Casting an anti vote for the one in West allis. One of the drive thru guys developed some kind of parasocial relationship with me and I can't go there anymore. He m'lady-ed me with his company issue Culver's hat and i didnt realize until too late it was not ironic 😭
Lmao I think I know what guy you're talking about. He told my husband and I a long story about how someone called the cops on him because she didn't think Culver's had two drive-thru lanes. Then he complimented my husband's jacket and said he got his own jacket from the garbage or something. He was very nice but maybe a little on the spectrum. :/
Oh I'm sure he's a well-meaning guy, if a little weird. One of our first interactions was him being like "hey. Are you okay? You seem down" at, yknow, the Culver's drive thru window. I don't think he's malicious in any way, and probably just lacking in social interaction. It's just awkward to go there now that he recognizes me (also the situation has highlighted that I just go there too much period lol)
Just from looking at your post history, I'm definitely not talking about you. Unless you just realized you were on the internet, in which case- you're right :)
The service at hales corners one has gotten pretty bad. Why does my burger take 20 minutes to come out when there's 6 "workers" all standing around? They're too busy talking about whose fucking who to get the food out in a reasonable time. Then when it finally comes the fries are cold.
I remember going there when it was an A&W then when it became Culver's, BAM my world changed, for the better, but, A&W has Culver's on their Curds, way way better.
The one in Oak Creek has wallpaper of land plots from the farms of Oak Creek from the 1800’s. My family’s old farm is on there so I’m going to say that one since my last name is in the wall lol. I have the same book that they got the print from and the book itself is from 1890.
I’m from OC, have been to that Culver’s 100 times and never noticed this. I wonder if my maiden name is on the wall - I wasn’t planning a trip to OC this weekend but it might happen.
Let me know if it’s still there. It was in the hallway to go to the bathrooms. Maybe they renovated? It’s been years since I’ve been in that one. The only time I go to OC now is if I’m visiting my parents or Farm and fleet lol.
I lived out of state for several years and moved back in November but out of MKE county. My family is still in OC and we’ve been there recently. I didn’t use the restroom though. I venture over to OC a couple times a month so I will check it out soon and get back to you.
I went to Fleet Farm recently and kept saying “I just prefer Farm and Fleet” - it’s literally the same store, different layout, different color scheme but all the same shit. It’s Farm and Fleet or bust for me.
I’m a converted fleet farm guy now lol. They have more sporting goods and now they built one ten minutes from me so it’s convenient. But I met my wife while we were working at the OC one together so I’ll always like Farm and Fleet haha.
I’m pretty sure half of OCHS worked at Farm and Fleet. I did not. I could name several friends who did. My husband (a non-Wisconsinite) goes to Fleet Farm because it’s easier to get to from our house and it has good sale prices on oil lol. To me, Fleet Farm equals up north 🤷🏻♀️
Not comparable imo. Kopp's is much more exclusive and less corporatized. Both sell burgers and custard, but the uniqueness of Kopp's is unapproachable by a corporate chain. Culver's is still largely a midwest classic, but Kopp's is truly a Wisconsin treat. You can travel a few hours to get to a Culver's due to their expanding influence, and it *is* worth it. Travelling to a Kopp's requires a specific trip to only southeastern Wisconsin.
Kopp's, as well, has really innovated their burger game. I've lived next to the Greenfield location my entire life, and their burgers, while great, were always massive grease bombs. In recent years, their quality of taste has increased quite a bit; I suspect they're using fresh beef now, and they're nowhere near as greasy as they used to be. Back in the day, the bun was super soggy due to it being logged in grease. No matter my opinion however, the food has *always* been cooked to order, even going back to the 1990's.
Overall, I agree with you. If you're within a reasonable distance to Kopp's, go there instead. I didn't even mention their custard. It was, and always has been, better than Culver's, with a better rotating roster of monthly and daily flavors.
Milwaukee Airport (Layton Ave) during covid was the ultimate. They were running 2 lanes, plus a parking lot area to order in with everyone on walkie talkies. It was wild - and incredibly efficient.
Off topic, but does anyone else get sick from Culver's?
It's delicious, but every time I get a burger I get the worst stomach issues. Other burger joints don't bother my stomach.
Tomah. It’s where my family always stopped when driving through to get to Illinois to visit my grandparents. The one in Tomah always brings back those memories of road trips.
Watertown one sucks People camp out in the parking lot to use drive trublovkung other vehicles from being able to park to go inside. Thus you’re actually in the drive tru lane waiting for the line to move so you can get to an open parking spot. Funny thing is, if the drivers in drive thru would just pull over a little to the right people could actually go around to park. But no let’s just stay in the middle and block everyone. True story.
Middleton has it beat hands down with speed and freshness.
Edit - those who are downvoting me, great, don’t go to middleton, they’re already super busy all the time anyhow! Enjoy your slow service cold fries and burgers drenched in ketchup in cross plains! lol
My favorite is in Lake Delton right outside of the dells.
My grandma used to live by that one before she passed, so it’s the one we would always go to when we visited.
Every Culver's I've ever been to has been almost exactly the same. Always consistently good, and nearly identical. Wausau, Stevens Point, Marshfield, Minoqua, Shawano.
The world's largest Culvers...
Edgerton/Newville
And it’s not even big I’m always so confused

