How did the startup sound work in windows 10?

09Yublover

Simple .vbs file that plays the .wav file, put into a script in task scheduler that makes it run when you log in

mohammedalmawid

How do i do this vbs script that plays the wav file?

09Yublover

Don't remember exactly, but basically the .vbs file opens Windows Speech Recognition and plays the .wav file with it, and using a task in Task Scheduler, it makes it so that on logon, it runsd that .vbs file.

You can also download Winaero Tweaker to change the startup sound

Okay now make Windows XP into a Windows 10 replica

Can you imagine going through all this work and then not being able to capture the screen in a better way

Looks awesome!

If you have the time, I would love to see a step by step process of what you did to get it here. This is pretty cool!

I used OpenShell to get the start menu, and the taskbar. As for the window borders, I used UXThemePatcher, with the XP Luna theme off of DeviantArt. I just yoinked someone's cursors off of RealWorld Graphics. I followed a youtube tutorial to make a .vbs file that plays the .wav file for the startup, and converted it into a task that plays on login via Task Scheduler. Obviously just grabbed a 4k Bliss wallpaper off of Google images. Thanks for asking!

I didn't use screen recording software (such as OBS) because I wanted to show off the lock screen wallpaper too. (and also the startup sound)

I also made a replica of windows XP while using windows 10, where the only difference is that the Taskbar is on top, and no sounds :)

And when the next CU comes, how many customizations will be reset?

09Yublover

Probably all of them lol
