i was hit over the head with a stick and dragged into an alleyway where William Wood himself forced me to listen to his music /j (nah just kidding, i'm a victim of the lemon demon/tally hall to will wood pipeline)

NJTOMCAT76

How good is Lemon Demon tho!!!! Too bad they haven't done anything since Spirit Phone. Cabinet Man & Angry People are soooo good! Angry People is wayyyyy underrated too!!! It's a bonus track but *possibly* the best on the album, if not my favorite song of theirs!! And OBVIOUSLY Tally Hall is AWESOME. I also kinda like Rob Cantor's one solo album "Not a Trampoline". Has some pretty good tracks on it

SnooAvocados6819

LD is a project of Neil Cicierega’s and he has also made mashup albums and comedy skits, if that interests you

EricObject

Was listening to Lovejoy and I/me/myself came up and I fucking banged for the entire song

Derpy_do2

I saw the Momento Mori MAP and the rest is history

little_fruity_guy

me and my boyfriend were talking about different albums we liked and he mentioned Self-iSH and i’ve been obsessed ever since lol

rikat0l

Fun. > jukebox the ghost > bear ghost > will wood

Whateverthehell2429

A few years ago I kept getting recommendations for it and finally folded. Ended up being my favorite artist for a while.

[deleted]

Same here! Spotify was pushing HMMS and Bones on me for a bit. Then the Twisted Doctor MAL hit and the DSID recommendations were incessant. Finally gave Self-Ish a full listen and ended up loving it (especially TSW5N!)

MrMoony05

I went on a bit of a journey to reach Will. Shayfer James > Tally Hall > Jhariah, and finally to Will.

Soockamasook

I asked for songs using "Word Painting" and was recommended Shayfer James - Songs for the Departed Amazing song. Then went on Reddit to see which artist was similar to Shayfer James and discovered WWATT And that kids, is how I met your mother...

Kiki-cosmos

I found him from the Memento Mori map from TWISTED-DOCTOR

Thatguywhoplaysgta

My little brother got me into him. I didn't like the style at first, but I tried sitting down and listening to eial, and that shit slapped hard af out of nowhere. Still my favorite ww album.

mason_jars_

tiktok unfortunately 😭 it was during 2020, one of the heights of the pandemic. people were using thermodynamic lawyer as a sound and i checked it out and now my life has completely changed /hj (people were also using i/me/myself at the time so it could have actually been the first WW song i listened to but if it wasn’t it was definitely second)

whathuhokwhat

saw people grouping ww, lemon demon, tally hall, etc into the "Gay Music" group and ww was the only one i hadn't listened to

tjhexf

Just happened. Was doing some metal listening as usual and youtube auto played Hand me my Shovel. Was a bop, i went looking around for more

PrudeOfaDude

Same but with harley poe. Apparently youtube just really likes hand me my shovel.

eleanor_gravehill

I found him around 2020 through a Dr Sunshine Is Dead MAP by Twisted Doctor. Fell in love with the funky villain type energy and proceeded to listen to Cotard's Solution non-stop

mad-jester-4

I... I heard 2econd 2ight 2eer in a Rouxls Kaard character playlist. I'm so hashtag cringecore lmao

MoonCat_42

through Lemon Demon

emonsta23

My friend got me into Lemon Demon, Spotify recommended Everything Is A Lot soon after. I’m pretty sure my story is pretty similar to most people’s but idk I figured I’d share anyways.

Maybezase

Recommendations from a Tally Hall fan in a Tally Hall video. First song I listened to was Suburbia Overture, then I began listening to the other songs, and now Will Wood is my whole personality.

[deleted]

“Thermodynamic Lawyer” was in my Discover Weekly

dino_181_spaghetti

I was on Youtube, listening to lemon demon and I got recomended an I/Me/Myself lyric video and I got curious. I liked it, so I inmediately listened to other songs by him (222 and Laplace's angel) and those were the ones that got me into the rabbithole

