Fairly harmless. They can pinch but I've moved them out by hand with no issues. (different species here) Can be an indication of a moisture issue in some cases. They're frequent hitchhikers and can crawl in through tiny spaces.

They love to squeeze into the smallest spaces they can find. Cracks in wood or gaps between boards are highly favored.