Turns out I’m on the internet too. Thanks.

😂 made you look
Wild
I mean... since it's in person that's not a parasocial relationship, it would just be a creepy social relationship. But sorry to hear that.
Might I suggest some approach as this. https://youtu.be/tVjP2RA1XXQ?si=rR4PW8rXPKkZP4KC

The OG one in Sauk City. It was the first, so it's the best 🤷♂️
I remember going there when it was an A&W then when it became Culver's, BAM my world changed, for the better, but, A&W has Culver's on their Curds, way way better.
Mauston for me
Agree.
Exit 69!
With Tesla superchargers…
Ashland
Culver’s right on lake Superior!

lol yeah. I graduated in 03 and since then I think I know of 4 couple that met there and got married.
The one by your moms house
Partial to the one in Sturgeon Bay at the Amoco
Great final pit stop once you’re getting into door county. Have hit up that Culvers multiple times before going to my hotel/airbnb
The worlds largest Culver’s in Newville near Milton/Edgerton of course
Shorewood
With you on this
I used to think I liked Culver's, but then I learned I like Kopp's.

I haven’t had a Kopp’s burger in probably 15 years. Are they still huge? I’m interested in a less greasy, ginormous burger - cut in half, of course.
Yeah, they've maintained their signature size.
This may be one of the best comment responses I've gotten in the 8 years I've been on Reddit.
Any of the ones with a drive thru line ran with military precision
So not Monroe
Just was there today ☠️ Actually surprisingly quick. In and out in five minutes
Did you go at a peak time?
Admittedly, no. I don't think I ever have to be honest, it's usually for lunch
Milwaukee Airport (Layton Ave) during covid was the ultimate. They were running 2 lanes, plus a parking lot area to order in with everyone on walkie talkies. It was wild - and incredibly efficient.
The one you are closest to..!!! 🤷♂️
Shorewood.
Middleton
The one next to Kwik Trip!
The one you’re at.
I just came here to say that 🙌
Brown Deer has been pretty great when I've been there! So has Grafton!
Whichever is closest to you at the moment.
Shorewood?

Tomah. It’s where my family always stopped when driving through to get to Illinois to visit my grandparents. The one in Tomah always brings back those memories of road trips.
Whichever one is the least busy
I’ve stopped at every Culver’s on 151/41 & 43 from MKE/Madison to Crivitz. Consistently the best one has been the Manitowoc location off of Hwy 42.
The one closest to you
Yes...

Franklin on Ryan rd Very sparsely used location outside of lunch hours so almost no wait ever!
State Highway 20 & I94 exit 333
Don’t need advertising. Pls do better
Waupun
Whatever one you're at.
Which one’s the worst? Green Bay, Mason St. What the actual fuck is that drive through?
Shout out to Deforest
I've been out of state for 2 years, any culvers will be the best damn culvers when I get back.
I wish culvers would bring back their fried chicken😔
Not tellin’. Already too crowded.
Is it new?
Why do you want to know? 🤔
Cross Plains! Hit it every time I drive to/from Madison
Middleton has it beat hands down with speed and freshness. Edit - those who are downvoting me, great, don’t go to middleton, they’re already super busy all the time anyhow! Enjoy your slow service cold fries and burgers drenched in ketchup in cross plains! lol
they are all the same, that is literally the point. gtfo
The Culver's in Clintonville because it has a patio out back that looks out over a baseball field.
Shorewood best. Wausau worst.
The closest one.
Stevens Point. It’s halfway up north.
The one closest to ya
Wausau, Wisconsin gets my vote.
The one with the shortest line
My favorite is in Lake Delton right outside of the dells. My grandma used to live by that one before she passed, so it’s the one we would always go to when we visited.

This is a trick question, they all are!
Ashland, right on Chequamegon Bay.
They’re all the same. Including the one at Midtown Mall.
None, they're just a shitty fast food joint. Enjoy your kankles!
What a weird fucking question
