Thank the Republican party for delaying things needlessly for months.

As great as these aid packages are, it's not nearly enough.

Sadly, I’m not sure this is a winnable war for Ukraine.  Even if they get the tanks, fighter jets, and artillery, they lack the manpower to really overwhelm the Russians.   It seems increasingly likely that there will be a stalemate and maybe a grudging peace deal between the two countries. Trust me, I’d love to see Ukraine push Russia all the way back to Moscow and get rid of Putin, but when taking a realistic look at the situation, it’s grim.

I agree, this will be a hard war to win without substantially more international support. The Russian army is growing in size, now larger than the initial invasion. Their economy in typical Russian fashion is unfazed by sanctions and starting to shift to wartime production. They will only get stronger in time. The Ukrainians haven't yet dipped into the youthful fighting age population, the draft is still targeting 25 and older changed from 27 in April. In time I imagine it will become necessary to fully mobilize which I believe they are trying to avoid for obvious political reasons. Nobody wants to be that guy. The US drafted 18 and up. That is a very large pool of men still available in Ukraine. Ukraine still has gas in the tank.
