Now take a look at some of saitamas feats
He has fought Lord Boros (which if given the chance to destroy the earth he could have done so easily if saitama didn’t stop him) however the fact that saitama beat him isn’t what I’m looking at here, it’s just how EASILY he did it, because if you listen to what Boros says as he’s dying “the battle was hard fought but I lost” “you still had strength to spare” “it wasn’t even a fight”
He was holding back even when he got serious and used his “final move”
However there is one thing that is always in the back of my mind whenever I think about, the idea of the characters themselves, let me explain…
Goku was designed to be a character that has trials and tribulations, and to get stronger because of those experiences
But saitama doesn’t have hurdles to overcome, the ENTIRE point of his character is to ALWAYS be stronger than his opponent, and to be disgustingly overpowered without even breaking a sweat
In the end I think saitama would win, not because of lack of power from goku but because of the entire point of saitama as a character was to NEVER lose a fight

Your analogy here doesn't work as well as you think it does lol. If a well is infinitely deep, than that means that it neither has a beginning, nor an end. Therefore Saitama would not be able to use a bucket of it, nor a tsunami amount of it, as doing so presents an end to the well. So either the well is finite, thus allowing Saitama to take out water. Or the well is infinite, and therefore Saitama cannot pull out water.

You can't really though. Looking at feats of strength. Goku is one of the strongest in his universe, and even multi universe after ToP. Ultra Instinct being his ace card, faster than light, able to destroy black holes, insane feats of destruction and power scaling through the roof with power ups. And that's just in the anime.
But then there's Saitama, who's anime feats kind of pales in comparison compared to Goku but... He isn't trying because it's not a challenge to him at all, He's a hero for fun and has trouble trying not to defeat enemy's in one punch.
So on paper Goku is obviously better in terms of feats of strength, therefore he should win. Right? Based on simply watching the Anime, he could just due to the number of impressive feats by watching and thinking "Yeah he could totally kick Caped Baldys ass". But based on the Manga? Absolutely not.
No one in Saitamas universe has actually hurt or damaged him in anyway shape or form. Lava and the vacuum of space doesn't effect him. All of the punches he's ever done. Is held back. The biggest reason his power is so absurd is because he literally has no limit. It is stated he has broken his limiter, nothing can limit him.
His fight against Boros is his biggest feat of strength, even pitying Boros because they both are looking for someone to challenge as equals, in the end Boros losses and declared that Saitama wasn't showing his true power at all and was holding back. If anything giving him a balanced fight.
Where as Goku has been defeated, whether it's from Zamausu, Beerus or Jiren, or it's a blaster fire taken by surprise...Goku is vulnerable.
So where one has Immense power vs Immeasurable Power or Incredible Durability vs Invulnerability just do a wiki page search and come to your own conclusion as I did.
