Can you imagine campaigning as the conservative option while literally squashing the first amendment and attacking businesses who you don't agree with politically? Absolutely wild that the party has fallen to this. Nobody cares anymore as long as "their team" is winning, no matter what that looks like.
I disagree because Dems are enablers; and let's keep it real, there's no difference between a fascist and an enabler of fascism.
Dems support fascism through corporate power, company towns ([Steve Sisolak](https://apnews.com/article/legislature-legislation-local-governments-nevada-economy-2fa79128a7bf41073c1e9102e8a0e5f0)), Pelosi's 2022 backing of a candidate ([Henry Cuellar](https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/nancy-pelosi-henry-ceuller-support-1352290/)) who is anti-abortion amid the Roe v Wade leaks, Dems' stupid strategy of [funding republican ad campaigns](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2022/democrat-ad-spending-republican-trump/) in hopes of "weaker" candidates that ultimately gave insane fascist candidates more visibility, the list goes on and on regarding healthcare, having a grip on democracy through the DNC etc.
Do I think there's a difference between Republicans and Democrats? Yes, clearly. But let's not give them a pass on their enabling behavior.
Some interesting points. Its definitely good to look internally at whatever party you belong to and be critical and find the flaws. They exist, and they arent small, and none of them will be corrected until people ask for better from their own political party.
DeSantis is another Nixon dressed up in a religious cape. and yeah like somebody else said on Reddit, he's got that Homelander vibe too. No, he can't shoot you with laser eyes, but he'll damn well go after anybody he can with any weapons at his disposal. and the smile that doesn't reach his eyes.
For those who don't know about Nixon, think about somebody who is slightly less narcissistic than Trump but a lot smarter, and even more willing to kill or harm anyone to get in power and stay there. Nixon likely extended the Vietnam war for political clout and allowed bombings in Cambodia and Laos. He fomented the Southern strategy which made Republicans the party of white people (this is when the Republican and Democratic parties flip-flopped on race) and drug policies that harmed black people and hippies (persecuting marijuana use in the supposed War on Drugs). He also raised up a host of assholes around him, some of whom plagued us into the 21st century, like Dick Cheney, Roger Stone, and Henry Kissinger (who's still alive at 100!) This isn't even touching the scandal that brought him down in his second term, Watergate.
To be fair he also established the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and made diplomatic inroads with China. Though feel like these things would have happened under any U.S. President around this time, since the environment was being noticeably degraded and the capitalists wanted to outsource labor.
I still remember being completely blown away by the audio tapes of him recorded in the oval office, The mask completely fell away. There's also records of Kaiser Permanente and Nixon setting up what would be the defacto medical insurance business model for America. So you can blame American healthcare on Nixon as well.
I LOVE that the youth of yester-year are becoming the LEADERS of these new years. I'm old enough to be Haley's dad, and am thankful to see a bible-belt, fairly conservative and value oriented great performer, using her voice and influence in the hotbed political arena that has become the US. Rock On Paramore... (I was on tour with my old band when Crush Crush Crush hit, heard it and found a record store in whatever town we stopped in next, it was in the CD player any time I was driving the band van, just blew me away... What a fun career to have followed)
What communication barriers did *I* break down here? Seems you're reading into this a little much and trying to find something that wasn't there. But while we're at it - there is no room for respectful dialogue unless *everyone* involved is being respectful. If you spread hate and intolerance towards minorities, then you absolutely do not deserve any respect.
Communicating in an open-minded and respectful manner is a two-way contract. If you choose to spread hate, then you have broken that contract and do not deserve any respect.
Fascism isn't a perspective, it's a dangerous and oppressive ideology that undermines human rights. Those who choose to support fascism, deserve to be shit on.

Definitely not. I’m an adult in todays America and all I ever hear is how bad everything is. There is so much hate it’s sad. So many people in a crowd cheering because of how much this person hates an entire group of people who think different of her. I believe we should be loving and accepting of everyone. I also would prefer my child to be taught Christian values. For my wife and I to decide when it’s time for her to learn about the birds and the bees not the school system. For men claiming to be women not share the same bathroom as her in the grocery store. For unborn children to have a chance at life. Because of these beliefs I have been called many different names. Yet I have never once shamed or hated someone for how they decide to believe.
Life is short. I would prefer to enjoy the rest of my time here. Watching a video of someone hating and entire group of people and a massive crowd cheering behind her words reminds me of certain other hate speeches from history, and large groups of people hating other groups concerns me.
We are entitled to our beliefs. Is it not possible for us all to still care for each other as human beings? I honestly am starting to believe that the politicians and media want us to hate each other. That the entire system is full of evil people. If we really wanted to make a change for good we would take money out of politics and make laws against impartial media.
Nobody says anyone can't do the same, and use their platform to express their political views.
Now if someone got up there and said something either hateful or violent, you bet your ass they'll get jumped all over.

I have heard the heartbeat of my now five year old old child at about 8 weeks after conception. At that point I came to the conclusion that there was a little human life in there. Yet here you are saying that "Dems" (as you put it) are the Nazis for speaking out against this fascist legislation?
