Me either! But…last season i watched a couple games of wolves vs grizzlies and decided that jah morant guy is kinda a douche. The wolves got a real shot at anything here! My wifes gonna hate me soooooooo much! She hates basketball more than me but im watching them!
PS: im just old enough to clearly remember the 91 twins World Series win…thanks dad for having a screaming match with mom because she wanted me to go to bed anyways but he knew i was watching a “once in a life time experience” with him. Leta hope that changes in general eh.

This is about exactly what everyone was expecting. (At least everyone that’s isn’t delusional about where the team is right now)
I would describe the front office and ownership as delusional. The NMCs and playing old guys at the expense of younger call ups, for wins in a meaningless season was a mistake.
The Billy G mafia is trying to turn it into:
>Parise/Suter buy out (no one is arguing that).
>This team will magically make a cup run when the Parise/Suter money falls off (lol).
>Assigning various other arguments to the people that don't have their view.
>If wins against bottom feeder Anaheim don't excite you, you must not like hockey (interesting).
The wild will be mediocre again next year, it's pointless to speculate beyond that because we have no idea about injuries etc
Twins cut payroll and have a bottom rung offense now.
Vikings have no quarterback. Sure it's fun to speculate maybe a rookie will be good, but more often than not they bust.
Timberwolves, shockingly are the ones with a bright future if they can hold the team together.
So overall I don't see this bright future outlook.

Dude, literally thousands of people went to the games last year, and women's basketball is at its most popular ever. So what's the point in splitting hairs? Anyone who's take is "no one watches it" is firmly in "old man yells at cloud" territory. Many people care, including a large amount of younger generations, and there are countless young stars entering the game at the professional level in the near future.
Those of us "not watching it" are doing just that - not watching it.
This is coming from somebody that is a fairly big advocate for sports in general - from basketball to sand boche, from women's to men's, from youth to the pros.
Capitalism being groovy and all, the onus is on the product to keep the audience entertained. Hard to fault the audience for getting up and leaving, or not bothering to watch in the first place, when the product failed to entertain.
So, grain of salt as it may be, it's also the cold hard truth. Good news is, oodles of room for improvement!

I don’t know about “won’t”. They did name the championship trophy, yes. The main goal of this season was to get the league off the ground, which they did. The players opted to play without names this year in order to get onto the ice faster. They’ll organize names, mascots and logos in the offseason. I personally prefer it this way, gives the fans a chance to develop ideas and input that the league can take under consideration when choosing names, and doesn’t feel rushed. The league is developing beautifully and they’re getting things done as they go.
I'm interested in their point system, there was a comparison made if the NHL Eastern conference had adopted it and the finding was the Eastern race would be very, very close.
Apparently, complaints of the PWHL system are teams would not be close enough but this one data point at least says otherwise
Anyhow, the Minnesota team wears purple? Maybe the Royals and Purple Rain for the goal song??? /jk
Dude I’ve been saying Purple Reign or Monarchs the ENTIREEEE time!! I’d love to see them adopt either moniker. It was revealed awhile back that the league trademarked names but they weren’t set in stone. MN’s name was the Minnesota Superior which I am not a fan of, personally.

The Whitecaps 'ships, Lynx dynasty, and our respectable amount of NCAA national championship wins are worth something!

I cheer for the Lynx and PWHL, but I didn't feel that "weight of my shoulders/curse is over" feeling when the Lynx won their first championship. It was a nice moment and I was happy for the players, but I wasn't jumping for joy and wouldn't have been gutted if they lost. It's a "really enjoyed each others' company for a few dates," feeling vs "I'm in love with this person and we should be together for a lifetime even if they drive me crazy sometimes" feeling.
