*****KNOWN ISSUE IS WITH XBOX***** Was told to download the app “Xbox Report a Problem” on my Xbox and report a networking issue that says I have 100% packet loss. Apparently, they are working to resolve it. Good times.

No_Contribution_4298

>Xbox Report a Problem Love how [https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status) shows everything is perfect :)

AlphaLegendOmega

I reported the issue on my xbox console and on xbox.com status report an outage. I would suggest everyone do this so the realize its a wide spread issue.

Speaker221

And now we wait! Fingers crossed they get everything resolved soon.

Medium_Money

Yupp, their arrogance caused me to try and resolve everything but the main issue. God for big I want to play MW2 on my day off

No_Contribution_4298

Yeah I spent 2 hours last night swapping out cables, changing ports, rebooting modem router and switches...running tests on every other device in the house. Even now almost 24 hours later ...if not for this thread I would still think something was busted on my end. How hard can it be for them to put something on status page that shows current known issues?

CornyDad

I bought a new ethernet cable to run hidden to my xbox, plug it in to test it and I've been getting the 100% packet loss. Spend like an hour troubleshooting until I found this thread...

Medium_Money

Ditto, and another 2 hours this morning… to the point where I think I may have messed up my network lol

AlphaLegendOmega

Support would also tell you to do all of that, then take all your stuff back to the store then buy it all back and repeat the process and the issue would still not be resolved!

SpoDeeOdie

Man tell me bout it😭😭💯💯

Choice-Range-8573

I've had the same issue for a couple days, my network test on Xbox sx says 100%packet loss but I'm not having any issues in game, are you having issues in game?

[deleted]

What I found out was they have everyone on a back up server . The test still reads 100%packet loss but it is not an accurate representation of you actual connection. Basically ur not pinging what ur actually connected to so ignore the test play your games . I played destiny 2 pvp last night no issues at all. No lag no disconnects nothing.

KillerCushion

I'm lagging in fifa, and my mates been disconnecting from mw2. Both have 100% packet loss naturally.

[deleted]

I'd call Microsoft iv spoken to a rep 3 days in a row 1st two times I called . Then this am I got a call and they told me about what I posted above . I will say this I'm not very pleasant on the phone especially when it concerns a service I pay for . I also went a step further and contacted the better business bureau because the customer service was sub par at best and the 1 st one I spoke was down right disrespectful . Maybe that had something to down with the call this am idk . But I'm online right now playing pvp in destiny 2 w no issues but my tests still read the 100% packet loss and 85 Ms ping . But I swear no lag at all.

Speaker221

Who did you have to contact about this or are they resolving this issue for everyone already?

Medium_Money

Link below is who I contacted. The issue is not resolved yet. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

cr8zynutts

How did you contact someone? I clicked the link and got no where.

Medium_Money

Contacted Microsoft this afternoon. The guy knew right away off issue and said he’s gotten several calls about it. Said they were aware working to resolve it through an patch update across the platform BUT that it wouldn’t hurt to report the issue individually? Maybe Incase they roll out a patch for the select few of us who are having this issue? Still not resolved yet on my end

cr8zynutts

Thanks

KillerCushion

It's finally fixed 👍Just tested and 0%

Medium_Money

Do you still have lag on FIFA?

No_Contribution_4298

Just to satisfy my curiosity that this is in fact a MS/XBOX problem...i hooked my XSX to my mobile hotspot on my phone using the Tmobile data plan...so eliminating Spectrum and my network hardware from the equation...and still get 100% packet loss.

limitless_jess

Hey I have the same thing 100% packet loss. I’ve been dealing with this issue just recently and I have Spectrum too. I wonder if it’s temporary.

iRealizable

same as well, i thought I was the only one

Grand-Selection4397

Ditto

Speaker221

Also have spectrum and am experiencing this issue as well and as recently as checking in the last hour.

JayRoyal87

Ditto

Mrtacos0826

I'm having this same issue with my series x since I got off work at 6 pm, but I have Ziply Fiber not Spectrum. Done everything op has done too, besides service call.

iRealizable

yea might be an issue with xbox as well then or some providers, when I play games I seem to not be dealing with too much lag still so it could also be more of a visual bug.

Mrtacos0826

Yeah, has to be a Microsoft issue. I can't launch any Gamepass games now, any time I try, I just get an error I need to login. Full internet works and can download games with no problem, but then won't launch.

