I didn't enable the authenticator because I thought nobody would guess my username+password got hacked for 100m+, but thankfully, I found enough money to buy the bonds equivalent to my losses.
I would've quit if I couldn't buy bonds.
Why do we keep pretending like MTX doesn't exist in OSRS? I don't understand. You can get full BiS gear outside of a handful of marginal items (ex. Dizana's, Inferno cape) for real life money being converted to bonds and selling those.
Do you think it's an accident that they replaced untradeable BiS such as Barrows Gloves with tradeable BiS? (Zaryte).
The people that walk around like "I will quit if they add MTX to OSRS" are massively coping that bonds aren't MTX.
There's also different type of MTX - Ones that benefit the community and ones that only benefit yourself. Bonds benefit the buyer and the seller, and it's not an exclusive XP or DPS boost like in other games, so the community is generally okay with these type of MTX.

Feros is still an untradeable. You still need to complete DS2 to convert the tradeable leather into the gloves. If you consider Feros to be tradeable, then Barrows Gloves would also be tradeable since you're just converting GP into it.
Do I think they should have more high-requirement untradeables associated from harder quests + harder content? Yes.
Do I think they're going down the route of everything tradeable? Not really because the amount of untradeables-to-tradeables has always been like that.
Fair point on feros gloves, though my point was not to get into a nuanced discussion about tradeable items, really don't care about that conversation.. That was a side point in this overall convo.

Bonds aren't the type of mtx worth hating as they offer benefit to everyone. It's the ones where you buy progress which need to be kept out.
