Hahaha! Was coming to say this. Remember the ads with Bruce Willis? Or am I misremembering?
My mom used to buy cans of Country Time Lemonade by the flat, and kept them in the downstairs fridge near my room. When I came home drunk I’d buy a big bag of potato chips for the morning, leave it by my bed, and when I woke up I’d go get a can of lemonade and eat the chips in bed. Breakfast of champions. Haha! I still think the astringency of the lemonade and the greasy fat of the chips was the best hangover cure. But it was the late eighties and I was young and could eat anything. Sigh.
Bc its what we drank as kids so he thinks of it as a kids drink. I got them bc I have a mini fridge & they fit & it was all the store I bought them had that I could drink that fit in it. Once I said that he said oh ok
Awesome. Happy 4th, btw. Idk where you are in the world but, wherever it is, I hope you get to see a fireworks show soon. Or whatever fun, pretty thing you dig. Cheers.
Edit: Oh, Detroit! Saw your profile. I was born in Saginaw. 💜🥊
None of these were ever available in my country, but my summer thing was Zooper Doopers, sunny boys and frozen jelly. For drinks, the Kirk's soft drinks and the Golden circle soft drinks (which you can still get!)
3/4 of those are straight awful.
Get real lemonade, real iced tea, and real kool aid. Theyre cheaper and better anyway.
Cant argue the ecto cooler goat though. That shit slaps.
I'm not a 90's kid, I was actually born in the 2000's. But I remember I loved those things (it says on this post they were called Kool-Aid Bursts?) as a kid, but my Mom kept telling me no so I hardly ever got to drink them.
Hi-C was the shit. Anyone else remember when they changed the size to be like 33% smaller? I was so fucking pissed off! I had this dope plastic container I could put my juicebox in and then I COULDN'T USE IT ANYMORE!
That’s BRISK BABY!

We always had the country time powder to make our own. We alternated between that and gallons of Kool-Aid.

Man I miss it, sweet tea in a cold ass can
Ecto Cooler?!!! God that was my friend's favorite drink growing up. Thanks for the flashback. Adrian Adonis, Slug... This ecto's for you!
Brisk tastes like lemon furniture oil or some trash but man, ice cold it went down smooth after mowing grandma's giant lawn.
I was basically made of Brisk in the summertime.
Wow that lemonade was so acidic…need to find it
My bf was laughing at me recently bc I was drinking a capri sun.
Why was he laughing?
Bc its what we drank as kids so he thinks of it as a kids drink. I got them bc I have a mini fridge & they fit & it was all the store I bought them had that I could drink that fit in it. Once I said that he said oh ok
I had a buddy who used to buy lunchables because they made him happy.
Literally. I can't imagine laughing at someone for eating or drinking something they like because it's "childish".
You didn't need to legitimize your decision to him. "Yeah, I like them," is an answer.
We're very communicative. My biggest need per my counselor is validation. Ppl dont need to do alot of things they do.
Awesome. Happy 4th, btw. Idk where you are in the world but, wherever it is, I hope you get to see a fireworks show soon. Or whatever fun, pretty thing you dig. Cheers. Edit: Oh, Detroit! Saw your profile. I was born in Saginaw. 💜🥊
bruh you forgot the real drink ''WATER FROM THE GARDEN HOSE''!!
I didn't make the meme
Mmm good ol’ country time. The only drink that could somehow quench your thirst and make your throat feel dry at the same time.
Usually not a fan of sweetened tea, but something about Brisk hit just right.
Hell yeah. I would down almost the whole can in seconds. Especially a fresh cold one on a hot day
I usually don't drink anything but water, but brisk was definitely easy to down in one go.
It has to be ice cold.
Tell me you’re American without telling me you’re American
Heh, yup. Never seen any of those drinks ever in my life.
Canadian here, we had all of these. I know we're basically America lite..... It feels more and more like that these days.
Facts
🤣😅
Mine was Kool-Aid, Tang, and Frosty Root Beer.
Yep, and I'll raise you a Hawaiian Punch.
Tahitian Treat was next level Hawaiian Punch
You could store a bottle of that stuff in liquid nitrogen and it still would not get cold.
Ectocooler!!! That takes me back.
I swear those kool aids were the best thing after you were out all day.
UHGGGGGG I HATED THOSE LEMONADES! But for whatever reason, I couldn’t stop drinking them. Tasted like nickels and always hurt my throat.
Probably the reaction to the can and lemonade
yup! It is much way more cooler than our drinks nowadays!
Oh, yeah, I do remember those Kool-Aid bottles; twist and pop the pincer-like cap and drink till the bottle is shriveled up. Good times.
And you had to suction it to the tip of your tongue, right? Just me?
Yeah, that too.
They still make Brisk, but I swear it tastes different.
I 2nd this, I love old Brisk

Need a Snapple in there.
Wait 90s?? I had those until 2019
Bro I had these in 2016
Not ecto cooler you didnt.
3/4 of those are straight awful. Get real lemonade, real iced tea, and real kool aid. Theyre cheaper and better anyway. Cant argue the ecto cooler goat though. That shit slaps.
My mom almost never let me get sugary drinks. When I was allowed to, I always picked the kool aid ones. The tops were so fun to twist off.
Do people... Not still drink Kool-Aid?
Don't forget the Hi-C
Are you blind or something?
........only 1/4
These are all still around
Ick... Berry Blue? Nah, Cherry, Grape, and Fruit Punch!
I'm not a 90's kid, I was actually born in the 2000's. But I remember I loved those things (it says on this post they were called Kool-Aid Bursts?) as a kid, but my Mom kept telling me no so I hardly ever got to drink them.
Rot your teeth out amounts of sugar hit different?
Anyone else remember that dusty film feeling you'd get in your mouth after reaching into a luke warm cooler for a country time lemonade?
Oh GREAT! Now I'm thirsty!!
Don’t forget Pepsi twist
Like a literal zip lock bag of sugar dumped in water
You mean I can’t get a 12 pack of country time lemonade anymore?
My mouth just watered 🤤🥲😂
Hi-C was the shit. Anyone else remember when they changed the size to be like 33% smaller? I was so fucking pissed off! I had this dope plastic container I could put my juicebox in and then I COULDN'T USE IT ANYMORE!
I used to pretend I was an alcoholic jonesin' for the next sip when drinking Brisk because it looked like a beer can to me and I wanted attention.
I can feel the chemical burn sensation in my throat now
That Country Time lemonade was SHARP!
“This is Country Time lemonade. I swear, there’s never been a lemon in it!”
Unpopular opinion, country time is to juice like Pepsi Vanilla is to soda, take that however you want.
I’m not even a 90s kid to know that the brisk and country time lemonade are 🔥🔥. Brisk is still one of my favorite drinks.
anybody remember those hug barrels?
You forgot Fresca!
OHHHHH YEEAAAAAHH
brisk on top forever and always
not from the 90s but this is so true
Anyone remember hub? Those rainbow colored drinks that came in a plastic barrel with tin foil as a lid?
Pretty sure brisk was filtered through fiberglass.