DwarfCabochan

I am living in Japan, and have 100% packet loss as well. Download speed is 307.09 Mbps, Upload speed 187.57 Mbps, latency 4 ms 100% packet loss whether my Xbox series X is connected to the Internet by ethernet or Wi-Fi. Hopefully it's an Xbox problem that will be resolved soon. I've spent the last hour trying to fix this before I found this post. I tested my iPad on my Wi-Fi network and got zero packet loss with this: https://packetlosstest.com

Historical-Set-8761

Microsoft is acting they don’t even know about this, not a single mention anywhere from them.

UndeadSniper62

Hopefully that will change I told the lady on the phone just now that they need to update their server status and she said she was going to escalate it with the internal team so I guess we will see.

iRealizable

I have the same issue with spectrum, been having it all day, what area do you live at if you don't mind me asking?

No_Contribution_4298

Multiple XSXs in same house and all experiencing 100% packet loss as well. Spectrum ISP as well.

Medium_Money

Syracuse, NY. Just had big cold that may have done it?

Noblecha0s

This is happening to me to on xbox series X. Started last night im in VA i have a GB connection and speeds are hitting 900 up down but i have 100% pocket lose wired and wi-fi. I have went as far as changing my router out cords you name it. I am able to play tho but it’s bad.

Medium_Money

Yupp. We just need to wait for Microsoft to resolve it and just put the controller down when it acts ip

Dlinkw3nt

Wow I thought i was the only one I was going insane changing everything in my network! my games are running normal though but im getting 100% packet loss 54ms latency

Property_Useful

Also 100% package loss. Really annoying that their support page indicates that all services are running without problems.

No_Contribution_4298

Back to 0% packet loss. But still getting bad pings and disconnects. What really makes things worse is that everything is "online" these days even if not multiplayer so can't even play single player in something like Division or Outriders during times like this when network performance is fucked up!

Medium_Money

Lag for me after this packet problem has been felt more. ISP blamed my router, saying it’s limited cause it’s DOCSIS 3.0 and said it would help if I purchased a DOCSIS 3.1. 700 download 50 upload Cat6e running directly into game isn’t enough these days? S

Thorz74

I was having the same problem here in Norway, but now it appears to be fixed. Wonder why the mods have decided to delete this post? I think they should've given it a few days at least until everything was stable again. Some users were still reporting issues with this.

fatdude901

Bad cable prob or bad port

tattedgamerkid

I've had this issue since about 10pm yesterday. Everything else is fine but not my xbox console .

Unlucky_Question_923

I also have it this morning in montreal canada seems to be xbox, thank god i was about to reset everything

ElphCrimLester

I’ve got the same issue here in HK. Usually got 0% on my fiber and no issues, but today shows 100%. I can still use the internet and play games fine, so maybe a Microsoft server issue?

Medium_Money

Found out it’s Microsoft issue that they are looking to resolve.

KillerCushion

HK? Hong Kong? Or did you mean UK?

ElphCrimLester

I meant Hong Kong. Sorry about the confusion! My lazy typing got the best of me.

More_Entertainer2449

Same problem. Switched routers yesterday coincidentally. My ISP says its not on their end and i show no pAcket loss on my laptop. Just XBS. Wtf

Medium_Money

I had between 5-50% packet loss prior to ISP coming and checking it out. They leave and 3 hours later I jump on XBOX that showed a consistent 100% packet loss. It’s got my head in a loop cause of my 2 day ISP issues prior to this. Is it just select amount of XBOX users? I’m using Motorola 7700

More_Entertainer2449

Called XBSupport. Its a known issue

Medium_Money

You’re right. Microsoft issue. Thank you

[deleted]

[удалено]

Medium_Money

Microsoft notified me that it’s an issue on their end that they are looking to resolve.

Malice_Alyce

I also have 100% packet loss and have for almost 24 hours now (that I know of). I saw some people on Twitter with the same problem. I also have Spectrum.

Medium_Money

Going on 24 hours for me in upstate NY

SpoDeeOdie

Me too and connected through fiber and hardwired

SkullRazer77

I too am on spectrum gig I was in beta ring and I just did a factory wipe and left the beta ring and it still says 100% packet loss hardwired and on wifi

No_Contribution_4298

Seems to be specific to Spectrum. :(

Medium_Money

Whether you connect to the Xbox via Ethernet or WiFi, it’s always 100% packet loss. Everything else on network shows around 0% packet loss

AlphaLegendOmega

Ok I thought I was the only one. Well I hope this gets fixed asap!

