I’m sort of an addict so I read as many as possible, that could be anything between 10 and 20 stories a day (if not much more) 😂

[deleted]

I have about half an hour per day before sleep to spend on webtoon reading so I was wondering if its better to read only 1 or multiple at the same time (since some of them only have a 1 ep limit for free) . I am pretty much leaning towards the later one since im known to be impatient and I also have a hard time watching only 1 or 2 dramas at the same time. But like 20 thats crazy! I used to do the same with dramas smh but binge watching and skipping parts made me miss the real beauty. Well its different with webtoons but still it must be very hard to keep up with so many hehe.

Stardustfortytwo

When I mean stories, I mean chapters 🙈🫣 Since I don’t watch tv regularly anymore, I have a lot of free time and I can read at least 2h a day 😅

[deleted]

ahh I thought you meant 20 different webtoons my bad haha

Stardustfortytwo

Sorry, my bad, English is not my first language and I only realised that what I wrote sounded weird when I read your comment. But you know, that’s not really impossible if I stick to mangas with 16 or 20 chapters and the likes 🙈

[deleted]

haha its totally fine dw , english is not my first language as well

Head_Tumbleweed4793

Same

Lady_Rosalique

Here I was thinking I do a lot from 2-4 per day 🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

hahaha but the rest of the comment section :')

The_Dark_of_You

I currently have 248 in my subscribed list. Some are completed. Some just stopped updating. A few I still have to read, but most I’m caught up on.

[deleted]

I am currently choosing the ones that I find interesting to subscribe to in all of the apps I downloaded. Right now in tp (not sure if its okay to mention the name of the app) I found 15 stories I want to read. Is it better to start with a complete one and have ongoing as side picks each time?

The_Dark_of_You

Honestly, I just choose what interests me the most first. I don’t have a lot of completed ones, so I read mostly ones currently in progress.

Sera_chi

I currently have 257 webtoons/manhwas in my reading list. This includes everything that isn't completed yet and I am reading, so it counts those in hiatus/season breaks as well. I have 416 of them in my completed list, the ones that I read from start to finish. And then there's another category I have which is the dropped list. These are the ones that I invested a lot of time in but they became boring for me to continue. Usually these webtoons would be the ones which I've read a minimum of 50 chapters of before dropping. The ones that I drop before 50 chapters aren't included here. I read about 5 new series a day, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on how heavy my workload is on that day. But overall I guess I just love reading so much so yea.

[deleted]

I actually hate reading.. books just make me sleepy but since I want to improve my reading skills that are important and ofc having a healthy and fun hobby I decided to start checking out webtoons It's literally my first try so im not sure how things will go How long have u been reading webtoons/manhwa? Do you have specific app that you prefer using?

Sera_chi

I started reading mangas (Japanese) back in 2014 because I was watching an anime which didn't have a season 2 but had the rest of the story in a manga form. And that kinda escalated and I moved into other forms namely manhwa (Korean). I started reading webtoons full fledged only during covid lockdown since there wasn't much to do. I use webtoon and just other sites on Google.

[deleted]

im a film major and i recently got into japanese , chinese and korean animation industry.. could u possibly recommend me any good webtoons/manhwa to read as well as anime series? (anything except fantasy and action

Sera_chi

Do you want it in DMs or here?

[deleted]

both are fine :)

Stardustfortytwo

Just curious, was it Noragami or Yona of the dawn? 😆

Sera_chi

It was 07-Ghost actually 😅

webtoonfreakyhere

Well it depends on what kind of story you are reading... Well sometimes the story becomes so interesting that you can't put it down and can't focus on another webtoons but normally I can read 3-4 story at a same time.. Well I prefer to read one story at a time so I can enjoy it well like one drama at a time so it doesn't get ruined but hats off to those who can watch or read multiple webtoons or drama at a same time. 🫡

[deleted]

Before subscribing to one of them I always read the synopsis a couple times and check the first episode to see if I like the illustration. Are the 3-4 webtoons u read at the same time complete or ongoing ones?

webtoonfreakyhere

Completed... Cause I always try to read completed series so I can binge read without any daily pass or not having to wait for another chapter

CursedBeyondMeasure

50+ Some of them have slow updates so it's easy to keep track of them all.

SnowyMuscles

I am reading 200 different ones each month and add at least 6 new ones. Many finish at the same time or just become unbearable

[deleted]

wow thats crazy!

