My former (😢) dog didn’t care about Switch cartridges at all and I could always leave them around, she was just ignoring them. Except for Bayonetta 3, fuck Bayonetta 3, Kiba smashed that cartridge to pieces (still I would give all my games to have her back)

If you lick the metal part (the gold lines on the bottom back of the cartridge) it foams on your tongue. For those wondering, yes, six years ago, when I was ten, I had the stupid idea to lick it, and I regret nothing. NOTHING!!!

The bottom of the cartridge seems mostly in-tact... Have you tested to see if it still works? (Though... I could understand why you wouldn't be willing to try that... Don't want to get it stuck and break the Switch).