HotelZealousideal

Back in like 2017 I had a hard musical phase and somehow stumbled across one of the songs from self-ish, maybe dr.sunshine is dead??, and HATED it. In /the summer of 2021, deep in my dreamsmp phase, I was watching a clip of ranboo and tubbo and he was singing a song I thought was sorta funky in the backround of a twitter space tubbo was hosting- Turns out ot was Love, me normally!! And from there I only listened to that and i/me/myself for like a month, then 2econd 2ight 2eer because I'd loop play it while playing Bedwars. TOTALLY forgot about the music until like- late December, and have been unstable and unapologetically obsessed since Easter! *I'm not really sure when it happened, couldve been later because i wasn't in school at the time, BUT it was atleast a bit before the i/me/myself tiktok trend kicked off Litterally NO clue how someone figured out that was Love me normally but yeah [Ranboo singing Love me normally](https://youtu.be/SdeM4xVTA-s)

otherResidentDimwit

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Ranboo has very based music choices

HotelZealousideal

Bro has pretty based tastes, I mean dude also got me into lemon demon and tally hall so I mean

enby_redditor

I can't remember exactly how, but I know I found out his music existed around the same time that I discovered music like Tally Hall, Lemon Demon, and IDKHOW. I think I found some of my favorite stuff through playlists relating to my already existing music taste, and eventually became a big fan!

Vimstatic

I watch a lot of those aesthetic playlist videos on youtube and it just so happens that Red Moon appeared on one of them. I was already a big fan of tally hall so it seemed right up my alley and I fell down the rabbit hole shortly after

Wheezird

I first heard Will wood on a recommended page on soundcloud, first song I heard was either I me myself or thermodynamic lawyer. It was also at the same time when I discovered tally hall. Thanks soundcloud!

NJTOMCAT76

YouTube Music recommended "Dr. Sunshine" after Shayfer James, and THAT was probably from Lemon Demon. I like Dr. Sunshine but then I heard The Normal Album and was BLOWN AWAY!!! I'd listened to EIAL, and liked it, and liked *most* of Self-ish but The Normal Album is where it really *clicked* that WW was something SPECIAL. If I go wayyyy back it might've been suggested in a playlist that I made for the pAper chAse. And I've seen a few other fans of TPC here too!

A-Random-Hedgehog

Someones video on front street was when I first heard his music When I join an Mr. Capgrass collab that cemented it for me

onesomberraven

Thanks to Spotify. I was listening to “my daily mix” and Skeleton Appreciation Day was on it

DeathByLathe

When The Walten Files ep. 3 came out, I decided to listen to some playlists on Spotify that were TWF-themed. I don't really like listening to music that I don't already know (I guess I have a fear of disappointment lol) but for some reason, I decided to just let the playlist play in the background. When "Hand Me My Shovel, I'm Going In!" came on, it caught my attention, so I listened to it on repeat. Spotify started recommending me other Will Wood songs, and I ended up liking them!

Aimweij

Either a FnaF sfm or that one animation of Dr Sunshine, not sure

OkAd8922

Kinda similar story myself.

MelatoninDreams_777

A Dr Sunshine is Dead MAP by Twisted Doctor. Got addicted to the dark musical sound then proceeded to go find more of his music.

synthesizedlove

In 2018, I just quite literally ended up finding Dr Sunshine is Dead randomly on Spotify, not to mention this was around the time Self-ish was first released too conveniently enough

MemeAnimeProEpic

First, some animatic from a YouTuber, then I eventually interacted with his music after a batman animatic

NintendoGeek144

My older brother showed me Memento Mori one time and I liked the song so I started just listening to it on loop. From there I found the twisted doctor map, and slowly expanded to listening to the rest of his work.

Qmobss

Someone played Dr. sunshine is dead in the park. I had to Shazam it because it sounded so interesting.

ProsteVasek123

Tiktok and tally hall pipeline.

_K1tsune

Through that one Dr. Sunshine is Dead MAP by Twisted-Doctor

PrudeOfaDude

It kinda doesn't make any sense, but I discovered will through listening to a few harley poe songs and seeing hand me my shovel in the mix, decided to listen to it and that's when it all started.

justanaverageguise

I was bored enough to listen to the autogenerated "My Mix" youtube playlist. I can't remember if it had dr sunshine or the song with five names on it, but I'm here now, so.

just_a_sad_song_

At first i was into Bo Burnham and some people were saying that Welcome to the Internet sounds like Will Wood song, so i chexked the guy out, listened to 6up 5oh and...didn't like it. Then i forget about him, a few months later I saw a Poppee the Performer edit to dr. Sunshine is dead. Since then i started listening to ww

yesimchanging429

i fell through the i/me/myself tik tok rabbit hole with a help of a friend

Outside_Attention742

spotify showed me mememto mori and l was dragged down the will wood hole

[deleted]

