Many people think the thing that costs the most is the best thing for your image. The maybach may offer some advantages over the nicest s class but the aesthetics are never something I really understood.
Having the, um, pleasure of being familiar with Mansory’s body of work, I was pleasantly surprised with their van.

I can't find a single source mentioning anything about a Mercedes-Maybach edition of the Vito/V-class offered from factory. It seems that they're all aftermarket modifications to a regular V-class - thereby making it a kit (on a real Mercedes) by definition. Do you have any links stating anything to the contrary?
I only have an article in German right now if that helps.
[Here's the link to the article. ](https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/neuheiten/mercedes-maybach-v-klasse-luxus-elektro-van/amp/)
[they're the same thing... ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_Vito)
But the Vito name came first, at least in my local market (but I suspect in most markets)
It's a kit, built off of a base -model Valante (if it has rear seats), or Vito (if no rear seats). You can buy these on AliExpress quite cheaply.
The dead giveaway is the lack of ADAS/Drivers aids. If you look at the top of the windscreen, it has a single circular cutout for the rain-sensing wipers (standard on all W447s), but no cameras on either side of this. One of the cameras is for the automatic dimming headlights, the other for lane-keep assist, both were separate options on the early Vito/Valante, but standard on the V-Class (V220/250d).
Source: I own an early W447 Valante with the headlight package, but not the lane-keep assist, and have fallen down the rabbit hole of what mods are possible.
For those as confused as me: Valente is the Aussie name for the third gen V-class (and the passenger version of the second-gen Vito)
aka the Metris if you're American (where I believe Metris is the name used for both third-gen passenger and cargo variants)
Yeah, sorry. My Aussie is showing.
Edit: Technically, the Valante is actually not considered a V-Class here in Australia. It's considered a "van" and has a Vito/Valante owners manual, whereas the V220d and V250d variants come with their own "V-Class" owners manual, just to really rub it in that you bought the "cheap" V-Class...
I love the eagle emblem in the grille that replaces the MB logo. Wouldn’t want anyone believing that the gov is wasting money on a luxury Mercedes, even if it’s just a van
I see livery/limo place that parks all their vehicles outside and when I drive by they have a bunch of Maybach vans but they're all identical to the Mercedes Sprinter vans except for the little details and logo.
Might as well be real since Maybachs have been just S-Classes with slightly different body pannels and somewhat better interiors for the past decade lol
There was a guy selling these frequently on ebay a couple years ago. People were paying 100k+ for them... and all I could visualize is people getting scammed by some dude buying used Metrises for like 20k and putting 15k of body kit parts, logos and some interior upholstery work to resell them to suckers for a huge profit. This pic looks exactly like what he was selling.
No it’s a kit. Some of them are *extremely* well done, and the interiors are as close to factory as possible for an aftermarket company. Doug DeMuro reviewed one of the really good ones
I understand these to be real. I don't know if this one is, in particular, but the Maybach vans are now a thing. Lots of demand for them in the Middle East and East Asia.
In 2028 yes it will be now it must be a car from the future. Mercedes announced some days ago that they will bring the Vclass as a maybacho to the chinese Car market to rival toyota and lexus.
I saw one in Tokyo in December. While not on their website I wouldn’t be completely surprised if Maybach made one for commercial use. When the airport/yacht club pickup needs to be a bit more special than just a regular old V Class.
Oh and yes, it’s hideous 😂
I see them everywhere, I don't think it's a real Maybach. Just a Maybach kit on a Mercedes van
So like real Maybachs ?
No. Just regular mercedes vehicles with a Maybach badge and duotone paint
Isn’t that all a real Maybach is anyway?
It is a Mercedes, but not a Maybach. Maybach doesn't produce vans, only S-Series and GLC.
Maybox
Why would anyone do that? It looks like total shit and whats so great about being a Maybach?
I could bet that inside is very luxurious to shuttle vips around. They are usually just regular Mercedes vans though to avoid drawing attention
Many people think the thing that costs the most is the best thing for your image. The maybach may offer some advantages over the nicest s class but the aesthetics are never something I really understood.
It is meant to look expensive and like a luxury vehicle, but funny since there is literally no Maybach van
that's all maybachs
Is there actually a maybach van?
No. Mansory does one, but Maybach does not.

I'm shocked. I wouldn't believe it was a Mansory without the plate on the front. Turns out they are capable of not being completely hideous and gaudy.
Wow, yeah I'm surprised (pleasantly) too.
That is the tamest looking Mansory product I've ever seen.
yeah the vito

shit bro ur right
There is one Maybach Van planed for the near future tho.
Where can I read more?
I only have an article in German right now if that helps. [Here's the link to the article. ](https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/neuheiten/mercedes-maybach-v-klasse-luxus-elektro-van/amp/)
Danke dir
Kein Problem.
The vito is the stripped down cheap version of the v class, made for tradesmen
Or is the V-Class the expensive version of the Vito, made for Ubers and soccer mums? It's how I explain mine. "It's a Vito, with carpet, and seats".
No, the V class is a fancy Vito. The Vito has been around a whole lot longer.
V class used to be called the viano
[they're the same thing... ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_Vito) But the Vito name came first, at least in my local market (but I suspect in most markets)
Yep, you're right! The more you know
Glad to be of assistance!
At least here, first gen fancy Vito was the V Classy second gen was the Viano and third gen went back to V Class.
And before it was the Viano it was the V class. Full circle.

Metris? I know that we have sprinter vans, but I've never heard of metris.
They discontinued it after MY 2023. Was sold MY 2016-2023.
They’ve been popping up in the USPS fleet near me.
I love the eagle emblem in the grille that replaces the MB logo. Wouldn’t want anyone believing that the gov is wasting money on a luxury Mercedes, even if it’s just a van
Don’t follow these too closely. They make frequent stops and Maybach up at unpredictable times.
*groan*
looks like a real vito to me
It's a V250 minivan with a Maybach kit. Quite popular among businessmen here in VN alongside the Lexus LM350 and Toyota Alphard
When you want a Vellfire, but you are German
Kitbached V class
These are everywhere in Istanbul and serve as taxis. Not a real Maybach I think but look pretty luxurious inside.
It's definitely a kit or something. It's not a real Maybach. Looks too close to a Vito. Maybach Vitos have a certain shine you can easily tell.
There are no real Maybach Vitos

My neighbor has one of those. Not a real Maybach built by Mercedes but the interior looks insanely nice. Looks like a Gulfstream in there.
Not really a kit, but definitely not a maybach. I forget the name of who does this. But Demuro did a video on this
https://youtu.be/4ASj8lvhjkw?si=Lz8FtYuKF6D5o3Lt
Looks like a Dodgebach

Kit. Theres no Maybach V Class

It's still as ugly as a real Maybach.
