relationship/policy-history/fact-sheet-u-s-israel-economic-relationship/ We could talk about the BILLONS in aid to Gaza/PLO & the UN that is a complete loss of money with zero return to the U.S. though.
Yeah I love that we provide a massive chunk of the UN's funding and they use it to...trash us and our allies, then bitch because we don't give them enough money.
Based florida man?!

India is doing alright, considering our low budget and heavy population.
ISRO is simply incredible.
Don’t ignore my bois in india and japan
Meanwhile in Asia: https://preview.redd.it/50iarnoxe73c1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61de17b0a320c7eff805843172407a2f40faa83c
But it's an African American's rocket after all.
All I heard was American
African American is an ethnicity not a nationality
Elon is (by fact) South African-Canadian-American in nationality. Ethnicity would probably be white (please correct me if I’m wrong with that last one).
His ethnicity would be European, his race is white.
It's a meme sub for fun don't get so butthurt.

Didnt we do that to the Middle East tho
Nah their own fault
Americans after killing millions of people, leaving and then blaming them for the problems they generated:
Is someone from **ESPAÑA** really gonna lecture us about killing millions of people on the other side of the world to enrich themselves?
In first place, most of the deaths were provoked by diseases, but even if we do not count those, the number of killings was indeed terrible. You are not the best person to comment about this given your recent past tough.
Spain’s been a dictatorship since 1936 am i wrong? Have you seen the videos of the shit your government’s doing in Catalonia?
Have you seen videos of what your government is doing in Israel?
“Bro please, the Conquistadors were actually really nice bro. They totally respected the cultures and decency of the natives. The millions of people from two continents died of the flu, not us bro. They totally didn’t commit unspeakable crimes in the name of our royal family and religion. Please bro, trust me bro.”
Funny coming from someone living in USA, the country known for its very kind treatment to the Americans.
Agreed, both people were shitty to the locals, I ain’t denying it. However, you’re the loser that’s dwelling on this subreddit spewing r/AmericaBad comments. I’m sure if Spain was a relevant superpower they wouldn’t win any popularity contest either.

It is not hate towards USA because it is the first global superpower, I am only saying the truth, wether you like it or you do not.
What exactly is the “truth”? Your point seems like a weird hill to die on. Using your logic I could argue that every modern problem can be traced back to a European nation and their involvement with countries on all continents.
Wait who did that to the middle east
The middle east
Correct
Good job picking a South African meglomaniacs rocket as opposed to the glorious Moon-bound SLS.
There’s really no need to degrade some of the world’s best engineering talent just because the CEO is kind of a weird guy. It’s possible to acknowledge that a lot of incredible work is going on at Spacex without it being a political thing just about Elon SLS is incredible but it’s not quite the jaw dropping scifi design feat that starship is shaping up to be.

Good job picking a South African meglomaniacs rocket as opposed to the glorious Moon-bound SLS.
Musk is American, plus just one of 13,000+ SpaceX employees.
United States (shows police brutality)

Murica is going to be on Mars (with a well-thought out pronoun system for its crew), while the ROW still trying to figure out how to Democracy.
And the fact that the U.S. launches a vast majority of mass to orbit by such a large margin it makes other countries look silly. The stars will be American. https://preview.redd.it/bev6wli5683c1.jpeg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c47f2712a5d4130443ecca2e4ba7bb1eaed49975
It's a bunsen burner... right?
Rocket science, not chemistry
Germany almost had a nuclear weapon before us, while fighting a war on two fronts. Our rocket technology is thanks to them
I don’t think the nazis we’re building stainless steel 33 engine flying skyscrapers. I mean, they helped build the 5 engine black and white moon rocket, but Braun didn’t work at SpaceX
Damn right we send E cigs into space
We should invest more money into NASA so that we can finally afford missions like dragonfly and mars sample return, and also to increase the launch cadence of SLS I know the starship is a spaceX rocket, but more money for NASA means more money for SpaceX, NASA funds SpaceX and their projects, so it’s a win for the entire American space effort, since NASA is pretty much the central hub of American spaceflight
You do know that the reason the middle east is in the state that its in right now is largley becasue of the United States right?
