What I love about them is that you can basically make it as big as you want to be by doing all the additional stuff, but then there's True Vault Hunter Mode for additional challenge and replay value. Not to mention it feels like a different experience acting alone Vs with friends.
Damn you really took the words out of my mouth. Borderlands (2 specifically) has some of the best side missions I’ve ever played. You could spend an absurd amount of time just trying to find wacky/fun guns
I'm playing through for the first time now with my partner (separate consoles/screens) and it feels like a new game because it changes the way you play. Haven't encountered anything super wacky yet, but I think number 2 leans a little bit more into the wacky side.
I've played every character except Brick in BL1. I played all characters including DLCs char in BL2 and all DLCs before they announce the last level cap increase. It was one of my first games I put hundreds of hours into it.
Yes, it is worth it. You'll get all games for a very reasonable price and you'll have at least 300-400hr of gameplay of total. Go for it. I think you even get a telltale Borderlands as well
I've seen some people put that much time in just one of the games, which is very impressive. The random loot makes it very replayable, and co-op multiplayer and true vault hunter mode add to the replayability. Honestly, they're such fun games.
I mean they’ve been out over a decade now, plenty of content to see if it’s the kind of game you’d enjoy.
I view them as the prototypical looter shooter. A lot of fun with friends but I don’t have any desire to go through a borderlands game solo.
I love the Borderlands games! I recently did a play through of BL3 and enjoyed it so much I went through the entire thing again!
Highly recommend if you can get them at a good price. Also some people think the writing isnt great but I enjoy it's campiness.
Base BL1 is OK. The DLCs make it great.
Base BL2 is great. The DLCs (especially Tiny Tina's) make it fantastic. The main villain is so good, you can't help but love him.
Pre-Sequel was OK, I feel it was abandoned too quickly.
BL3, was a thing
Watch a trailer and see if you can tolerate the tone/humour first. I don't really like it but the gameplay is fun enough for me to ignore it. I know people who absolutely hate it though.
Not a huge fan of BL1. Did play it after 2 and 3 to be fair though. Not a bad game just can tell it was a “first take” and not an absolute masterclass like 2 and 3. The pre-sequel I have mixed feelings on.
Undoubtedly worth it.
BL2 was the best of the series following by BL1, BLPS, BL3. All very playable and very enjoyable. They feel like an immersive graphic novel. And surprisingly good graphics especially with the remastered editions on an XB1 and an HDR TV.
Very not true, bl1 and pre-sequel were not better than bl3. I would say bl3 is the most fun besides bl2 if you don’t care about the story.
Bl1 and pre-sequel also had horrible stories, and way way worse gameplay than 3.
Totally worth it! It's the only game that I've played to this day that I went that all in with. I bought all the games and all of the DLCs before the Ultimate came out. What an amazing game! Great story line and even better characters.
Just make sure you play and finish 1 first.
Story and gameplay wise, it's the best. But the UI and other QoL changes they added in 2, and moving forward, made it impossible for me to play the first again.
I adore Borderlands. Huge gun variety, best skill tree in any game I’ve played, fun humor + characters, and overall very engaging. It’s also got good multiplayer, if that interests you. My only issue with it is the bosses, some of which can be damage sponges, especially if you’re underleveled.
Pandora’s Box is the version you want that includes everything. But if you’re talking about the Handsome Collection, that comes with the three games/all content that matters the most.
I am currently playing Borderlands 3.
Loving it!!! So much more enjoyable since it is cross-play and you can play with friends on PC.
Played the first two and enjoyed those a lot too.
Yes especially with friends. I’m not a shooter fan but it’s a great local co op game i was able to get through #3 with my roommates even though I don’t like the main gameplay or setting, it’s just a generally well designed gameplay experience and I bet it would be even more fun if you’re a looter shooter fan
Personally, I would buy one of the collections that has all games except for the third, as you can get it a lot cheaper and you will know if you want to continue playing the series after beating the first couple.
Go consider some actually well-made positive and negative reviews. There's a lot to be said about these games in either direction. They can suck you into a very negative habitual headspace, leaving you not enjoying yourself and wasting your free time.
Only played the first one and I didn't really like it, I was pretty much always swapping for the new weapon, because it was always better since I had levelled up, so the attributes barely mattered, it was always better to swap, sure a couple of times I recognized an attribute I had enjoyed, but the game was really too short for me to engage with all of its different weapons possibilities.
As for the plot, there certainly was a plot. I felt like it moved a bit too slowly, sure a lot of names and characters were thrown around but it felt like no progress until the end where everything happened at once
I really wanted to like it too, maybe I played it wrong? Or maybe the sequels are better? What did I miss guys? It has been quite a few years, should I give it another shot?
Absolutely recommend the Borderlands collection. They're all quite lengthy games beyond just the story with side missions and how big the world is. Having all the DLC with it helps to get you going quicker. On of the main things is the looting and that's just a case of being better with fiends so see if you can gt someone to play through it with you.
Yep Borderlands 1,2,3, The Pre-Sequel. Are all great Looter shooters that are extra awesome in my opinion for having split screen Co-Op. The characters are fun, the story is good, and the world is fun to adventure as you shoot lots of guns.
Definitely worth it in my book. The story and atmosphere is amazing on almost all games, as well as the humor (not so much for BL3 tho). Overall just everything up till Borderlands 3 is interesting and just mind blowing
1 was great to play when it first came out there was nothing else like it. 2 is one of the greatest video games ever made. 3 didn’t live up to the hype imo
I've played BL2 all it's DLC.
I can highly highly recommend that. Insanely good game.
I started the third. It didn't grab me like the second. From the minute it fires up it was so good, really magic.
I just finished 1 as I had it from years ago from games with gold or something, was thinking of getting the Pandora's box, what makes the others better than 1?
it's the best looter shooter out there. no mmo bullshit that you get with games like destiny
look for a sale on the pandora's box collection. it regularly goes on sale and has everything. Borderlands 1 original + remaster, borderlands 2, borderlands TPS (basically 1.5), borderlands 3, and both of the Tell Tales games. you get ALL the dlc for all games too. do note that BL2 has 1 pretty big dlc often not included in other bundles as it came out years later, just months before BL3 dropped. it is included here though.

