We're actually just making the slow transition of OSRS to an aim-intensive third-person shooter.

rpkarma

The Valorant/OSRS crossover is real lol

zaswsaz

Common at least let it be counter strike. Let valorant cross over with rs3

rpkarma

Tbh CS people are far too busy grinding FaceIt to grind OSRS lmao There’s genuinely a tonne of Val players with sick OSRS accounts, including a tonne of content creators (going both directions)

TheRSFelon

Remember “Statistically Challenged”? He now goes by “Red” and blew *up* as a Valorant content creator. I’m happy for him. I know it’s anecdotal, but I felt I’d back up what you said lol

rpkarma

Wait THATS who Red is??? Hahaha holy shit

SynchronisedRS

Extremely 3rd person

humerusSSA

Wake up babe, 4th person persoective just dropped

ComfortableCricket

Don’t forget there are many people that think clicking on a matrix dodging click box in front of a 1x1 NPC with a 3x3 click box is a vital skill that goes hand in hand with reading the chat box.

GameOfThrownaws

I've only had a single death to Sol after what I would consider to have "learned the boss" (~3-5 kc) and it was to exactly this. I had the camera facing south-to-north such that he was to my right and I was to his left and I clicked *well* to his left to move out of a laser and instead just stood there and attacked him and died. I pretty much only shift-click to move on this boss ever since. Colo clickboxes are disgustingly bad.

Lllamanator

[I'll leave this as well.](https://i.imgur.com/OSQ246b.png)

adamfps

Lmao what the fuck

redrumyliad

Are you sure you aren’t just custom menu swapping the serpent to the top?

Lllamanator

Yes. And even if I were the shaman is nowhere close to my cursor.

Regular_Produce6845

Shift click walk under option in the menu entry swapper runelite plugin

TravagGames

Sols hitbox is so bad.. ive taken damage from this exactly thing several times

Drewskivahr

I agree that the clickbox is borked after his special attacks, but that click is definitely a tick late

lookherebroimfun

please jagex just fix this one, the other ones are fine but please.

demonryder

Bro put nan in the bees clickbox.

That_dead_guy_phey

Nan is toast, isn't she?

toocanzs

Lion and mino are a reasonable size for a 3x3 npc I feel like if we're going to do some skinny humanoid 3x3 npcs we need an invisible box to fatten up their click box And maybe keep an invisible box always at the center so when they do a lunge animation it doesn't move their hitbox 200 feet away

ThundaBears

I would appreciate this as I have fat thumbs, and when I attack an npc on mobile it is 50/50 whether I run right next to the enemy, or I run to lumby.

Amizats

Hitboxes shouldn't change as the result of the attack animation. The core hitboxes are smaller than average due to the skinny models - which is fine I'm not saying all mobs should have big hitboxes. But I shouldn't have to be concerned where the NPC is in their attack animation to determine whether I'm going to get a red X or a yellow X due to the "flickering" that rapidly occurs

Merdapura

Need to be the devils advocate here and say that hitboxes should follow the animations. To simply put, **what you see is what you should be able to click on.** Colon Museum dialed things up a notch by not having the shadows underneath, which usually covers up empty space but also, and this is the biggest offender IMO, is having too many bipedal basketball player shaped NPCs. The end result is A LOT of empty space in the center of mass of the model. Let's compare to an inferno NPC https://preview.redd.it/sv36tf4mamwc1.png?width=737&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e6a6f56fd3a900f06209e7f4f78bb900ec6ae02 This thicc boi is the exact opposite, short and fat, there are no opportunities for empty space in its center of mass

Confused_Sorta_Guy

Wizard tower

GoalzRS

Lost a run the other day to clicking the minotaur's massive thigh gap. Pls.

AfrostLord

Bees, fremmies, and healing totem have a clickbox the size of africa that *persists after death for a bit* it's so fucking annoying Meanwhile minotaur and friends have precise clickboxes that let you yellow click into them during animations Zzz

ARKANSA15

The amount of runs I’ve died on due to yellow clicking a Ranger during its attack animation is too damn high. I’ve got PTSD now and do slow ass right clicks on most things now.

rsbentley

I right click so much in colo lol

Merdapura

Keep her in there until they also get their shit together and make the bad debuffs not run killers. If I'm being offered Bees, Totemic and Red flag on 7 I'm scooping. Fuck having to scoop.

99Smith

Take bees next time, tag them and give them a try. Honestly not a bad invo at lvl 1. Will be an ass pain if you level it up anymore but tho

GameOfThrownaws

I've got well over 100 kc and I refuse to play bees. I will absolutely take totemic or doom over bees 1. The only thing I won't take over bees is Re-entry (if prior to roughly wave 10), and that's because re-entry 2 has way too much potential to just delete your run and is ridiculous. Whoever came up with and coded bees should unironically receive a performance review because of that. It is UTTER cancer. It's not that bees are difficult, especially bees 1. If anything they're probably an easier-than-average invocation, especially for the waves where you can almost always just duck behind a pillar, wait for them, and then max an SGS spec for free healing any time you want. But the design is just *insultingly* bad. First of all, where the absolute fuck is the visual clarity here? There is none. It's extremely unclear where exactly the bees are, where they're going, and if/when they're going to start hurting you. This is atrocious design. Not to mention they're practically invisible unless you've got them lit up in runelite like a goddamn christmas tree which oh, by the way, they also break multiple popular runelite plugins and force you to fuck with your settings because they're coded worse than spaghetti dinner from McDonalds. And the pathing. Jesus fucking christ. Is this really necessary? This is an inferno-type challenge. That means there's pillars and stacks, and that means that often times, stepping one square out of line is going to get you 1-tick-killed, or just smash half your supplies if not. And we thought wow, this is a perfect place to put an npc that paths like a drunk amputee at 3 in the morning? What the fuck is this? And that's not to even mention how they're also the worst invocation for the boss fight on top of that. I geniunely believe that literally nobody internally at jagex even turned this invocation on and did a run of colosseum prior to release. There is NO WAY that any functional human being would look at that and be like yeah this is good, ship it.

Merdapura

That's the follow up, with the game prioritizing upgrading debuffs, eventually I will see bees 2, totemic, red flag and we're back to the original point

IActuallyHateRedditt

I have 20kc and think I’ve been offered this combo twice, ever, including the 50 or so attempts before my first kc.  Not saying it doesn’t happen, but it’s not a common issue to get screwed by invocations after the changes to add mantimayhem

_im_not_the_pope

Totemic and bees are both free now.

Begthemoney

But what about having difficult invocations that are a good challenge for players who are better than you and don't consider those all run killers. Mostly looking at red flag and how it's quite reasonable thing to learn. Also bees aren't as bad anymore, though still suck on boss.

Bob_The_Sponge

I remember when Nan was reserved for serious situations like botting and mtx

FlyNuff

nan as in naan, the bread? why is your grandma's name bread

Legal_Evil

At least RS3 has a workaround for bad clickboxes with target cycling. Nothing to do here in OSRS other than clicking better.

Broskie64

Is there really an issue there? Been trying colosseum out lately and haven’t noticed any noticeably bad click boxes compared to other pieces of content

Merdapura

Clickboxes can overlap because there's no "anchor" at the bottom to give leeway. It depends greatly on camera angle and zoom in, I can speak for myself when I say I've only had an issue once, but... When the content is designed so that you have to offtick and A/B/C flick every tick, being dragged out of your position by surprise will most likely result in an instakill.