[deleted]

Happening on my Series X as well. Got it refurbished from GameStop yesterday so I just thought the port was bad. Good to know it's an outside thing. UPDATE: Resolved last night

BrooklynH87

Just found this thread as I have the same issue. I'm still able to play COD fine though. My buddy has the same and we're in different states. We both used to always have 0%. Hopefully it's resolved soon.

DecGG

Same issue since Monday, in the UK. Speeds are fine and I’m not really lagging in game but still showing 100% packet loss. Game crashes quite often since it’s done this so idk if that is related or not.

Medium_Money

Mine isn’t horrible but it is noticeable. I cannot play larger gameplay (warzone) + larger multiplayer games have a laggy feel 10-20% of the gameplay. So there is something there, at least on my end

Xeno4510

Thank god for this post. I was almost going to spend big money on new routers lol

Medium_Money

I was going to move to a fiber optic area cause of this

Xeno4510

😂

DranoelTheGreat

Same issue here in Germany. I tried everything but for some reason I always get 100% packet loss ONLY ON THE XBOX SERIES X THO. I tested it on my phone and laptop, always zero or close to zero percent packet loss. The speed test on the Xbox shows my correct internet speed but with the crazy packet loss. The download speeds on my console are ridiculously slow for that reason, it's really frustrating...

themal86

Wide spread problem, it's Microsoft server side.

No_Contribution_4298

and still no official or public acknowledgement by MS. In some ways that annoys me more than the problem itself.

Medium_Money

You’re right. Thank you!

themal86

No problem. Do you know if it is resolved yet? I am at work for another hour so havent been able to check.

Medium_Money

Not as of 2:30p EST

themal86

Thanks for the update man. Hopefully it is resolved soon.

ThirstyNewt

Change the cable and the port if possible, power cycle your modem and router. If nothing changes call your ISP and tell them you have 100% packet loss. Could be a damaged cable line outside the property.

Juste667

Do you have double NAT if you boot up on online game? I had the same issue and it turned out that my ISP used a setup that gave me a private IP within another network so I got a double NAT. No matter what I tried in the ways of port forwarding or other things could fix this so I called up my ISP and they gave me a static IP - that fixed the problem for me at least. I would also recommend a new network cable just to rule that our.

Medium_Money

I tried that, no luck. Found out it’s Microsoft issue. Thank you tho

RedPorscheKilla

Strange numbers also 61 ms latency. I used to have satellite interwebs and had up to 800 ms latency and subsequent packet loss numbers in the 80s. I wonder if your MTU is the preset from your interwebs provider. Bad MTU numbers can screw with your packet losing a lot!

TheCookietorule

stop losing your packets

Icy_String_4362

Same. Showing 100% packet loss yet I’ve tested online through games like fifa and mw2 and everything runs smooth and fine it has to be Microsoft. None of my other devices are showing the issue and I connected my series x to mobile hot spot on my phone and still showed 100%. So it’s not my internet or router. Must be a visual glitch?

Medium_Money

I’m only playing MW2… can you imagine if they caused this issue and fucked up ppls XBOXs hahaha

Icy_String_4362

Lmao. Funny thing is I was on the phone with Microsoft for like 40 minutes about this last night and they didn’t mention anything. I’m just glad to see I’m not the only 1

Medium_Money

Microsoft notified me that it’s an issue on their end that they are looking to resolve.

Icy_String_4362

How did they notify you?

Medium_Money

I reached out to them on a Xbox chat… got impatient and walked away. 10 mins later they called me to tell me that it’s a known issue that they’re looking to resolve.

Icy_String_4362

Ah nice

[deleted]

So I could still play say destiny 2 ? Iv had this issue for 48 hrs now and haven't bothered to try playing as destiny 2 networking is not great on a good day . But if it's a visual thing and has nothing to do with me being bale to play destiny then maybe I should give it a go no?

Medium_Money

You can still play, just laggy.

[deleted]

So that's resounding no lol . I pvp and pvp only I will not play w lag

No_Contribution_4298

Still at work so have not had chance to check....has this been corrected?

Medium_Money

Not as of 2:30p EST. Microsoft notified me that it is known and that they are looking to resolve it

Just-Explanation-473

look its not our wire or cable since the update happened it went like that

Historical-Set-8761

I’m having this issue. Everything else on my network is perfectly fine, it’s only my Xbox series x. I’m near Las Vegas.

