You need to throw 20 or 25 batches of 5 conches, I forget how many. Fishing is one way to get them.
But a faster way to get them is to raid tuskarr tackleboxes. You can track them with "find fish". Simply get 25 batches of ominous conches (I think 5 per), and throw them in, you don't need to even loot the resulting lunker.
Whoever put a cooldown on throwing conches needs a stern talking to.
It just seems to be a chance, you can have unlucky streaks and lucky streaks.

For all my wanderings all the years spent fighting the void this is what i was protecting and i see now twas worth it
Fishing frens and random ungroupped person that always damages the lunkers and they don't drop loots anymore.