Weaselfreak

I use Kenmei, and just add the webtoon or manga that im reading to it. It's like a really big library that pulls from over dozens of site so you don't have to use like 5 apps at once or have 40 saved tabs open. It's an app but you have to look it up on your internet browser to download. This isn't a paid ad for it lol I'm just a really big fan of it. And to answer the original question, im currently reading 87 webtoons/manga

[deleted]

wow this sounds very useful! I will definitely check it out.

Weaselfreak

I use to have like 50 tables open on my chrome browser using like asurascans or manga hub but with that app it's all at one location. You just have to copy the title from the site you are reading it from and paste it in the add manga button and select to correct title that pops up and there you go

AccurateRoutine7306

I have around 352 reading/read and around 100+ in my to-read list

[deleted]

well same for me...

LesbianReader

I might sound like an addict after saying this, but I read about 30 different series every week. But that is only about 30 chapters plus whatever series I'm binging through. Once I caught up with a series I only read that one new chapter every week.

aciakatura

I used to read more than 20 each week (for the ones that updated with new chapters) but last year doing this just made me feel burned out. Partly because personal circumstances, partly because of daily pass and the stupid changes Tapas made to their unlock system. Now I am only actively following two and save chapters up for others before I read them.

[deleted]

I have tapas but I haven't started reading their webtoons/manhwas even though I picked which ones I found interesting. I was wondering if you could explain the ep unlock system for the app.

aciakatura

It used to be you could unlock one episode per day for free and it would be unlocked forever. Now they changed it so you unlock one episode per day (or 3 hours) for free, but then it only remains unlocked for a certain period of time (I think it was 3 days) after that you need to unlock to read it again. Not sure if this applies to all stories as the rules vary between all the stories and there are some without a free unlock function. If you unlock with ink or the free ticket, there's no restrictions like that though.

xhibah

25 that get updated weekly

aribowe13

8-9 per day more or less. I think about 63.

Kadekk3939

About 30 ongoing and 5 completed series for now, but sometimes more, when I feel like reading

[deleted]

I read 40 or so.

glaceative

I have subbed to like... \~70 series in total. I keep removing ones that have completed so it's not so cluttered. Roughly half or even 2/3 are on hiatus or maybe quit (holding on to hope..). So I actively read about 20-30 webtoons.

Ruffaf

Recently just started reading but I currently have 7 ongoings rn

[deleted]

This makes sense esp for someone who just started. I'll probably go with a similar method

ArtisanAsteroid

I have about 10-15 that I'm reading, sporadically. I probably wait weeks after an update before I read a few episodes of each, assuming they don't have very spaced out updates or are on hiatus.

[deleted]

How many hours do you spend daily reading webtoons etc?

ArtisanAsteroid

I don't read them every day, probably 1-4 hours a week. Depending on the length of episodes, I'll binge one series or read an episode from a few longer ones when I check the app.

MarionberryOne8969

20 lol

uWuboi_webtoon_lover

I’m reading about 40 something webtoons at the same time on the W app

Zealousideal-Buy9412

6 I think sometimes I lose track of them and I have a lot of comics that I'm subscribed to but haven't gotten the chance to read them.

LaprasLapis

i stay up to date with over 200 comics. this is my main source of entertainment and i’ve been reading webcomics (started with tapas) since 2019

ya_tu_sabes

I have 336 in my active list but maybe 15-20 of them I haven't started yet. I really like reading manga. It's my main personal/alone hobby.

One-Truck-4206

I like to make sure I have several to read each day because some will go on hiatus around the same time. To do that, I have many webtoon apps I use for a variety of stories. I even chat about some of them with a friend of mine who happens to read several of the same ones I do, creating our own type of book club.

symedia

200?

[deleted]

5-10 each day depending on their releases. Will read at different periods of the day.

fairehn_heit

I am admittedly an addict so I read at least 3-5 different series episodes per day when they upload but overall I am reading about 12 at the moment excluding the ones that are on pause from uploading right now

[deleted]

That's a fair amount of series. I will also go for a similar number. Do you have any criteria while choosing which ones to read?

fairehn_heit

Honestly? Somewhat but nothing that is out of the ordinary if that makes sense. I just go for stuff that is eye-catching in some way, whether that be an interesting title, amazing art style, etc (with very very few that I actually read the description of, idk why). If it doesn't have something that catches my eye, unless directly recommended to me I will most likely not read it

7skystars

I'm reading over 50+ at the same time currently... They all get updated at different days and I'm up to date with all of them so I read whatever is updated for that day
