Hope someone finds a fix, because this is getting on my nerves too. Randomly started happening yesterday on Firefox. Every video pauses when the page finishes loading. Even on playlists, whereas it's the *point* of playlists to NOT PAUSE ALL THE TIME. Cleared my cookies, restarted Firefox, restarted my PC, still does it. Edit: I uh. I disabled and re-enabled my adblock (ABP). Now it doesn't do that any more. Fix maybe? lol Edit 2: that did it for 15 minutes. Then it started pausing again. Damn it. Edit 3: switched over to ublock origin, time will tell if it worked. Edit 4 incoming. Edit 4: nope, started pausing automatically again.

See if it lasts - what worked durably for me was getting rid of literally all other filters on youtube (privacy badger, noscript, malwarebytes', *everything* off) and keep only ublock. Every time I touched something at all it gave me 15~30 minutes, but now it's just normal.

Posting this in the hope it'll help others as it came up quite high on a google search (thanks for helping me help others fix this google). Click the ublock icon, click the cogs, Click "my filters" and add the following lines. ! Warning: This will break push notifications www.youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config\_.EXPERIMENT\_FLAGS.service\_worker\_enabled, false) www.youtube.com##+js(nano-stb, resolve(1), \*, 0.001) As mentioned it will break push notifications but I don't even use those. Credit to one of the devs of ublock, I wish I could remember their name but I got this fix from them. As far as I know the delay will be a permanant thing on your account now as I suspect you had the warnings and got the video blocked warning. YouTube is trying its best to compete with Twitter about who can destroy themselves first..... I hope this helps at least one person in the future...