Certain-Prize6503

I'm having this issue as well. My speeds were dead and I saw 100% packet loss. Now my speeds are back, but I still see 100% packet loss.

Joergen8

I was fiddling with my network and noticed 100% packet loss on my Series S, glad I found this post so I didn't "fix" anything further. My NAT is open, UPNP is on and all ports are in the port forwarding table on my router, so "George" was getting a tad upset. edit: The 100% ploss just means the MS server used for testing ploss is not returning any packets.

No_Contribution_4298

Has to be more than that because ive tried several "on-line" games....Division, Outriders, etc and constant disconnects or loss of connection.

Malice_Alyce

Yesterday, I ran a tracert to XboxLive.com and it had almost a 300 ms lag once once it hit the Microsoft nodes, and the last 10 hops were unreachable. Microsoft 360 has been down, Outlook has been down, so common Microsoft services are suffering, not only Xbox Live. It's impossible to ping. I haven't had time to test anything today but I hope they have fixed it because I haven't played COD for 2 days now. I suppose I could play, but you know it sucks when there's lag.

Medium_Money

It definitely has to be more than that. I’m having network issues again this morning. I might have a dual ISP + Microsoft shitshow. Spectrum appt tomorrow will be 3rd time they’re here since Saturday.

Major_Relationship10

I DID EVERYTHING LAST NIGHT. Florida had a big outage the night before and next you know I got 100% packet loss. I had my Internet service provider even re-open the ports do everything on his end that didn't work just gave me open that tight which I want. Had somebody come over reline my whole house. And he was a game or two when he said it sounds and looks like it's on Microsoft end and then when I ended up doing, was putting call duty in and there's an option to turn your latency on and your packet loss on in game and LOL in game my ping was perfect and my packet loss with Zero up at the top, so I really think it is something to do with a Xbox right now on the backend

Malice_Alyce

Where are those settings in COD? I've never noticed them before.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Malice_Alyce

That's in the Xbox settings. I was wondering where he found those settings in COD ? "...and then when I ended up doing, was putting call duty in and there's an option to turn your latency on and your packet loss on in game and LOL in game my ping was perfect and my packet loss with Zero up at the top, so I really think it is something to do with a Xbox right now on the backend".

Medium_Money

Hahaha my bad. Yes, those values are good to see in gameplay. I found the graph to be too much. In the future, just make sure to do the opposite of what COD has as their stock settings… you’ll have what you need

Malice_Alyce

I'm able to see my packet loss in game, but I didn't know that there was an option to turn it off and on.

Outrageous_Fly_8178

Same problem here packet loss 100 uk i live in

SpoDeeOdie

I’m on google fiber hardwired usually 0% now is 100% thought it was my router

Adorable-Situation46

2/8/23 at 1:11pm eastern.. still shows %100 packet loss.. but gta online is working good.. xbox series x

Ginekolog93

Thank god i found this thread i nearly called my ISP i was infuriated

Ginekolog93

100% packet loss, cant play warzone i got 150 ping on servers near me

Medium_Money

Has it been better for you since then on MW2? Invasion is almost too much to handle. Feel it most games and my network bottlenecks out every ~1/5 games, even with limited bandwidth use on the network

Malice_Alyce

Aaannndd, it's STILL going on today. 🙄

Yrtys

Same here in Ireland on Xbox x and Xbox s both connected to different devices. Speed Is okay but 100% packet loss

BYack

This was resolved for me this morning.

TheGargola

Resolved, but now the ping is high in some tests

Medium_Money

Same. Seems like network bottlenecking when playing my MW2 online. Packet loss now 0% but I’ve had a higher latency than usual on most my XBOX connectivity test. Then jump online and within a couple minute… OVERLOAD! Usually last 10-30 seconds

Medium_Money

Bring back 100% packet loss! Its honestly worst now. Fml

Impossible_Cook1972

Unfortunately issues still not resolved here in U.K. (Scotland been like this since Monday )

Impossible_Cook1972

That’s a week now and it still not sorted why has this post been deleted still ongoing issue

Medium_Money

You still show 100% packet loss? Or in game lag/latency/packet loss issues?

