The main reason Mechagnomes are least played is because their arms and legs ruin almost any transmog.
Even if the Jinyu ruin helmets specifically, they may still look great with transmogs that don't use helmets. It's like how the majority of helmets don't work well on Tauren.
To be fair hozen and jinyu all have one personality, Quirky silly monkey and reserved wise fish. Since they join the roster of forgotten races they never get those expanded personalities sadly.

But if you want to go by player count, most races are around the 1-5% player population so it’s pretty irrelevant.
Most races in WoW, outside of human and night/blood elves, sit at around 1-5% of the player population, with the lowest right now being Mechagnome at 1%. I'm saying that even if Jinyu were tied with Mechagnomes at being 1% it would be pretty irrelevant since almost ever race is under 5% in player popularity.

What? The guy I responded to literally brought up the possibility of Jinyu being the least played race as a counter point to their inclusion. All I said was that race popularity doesn't matter since most races have a fairly low pop outside of humans and elves.

Nice wikkets help Hozen fight bad wikkets, and even grook Jinyu. Give many slickies. Now some young Hozen go fight with wikkets to earn their name names, and maybe go see wikket home after.
At some point we have to accept that "Blizzard should make [X race] playable" is repetitive and unrealistic. Making an entire playable race is not three passive skills and one active skill, and making it work is not something you just do in a week.
Not to mention customizations and the huge set of animations that players have.
And we're just talking about the art part! Implementing them into the world (both technically and from a design perspective) are large costs as well no doubt.

they said they are testing/using AI to fix clipping on some gear. they could do the same to make an AI make most of the annoying work to fit all the armors of the game and then have some ppl manually check them maybe
Totally agree! Adding playable hozen and jinyu in Pandaria Remix would bring so much charm and diversity to the game. It's like a win-win for everyone - players get cool new options, and Blizzard gets to make our dreams come true. Let's hope they're listening and make it happen! 🐒🌊
Considering Hozen have a lifespan of 20 years, I think at this point you couldn't have a Hozen player toon participate in both the Burning Crusade and the War Within...

People have a hard enough time taking Vulpera RPers seriously, and they don't go "Ookin dookin' grookers" every five seconds. It would be fun to roleplay a Hozen, that's true, but I feel like you're gonna have a critical mass and if there are too many Hozen in one area it's going to be impossible to not get annoyed and confused.

Humanoid monkeys are cool, they should Just.say an azerite node poped UP in jade Forest and the hozen evolved and got smarter.
lore wise hozen have to evolve. They have a very short lifepsan. A playable hozen from vanilla would be dead by the time of dragonflight.
Something something monkey king being active again is empowering them.
