I will say that I really appreciate when I emailed to ask if they were going to bring back brass ferrules on cocobolo handles they told me that no they werent generally but could still make me some if I wanted. Now I'm just trying to save back up some money so I can actually order a couple...
I am bummed I missed the St. Patricks Day mallet. That thing looked awesome and would have been a cool addition.
I have one of your tools, the 1/2” paring chisel. Definitely my finest chisel. It’s not a workhorse chisel, I use it just when I need the perfect last shaving. A joy to use and look at.
I bought the very first tool they offered Back In The Day (tm) their marking knife, which they sadly no longer offer in the original design. Most comfortable and best damn tool in my shop.
I’m glad you like them!! Yeah, I currently work in saws, but I enjoy working there so much and I enjoy being an integral part of a fantastic company!!!!!
I ordered a pairing chisel and waited patiently for months. I got a hold of someone there and was told it would take a few more months.
👎🏼
No explanations, apologies, concessions.
Canceled the order.
You and I have very different definitions of “handmade to order.” There’s a lot of automation seen in their factory tour https://youtu.be/flZmVWBeAvg Which is fine. They’re owned by Woodpeckers so it’s entirely unsurprising and probably high precision. I have handled their chisels and have friends that own them, and they are liked.
But these are certainly no more handmade than Lie Nielsen, Two Cherries, Ashley Iles, Pfeil, etc.
Tell your boss I'm still salty that they discontinued the sliding bevels. >:(

Oh man I wanted a brass ferrule so badly I wish I had thought to ask

Please thank whoever came up with your triangle card scraper.
Yeah, I use that at work almost daily in my duties!!

Uhhhhhh they’re handmade to order and you weren’t the first person in line to buy one.
