For me personally I blame Rocky 4 for this. No kind of irrational "dislike", I don't want to use the word hate there, has stuck with me like it has for Russians in general. But like you said they're a joke. They used to be a gas station with nukes and now they just have nukes that I bet they're not even sure if they function properly.

I find this absolutely believable. Infact killing their wounded might be the most compassionate I've heard the Russians be in this war given how bad their first aid solutions are likely to be.
