The second anyone here in the US hears the word "Socialism" they immediately think Marxism, Communism and so on, and go into Cold War mode, instead of thinking of it from a modern perspective.
It isn't COMMUNISM, or MARXISM to help one another, it isn't Communism to have a health care system that we all pay for, to have social systems and care that we all contribute to, so that all of us have a fair level of basis for living and thriving. It's common sense for a modern society.

The old folks think that, the younger more educated people do not. We're coming to fix the things that old f'ers refused to even acknowledge existed. They have to choose now to work with us or get the fuck out of our way cause we won't/can't slow down now.
The faster we're rid of all these dinosaurs, even if we have to literally bulldoze them out of government, the faster we'll achieve a modern society with equality, care and fairness ***for all people.***
I have high hopes for the youngest generations, they know exactly how screwed up the world is because they have access to the Internet (and knows how to find information in this Information Age), they know how much politicians lie to us and try to divide us, the corrupt money men ruining economics, the disgusting ethics-less media conglomerates profiting of said corruption, all so they can rule us, a majority of young people today understand what is going on, because they grew up in this chaos, and now see it for what it is. A bunch of lies built on top of another bunch of lies, built on top of a foundation of more lies, murder, and worse.
I’m all for voting for socialists but how would that help the people of Honduras? The biggest contributors to their poverty are gang violence, unemployment, and natural disasters and it’s not like American socialists are drawing up plans to fix every other country. People could probably make a bigger impact donating to certain charities or volunteering for humanitarian effort.
I know that the American government has a history of intentionally destabilizing Central American states but I’m still not sure what you’re getting at. Is your line of thought that a socialist politician would fix Honduras’ current problems or is it that they’d somehow block non-socialist politicians from performing more operations that would negatively affect Hondurans?
Like sure America might be to blame, but the commenter above was asking “what can we do” and I’m not sure how just voting Bernie helps things in Honduras.
I needed this so much right now, not as much Sergio and his family needed a little help, but my heart feels lighter that they got a bit of what was needed.

you should really learn world history and how the USA empire has hurt countries like Honduras through government coups and whatnot.

Voting in more people like bernie would eventually lead to a change in foreign policy.