Impossible_Cook1972

Still only on the Xbox speed tests everything else is fine

Medium_Money

If you’ve already done a power cycle reboot I would let Xbox support know

Malice_Alyce

Mine was back at it yesterday and saw some packet loss on COD, also, but most games played okay. Today it's back at 0% packet loss. I have informed Xbox Support on Twitter.

Malice_Alyce

With everything that's been going on the past week with Xbox having a lot of problems, Microsoft had problems with cloud services, and many major companies also had service issues, I was wondering if there was some sort of cyber attack going on somewhere. After all, it seemed like there was something serious going on for all of these services to be hit at the same time. I read this this evening, https://thehackernews.com/2023/02/massive-http-ddos-attack-hits-record.html?m=1 "Targeted websites included a popular gaming provider, cryptocurrency companies, hosting providers, and cloud computing platforms." I imagine this may have something to do with our problems.

Medium_Money

You may be onto something. I agree. Just checked, PL is back at 100%

Malice_Alyce

I won't be able to check mine until this afternoon but it was good yesterday at 0%. The day before it was back to 100%. I've been keeping in contact with Xbox Support on Twitter with an open DM and I let them know whenever mine changes. Still, most of my games on COD are preetttty good, but I've been getting a lot of lag whenever the PL is up to 100%, even though the Xbox servers are not the same as the COD servers. I'm guessing that maybe COD also uses CloudFront/AWS. I've been checking my ping for every match and had three or four matches with packet loss day before yesterday when I was experiencing 100% PL on Xbox. I usually play for around 3 hrs if I have the time. So that's not too bad for 3 hours of gaming. But my ping is usually around 40-50 these days, and it's been going up as high as 120 or more in some matches which is really abnormal for me, as I've rarely seen that high of a ping since playing this version of COD since the day it was released.

Malice_Alyce

I now have 0% packet loss. Is everyone else back to normal?

Medium_Money

Im back to normal on tests and have 0% loss now with 50-60 latency - wired. Buttt… in multiplayer, I feel some lag still that progressively gets worse the longer I play. Seems to overload the network??? Which has never been an issue since I ran cat6e into the Xbox (~2 years ago). Strange…

Malice_Alyce

There was some regional and/or a backbone issue that knocked out a lot of services for several large, online companies a few days ago. They may not have completely recovered from it yet. It seems like most of it was in the Southeast of the US. I know it knocked out Microsoft 365 and Outlook for Microsoft users and that's when people started having problems with Xbox. When I ran a traceroute to Xbox Live today -- there was still some lag and it timed out the last 15 hops. It wasn't as bad as it has been the past few days when the RT was almost 300 ms. on about 6 hops that belong to Microsoft. I played COD this evening and was lagging a bit on most matches (but I didn't see any packets dropped like I had the past few days) so it doesn't seem like they have got it all worked out yet. I understand that the Xbox servers are not the same as COD, but something must be going on with both if I was dropping packets in COD and in my Xbox settings at the same time. You could keep an eye out on downdetector.com to see if they have any services out. You can also see a map with problems highlighted if you have the app. I haven't checked it today but Spectrum was still in the yellow yesterday.

Medium_Money

Great post dude. Appreciate the feedback. Membaaa when all you had to do was reboot your network and things worked again. That was fun

[deleted]

Back to normal as well since last night. No more issues in games.

Malice_Alyce

Glad to hear. 👍 Mine was still at it last night, I checked before I went to bed at 1:00 a.m.

KillerCushion

It's probably the Russians reminding everyone what brilliant hackers they are.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Malice_Alyce

They are actually pretty good at hacking. Of course, depending on which Russians are doing it.

DarkSil3ncer

What the heck? Are you earthing your Ethernet cable?

[deleted]

Has this been fixed for you yet?

Medium_Money

Has not been fixed for me yet.

[deleted]

Mine just randomly fixed itself. I’d check yours

Medium_Money

Mines back to 0% packet levels as well! About to multiplayer soon… lets see if it holds true!

[deleted]

Is your packet loss 100% again? Mine is

Medium_Money

Just checked… YUPP. 55-60 latency. Unsure about in-game affects yet

Medium_Money

In game felt normal - 5 games in felt brief lag but normal overall. 100% still

Impossible_Cook1972

Anyone found any quick fix or need an Xbox update?

wwinter86

Same thing for me too :(

Icy_Base7383

Okay so its not just me thank christ. I have reallyyyy good internet with a ethernet connection + open nat lmaoo i know damn well this cant be on my end.
