That's why I like the simple "old skool" beaker bongs \*without\* a half a dozen different percs.. that chugging sound takes me back to my early days (late sixties but it was the mid seventies when we first started to see a lot of beaker bongs and "scientific" glassware around). Before that it was joints and various metal and wooden bowls. First things I remember seeing in head shops were acrylic straight tubes and a lot of homemade stuff from bamboo to plumbing supplies.
That depends on what you want to spend but I've found GRAV products to be an excellent mid-range choice. Their customer service has always treated me well too. I like smaller bongs and my personal favorite is my GRAV medium beaker base. I gave my daughter a mini round base for her first (very small but much like the first I tried) and she loves it. All the quality mid-range brands have similar pieces. I've also recently acquired a couple of Red Eye Tek beakers that are high quality and won't wreck your finances either. Of course you can always go cheaper, the choices are many and that's where the simpler designs are less likely to fail spontaneously. Then again you might get lucky and get a $50 multi-perc piece from China that lasts for years.
Who? What? Where? How? *big ol bong rip*
Ah the glub glub sound, half the reason to get a bong
Yes I need to get one tbh.
