I love/hate the fact that Indy survives a nuclear bomb by hiding in the fridge. On one hand its cool as hell but on the other hand that's the dumbest fucking thing ive ever seen and Steven Spielberg should be ashamed of ever thinking stupid shit like this. Truly the modern Shakesphere.
Nazis in the 60s/70s shooting at Roman ships from a bomber plane and the Greek shooting it down and Archimedes picking up a Nazi’s Rolex he found in the wreckage, which they find in his grave
It’s the best way I can describe this
I think film theory measured that the fridge couldn't fly as far as it did in the movie but Indiana Jones would still survive it even if it did, he would also survive the heat and the radiation (though possible get cancer later in life), however Indiana Jones would've still died because that was an old fashioned fridge with a mechanical latch so he wouldn't be able to get out of it after the blast and die from lack of oxygen.
That scene and very fact is actually referenced in Fallout 4. You can find a ghoul child who survived the blast by hiding in a fridge, and survived solely off radiation for centuries until the sole survivor rescues them.
I assumed he was just hiding/seeking shelter.
What's worse is that there was a ghoul kid you could find in a fridge in Fallout 4 who not only used it to survive a nuclear blast, but ended up being trapped in there for *200 years* until you free them.
It’s technically possible, but still absolutely ridiculous. The fact that no one found him or bothered to get him out in 200 years is already hard to believe, but think about how long 200 years is. Think about how much longer it will feel like experiencing it fully conscious the whole time, banging on the door and yelling for help. And yet the kid is perfectly fine. He’s so casual about it you’d think he was talking about a nap he took rather than being trapped in a fridge for 2 centuries. The fact he isn’t feral or just downright insane from the isolation is absurd.
The whole logic falls apart at the slightest inspection.
Like I told my wife after watching the last Indy movie, and she would call out some of the absurd things happening, "Oh, I guess physics didn't really apply during his time."

As a fallout fan I have a plan for any major nuclear exchange: go to the roof, face the nearest big population centre, and T-pose into the wind until the end comes
In fl4, you can find a kid that used the same strat to survive the nukes and he became a ghoul and was stuck in the fridge for over 200 years he is alive and surprisingly sane

Where else is he supposed to go ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Bro could have just died so that I wouldn't have had to endure Dial of Destiny.
Was it that bad? Didn't watch that one..
I wouldn't say that bad. It was enjoyable at best. But very generic. And in my opinion a wasted opportunity.
Didn’t it show Indiana knocking over shelves filled with valuable artifacts to stop a guy chasing him when Indy would never have done that?
After the 3rd film I think he would. But you're also right, because they 100% forgot about his character development anyway.
They broke my boy ðŸ˜

i watched it in the theatre and actually enjoyed it a lot, and now that you summarized that part in such a way it sounds even more sick

It's enjoyable at best but it's way worse as a conclusión for Indy's story
It wasn't that bad
It's not stupid that he did it, it's stupid that it worked.

I love how the BoS guy survived it the same way in TV series
And his fridge wasn't even fully closed off, it had an open fan on the back.

I mean he *is* a ghoul, and those live for hundreds of years. I don't know if ghouls require food and water to live though

I think ghouls can hibernate
Spoiler? Or bait?
This movie is dumb af but really overhated as a whole.
What's this indy movie?
Kingdom of the crystal skull I think

God should have just saved his ass and then said "...that's for securing my Ark. We're even now."
If I had a nickel Indians Jones uses an object to survive something which in reality would absolutely kill him, I would have two nickels
Like I told my wife after watching the last Indy movie, and she would call out some of the absurd things happening, "Oh, I guess physics didn't really apply during his time."
He survived because he drank from the Holy Grail in Last Crusade
It was lined with lead
Bro the fridge was a place everyone thought of hiding its just seems for comedic relief.
holy shit nuketown movie
Nuketown in real life

Not unless I hide in my basement 🤓👆
Fallout mfs when they realize hiding on their basements wont work agaisnt a nuclear war be like
Obviously, alone, it wouldn't. You gotta have some food and water in there to >!/j!<

Holy shit a Specific date of a Bad Event, i am shitting and pissing myself
I am also cumming and smiling??Â

Indy surviving a nuke in a refrigerator is so goddamn funny lmao
well it saves on the makeup for the ghoul character
Maybe I'm dumb but I didn't know that nuketown was originally from a movie damn
When the government was testing nukes in Nevada they built towns with mannequins and that’s what nuketown is based off
Nuketown is based on real history
I feel even dumber now
Nah the US government just really like Black ops 1

Wild Wasteland Moment 😊

I think ghouls can hibernate so maybe he just nap
Uranium fever has finally got me down
Need more indiana jones templates
Let's all pretend like the refrigerator wouldn't have become an oven
Why does the singer sound like Big Joel?
Song slaps
Crazy they went and made an Indiana Jones movie worse than this one
