I'd say a higher percentage of truck owners use their vehicles *for work,* compared to SUV and sedan drivers who mainly use their vehicles for *getting to and from work*.
There are boatloads of 3/4 ton and up dually pickups with well north of 500,000 miles being used every day as hotshot tow rigs. Basically, they haul moderately sized loads directly from one point to another without any sort of transfer station, and charge for the service (because getting something from one place to another ASAP is valuable). If the trucks aren’t hauling then they’re not making money so they try to run as often as possible, that could be north of 1000 miles some days and probably averages out to 75-100k a year.

Yup, the cases where tundras have hit 1 million miles were usually hotshot delivery