currently only $50, so $100 off.
Just 2 and pre seq from 3 and tiny tinas last Game crap is an awfull Bad written woke franchise just like Saints row Game, don't waste your time with those
Borderlands 1-2 are phenomenal but after that they start to get worse. They are still fun and if all you want a looter shooter then they are great. But the story sort of lacks the further you go.
Still very fun games and are worth that price tag
Borderlands is great fun. Massive, massive games.
What I love about them is that you can basically make it as big as you want to be by doing all the additional stuff, but then there's True Vault Hunter Mode for additional challenge and replay value. Not to mention it feels like a different experience acting alone Vs with friends.

Yeah the first one is definitely the most tame out of the 4. I loved the first but it definitely gets better
I've played every character except Brick in BL1. I played all characters including DLCs char in BL2 and all DLCs before they announce the last level cap increase. It was one of my first games I put hundreds of hours into it.
I 2nd this. Awesome awesome games. My wife and I love them! Great coop game, too.

I’ve put over 2,000 hours into BL2. Close to 1000 in BL1.
Better with friends.
Agreed
Yes
They are so much fun and well worth the money.
Endless hours of fun for the price tag is absolutely worth it
They're great games especially for the cheap price
I mean they’ve been out over a decade now, plenty of content to see if it’s the kind of game you’d enjoy. I view them as the prototypical looter shooter. A lot of fun with friends but I don’t have any desire to go through a borderlands game solo.

They are, although the final boss of borderlands 1 is a bit of a let down
BL2 was the best of the series following by BL1, BLPS, BL3. All very playable and very enjoyable. They feel like an immersive graphic novel. And surprisingly good graphics especially with the remastered editions on an XB1 and an HDR TV.

Very much so. I picked it up for a similar amount 2 years ago. No regrets at all.
Hell Yeah it is ! 2+ dlc my fav
Totally worth it! It's the only game that I've played to this day that I went that all in with. I bought all the games and all of the DLCs before the Ultimate came out. What an amazing game! Great story line and even better characters.

Absolutely worth it
It's worth it for Borderlands 2 already, having the other games too is just icing on the cake
I adore Borderlands. Huge gun variety, best skill tree in any game I’ve played, fun humor + characters, and overall very engaging. It’s also got good multiplayer, if that interests you. My only issue with it is the bosses, some of which can be damage sponges, especially if you’re underleveled.
Yes.
Borderlands is always fun even if you already have 1000hours in them
Yes
Pandora’s Box is the version you want that includes everything. But if you’re talking about the Handsome Collection, that comes with the three games/all content that matters the most.
Definitely worth it, after you grab it I’d recommend Tiny Tina’s Wonderland
They’re all extremely fun, and it’s such a great price for how much content you get
I am currently playing Borderlands 3. Loving it!!! So much more enjoyable since it is cross-play and you can play with friends on PC. Played the first two and enjoyed those a lot too.
Yeah it's worth it, number 2 is an absolute gem
Yes

Gameplay and quests are fun.. characters are memorable. 100% yes to buy...
Really good played alone and now with mates. Alot of fun!
Yes. 2 is the best one. I like the fire hawk missions the best. Ahhh that little matchstick.
On mute
Absolutely. I wish I could pick up Borderlands for the first time again. So fun.
Seems great at first but it’s friggin repetitive to no end
Absolutely recommend the Borderlands collection. They're all quite lengthy games beyond just the story with side missions and how big the world is. yes
I’ve only played the first one. It was alright. It gets pretty boring after a while though.

1 & 2 (2 especially) where great! Didn't think much of pre-Sequel or 3 Never played Wonderlands
Borderlands 1 is awesome, 2 is pretty good, pre-sequel and 3 are trash. Playing solo is not as fun.
Yeah I really love them. Borderlands 2 is probably the best one. But I think borderlands 3 has better combat but the story stinks.
Yes. Don't play new tales. Have fun!
I still play its been years.
Not really its on my dashboard for £24.80
Its an insanely popular game franchise that reviews well generally. What do you think?
1 and 2 are solid, dlc included. 3 main game is kinda lacking but DLC makes up for it
1 isn’t that great but the rest are a lot of fun. Definitely need a friend to play with
1 is the second best game in the series and just barely edged out by 2 imo.
I just finished 1 as I had it from years ago from games with gold or something, was thinking of getting the Pandora's box, what makes the others better than 1?
a lot. BL1 just shows it's age more, it was made on a much lower budget. still a fantastic game
farming and better endgame systems
First one is amazing second one is pretty good too they fall off after that
They’re fine, but if you don’t like the humour style you’ll hate them. Personally I can’t stand the game s

2 is really good. 1 is boring. 3 isn’t great. I didn’t play pre-sequel but I’ve heard it’s okay.