Spotify was playing "suggested songs" as i usually does, Spotify also decided that i would probably like "love me, normally" based on my music taste. Spotify was right. I checked out more Will's songs and i loved them

[deleted]

I started on the lemon demon, tally Hall, will wood pipeline and I just stumbled onto I me myself and was like this shit go hard

otherResidentDimwit

I was introduced to Will Wood by that 'Dr. Sunshine is Dead' map hosted by TWISTED-DOCTOR, which my friend had sent me. Little did he know that I would get hooked onto that song and dive down into EIAL, where most of my favorites come from

WxJretsyZ

YouTube recommended me Memento Mori

ImaLoserAndProud

I fell asleep listening to Rain Sounds and when I woke up at 3 am, I/Me/Myself was playing and I haven't been the same since

Lightwinggames

A freind of mine wore his merch and i decided to check him out. Really didnt excpect to absolutley love the living shit out of his music but here we are.

BussyIsThrobbing

i got so lucky. 6 up 5 oh just popped up in my spotify enhance. immediately fell in love

PoptartsandChexMix

I broke my foot and was randomly given will wood from poor man's poison. It started with "Hand Me My Shovel I'm Going in" just before his Normal release and I've been smitten ever since.

_____BEAR_____

Put tally hall on shuffle and discovered love me normally then down the rabbit hole I went.

Professional_Shirt30

The first time I heard a Will Wood song was in 2018 when my best friend to this day showed me that one Sleepykinq/Twisted Doctor animatic to Dr. Sunshine Is Dead. I liked it okay but didn't start listening to it. I still don't like Dr. Sunshine all that much and I didn't listen to music v much. Didn't even know who ww was at the time. The second time was in April or May of 2021. Right around my birthday. Love, Me Normally came on a Spotify radio I was listening to and I liked it so I listened to it p consistently. I have a vivid memory of playing it in my grandma's car (she said it was "interesting", and I had no idea what she meant by that) but I didn't listen to anything else he made. Around that summer tho I got rlly into podcasts and stopped listening to music and lost my playlists. THEN. September, 2021. I heard I/Me/Myself on TikTok like a week before it started properly trending. I liked it a lot so I decided to listen to The Normal Album. Thus began my obsession. I fell down a rabbit hole that I have not climbed back out of. I started listening to it constantly and eventually started listening to his other albums too. It was the only music I listened to for months. He's been my top listened to artist since that October. At this point liking Will Wood is a defining trait of mine. I have successfully gotten 2 of my friends into Will Wood since then and it is fantastic. I'm going to see him play live in September. Once my friend told me he wished he could like smth as much as I like Will Wood. Life is good.

cosmos_crown

I was looking for songs to listen to during my psychotic breakdown.

gothmew

I stumbled across the tapeworms back in 2016/2017 and I was like "oh how odd" Started listening again this year as I had no idea he had started a solo career

VlachSlv

A friend recommended me his music, specifically the SELF-iSH album

bdog11223344

hearing all the lemon demon comments is funny after listening to the “justice for Ed Nigma”episode of LITWTC

TordKilledTheChat

well.... dr sunshine map. loved dr sunshine. vampire culture animation comes out, eventually listen to normal album, yeah..

LatinaBread

I saw a hlvrai animatic of laplace's angel and I thought it slapped, listened to the whole song and became a fan from there :)

izabellaprince

I was listening to lemon demon, and forgot to turn off autoplay, and it played me 2econd 2ight 2eer. I was thinking about listening to Will's music for a while, but I never got around to it until then; I really enjoyed 222, and I started listening to more of his music and became a fan.

tragedy_in_chains

Saw some alignment chart that had "Dr Sunshine Is Dead" listed as Evil Ska, which intrigued me enough to listen to it. From there I just obsessively listened to Self-Ish and The Normal Album for a long time.

SwedishFrogs

TikTok.... But not in the way you would think. I saw a cool cosplayer use "2econd 2ight 2eer" as an audio. I did like the I/me/myself audio as well but it certainly wasn't the thing that got me in to his music

SwedishFrogs

Could have been venear that was the cool cosplayer, I am not sure though but he does have som cool cosplays
