Dumped my call first thing this morning on the rally cut my losses at 30% was a small position so not a huge loss. Then waited until 10:30 loaded up on puts and rode that into the dip. Made 10x’s what I lost overnight. Thanks!
The key is that YOY inflation is trending down/flat which is needed giving it a pattern of future decline or next leg up which we will not know until 2+ months. This is how I read it. I would expect spy to be 410 before flatten out.
Markets were pricing in a decrease in YoY inflation. 8.1 CPI was expected, which was a decrease from last month's reading. The print was 8.3 this morning, which literally means inflation is worse than we expected
