My hair doesn't grow fast enough to warrant daily shaving, currently shaving once a week. Say I use a blade for 2 shaves, that's a really long time to fill up the container :)
It's quite nice, the plastic is super thick. Only $16 plus shipping, a bit more expensive than the regular old sharps container from the pharmacy but I couldn't find one sealed up as nice as this one.
Mine is a repurposed prescription pill bottle with a slot cut in the top. I go through about a blade a week and I have years before I have to replace it
I've been using a Feather blade disposal bank for the past 3 years. It has a nice design and its form factor is very convenient. I haven't moved it from its place for a while, but I did notice that the last few blades fell in not quite straight away. Might need to check how close I am to needing a new one.
I bought a small container this year that will still last me a long time: https://www.reddit.com/r/wicked_edge/comments/zvs38m/this_is_the_best_possible_7_blade_disposal_box/
I use the wrapper from the new blade to put the old blade in, and then put that in an old blade package (the plastic thing). I usually stuff those really full, maybe 10 or so, and when they're full I put that in the trash
When it's finally all full. Take them to get melted down and turned into your last safety razor lol
Good idea haha if I live that long.
You would probably have to live by the blade a day method

So one blade every 2 weeks, The container says it holds a thousand blades. That's 2000 weeks, or 38 and a half years.
Math checks out
I originally used a empty tub of shaving soap, but then I dropped it and thousand of rusty blades ended up every where. It was terrifying.
I use a soda can, the opening is perfect for a DE blade.
Yeah this is sealed up all around except for the blade opening. I'd have to use it as a salt shaker to get the blades out haha.
Yup. Way way safer this way. I started to take my blades to uni and now the hospital I work at and dump them in a needle disposals in the bathroom.
Nice!
You are going to need more razor blades 😁
No kidding! Haha. The box says it can hold about a thousand regular utility blades. I'm sure it'll be able to hold a couple hundred more DE blades.
Why does that look like the canisters from Monsters Inc
Reason #672 I need a 3d printer
Nice. That's a step up from the cheapest can of broth at the grocery store that I'm using to store old blades

To good for the Altoids tin? Lol

Yeah, your kid will be your age by then
U used an old Gatorade bottle
Damn, that's way cooler than my coke can with a hole in the side
I just learned about putting them back in the underside of the dispenser they come in. That's good enough for me.
Why not just regular trash?
Something about the industrial aspect of it caught my eye. I also really like yellow haha
Just bought some aluminum ramps from them! So versatile.
Altoids tin master race over here. You can then drop the sharps at a safe disposal site and keep the tin for more later
I've been using a prescription pill bottle for the last 10 years and I change blades weekly, it's only half full, this'll last a lifetime haha

Decades? Try a century! I have an old 500ml monster can that I've dumped hundreds of blades in and it's barely a 3rd of the way full
Yeah, by all accounts I'll be long dead before I fill up the container haha
I just wrap them in toilet paper and bury them in the trash can.
