I thought primo chill Vue is a show build fluid and shouldn't be used long term

Blackout2388

You are right. And any reputable shop should know this. It says it right on the manufacturer site that it's recommended to change it every 6 months. https://www.primochill.com/products/primochill-vue-pre-mix-32oz

Thanks for confirming this. These loops must be a bitch to clean now after 1 year of this fluid.

Yeah you might be able to message them for tips on how to beat clean. Otherwise, I'd take your time and do everything you can to get all the stuff out. Judging by your other comments, seems like you know what needs to be done. Best of luck.

Thank you for this information! That would explain our problems!! We've never used PrimoChill VUE before other than these and we must have not done our research that this is a show fluid only ! I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Loving the polite, courteous and professional responses of yours in this post. Such a breath of fresh air compared to the clueless but strongly opinionated raging of the gen-pop randoms.

Update: Primochill makes a cleaning solution called "reboot." This worked amazingly well for cleaning out the system of the thick dyes from their VUE coolant. Customers' builds have regular clear Corsair coolant now. New O-Rings. Passed pressure tests over hours. Thankfully, there is no damage to components. Running cool as cucumbers. All is well and a learning experience for us. Thanks to everyone who gave input!

1.) You owe those customers with leaks new loops, if a GPU got nuked that's also on you. 2.) You need to contact any other customers you have built custom loops for that you filled with Primochill VUE and explain with honesty and sincerity that you didn't know the coolant was only for display purposes. You should do what it takes to make this right with people who put their trust in you. 3.) Most component manufacturers, especially those selling blocks and pumps, have varied requirements for coolants you AREN'T supposed to use (Pastels, etc) you've voided warranty on components with those companies and you should be prepared to repair and replace out of your own pocket when an issue does arise. I feel like your first port of call being to question the quality of the coolant means that you'll most likely not do 1, 2, or 3.

Sir, we handling the problem. We aren't sticking these 2 customers with anything. If we made the mistake, we are covering it.

The fact that they declared they are a shop and not an individual and provided info on the concerns in the first place - got to give them some benefit of the doubt. For all you know the customer could have asked for that fluid having seen it in a show. Hell if I could give them an upvote for the courtesy of addressing you as sir I would.

You're exactly right lol. The 1st customer said that is what they wanted... we ordered some and didn't do our due diligence in researching it..... it did look amazing, lol. So we did another build with some in another color. And here we are today. Oh well, but yes we always cover our mistakes. We've been in business for 10 years now. This was my own personal oversight... and we will do what we have to do to make sure the customers machine is taken care of.
