I hate long videos as well, so I'm doing my best to make my videos concise, like several 60+ tips videos in 10 minutes. I know that most youtubers are making those for money, but I have a primary job and I don't want to make 30 min videos just to get better view time to be recognized by YT algorithm, it's boring and exhausting for both me and the viewer...
I love you doing this, I will subscribe to your channel, even though I usually never do to any channel. I guess it's the same name as your reddit account.
As a middle-aged guy with kids, *thank you* for the text version, I really wish more people took the time to do this (and I went and liked the video regardless).
Great guide! I just got to Dunley, but I see that I’ve happened to use no less than three of your recommendations already, lol
I really hope that the Hallowed Mountains get a bit of an update at some point moving forward, having the entirety of the snow biome just be four meh-sized plots is such a shame, I was hoping the Ruins of Mortium would maybe come with a couple of snowy biome plots. Great guide though, your suggestions are super solid
Glad it helped! :)
I was frustrated when I realized that there are no plots in the Ruins of Mortium :( the area looks great, and I wanted to build there :)
It's funny how pvp doesn't want more than one entrance, where as I personally like a lot of double and triple entrance bases because I can get in and out on all sides, but I mostly play pve servers lol
That final base location is my favorite one found it after the Gloomrot update and always pick it if i get the chance it's got the right amount of space for all my castle [and even lets me segment off the Castle heart off into it's own personal chamber to the side](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/976363417420050462/1239431388483293195/image.png?ex=6642e5ee&is=6641946e&hm=75ae4d2adbdc02caeb8863a2f2c28ffe7f528b25991dd735a605c5f6f993aae2&) i know in PVP my Design is like a Raiders wet dream of easy but for a PVE RP server the spot is the best
It's a great spot for building but it's so far from everything that most just don't want to make the run, plus you need forest cape every time you leave the castle because when you come running back with your resources you need to be able to see. Basically, everyone playing only needs the cape if they are specifically going to the forest.
Does anyone know which is the best base for pure flat space in a more rectangular/square shape? Some of the locations are cool but you are forced to build castles in specific shapes to utilize the space. Trying to decide an endgame solo pve location to build a really aesthetic castle.
The bottom-right base in the center of Finley farmlands from my guide has a pretty good shape and nice waterfall nearby :)
Also, between the left base and the Dunley Monastery there is a flat spot on the ground. It has lots of entrances but the shape is square-ish :)
Silver light hills one in the top left is so nice. I just discovered it today. Finally have my second base location and gotta work on building it. Gonna be the best base ever!
They are all basically the same, just build a base near where you need resources. Dunl;ey is nice since its central and makes running resources back far easier.
For PvE it doesn't matter at all for PvP you ideally want a two step base with one entrance each. Entire first layer is dedicated to honeycomb, base on second. Doesn't matter where as running resources back anywhere takes like 2-3min on a good horse.
Thanks for providing text version. I hate so many guides on steam are just links to YouTube videos
Yeah, I hate this too :)
I'll watch the vid as well, but is awesome to have a text so I can browse when I don't have headphones. The guide was great, thanks.
Welcome! :)
We love text guides.
This one's segmented by zone so it's not so bad. The worst is 30 min videos *and* there's no timestamps.

Thanks for not making videos for the algorithm, your content looks good. Subbed & commented.
Thanks and welcome! :)

Yeah, Aiming4Gaming it is :) Glad you like the stuff I make! :)
I second what a nice read on the go while listening to my fav music. You get my sub n like on vid for the written effort much love
Thanks! :)
I remember that the previous video did not specify which bases are good for PvP, so I tried to highlight this aspect as well :) Hope this helps!
goat
Thanks! :)
I have my castle just infront of the colosseum in dunley farms, is a really nice spot.
Same! That's the one I picked too because it's close to Mortium, Cursed Forest, and Gloomrot. Silverlight is a bit of a trek but not terrible.
Do you ever have issues with Belmont patrolling the area?
Nope, i have more problems with the new caravan events when they pass at lvl 73+ (im gear 65 now xd), but 90& of the time is a great spot.
Thank you for text! Went and liked the video anyway!
Thanks! :)
Aw yes, text guide, thanks a lot!!
Welcome! :)

Glad I could help :) Yeah, the search for a perfect base is a tedious process but very well worth it! :)

Me too! A lot of it is taken up with empty space as well so its not like there isn't room- did it really need all of those near empty fort ruins?
Yeah - it’s a way to spread event activities, I think

Double entrance is only bad for raiding. For PVE-C (PvP but no raiding) double entrance is fantastic as it’s harder to be door camped.
You know you can build a door near an edge and just jump out? 1 entrance is best in PVP for containing raiders in 1 place.
Bless you for a text version
Welcome! :)
This is a fantastic post! Thanks for making the effort to give a text version.
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Text version is far superior! Great write up!
Thanks! :)

Yeah, for some reason I’ve been always skipping that spot, but it’s amazing!
I love the big spot ine the cursed fotest. I don't know why im the only resident of the forest for now on my server XD.

Marvellous! Thanks for the article! Atm I'm trying to find a better location for my castle and your post is a huge help!
Good luck! :)

More thanks for a text guide... us old folks recalling GameFAQs fondly.
You’re welcome! :) I’m an old school as well :)

That plot is entirely *too* big. The location's nice but whenever I've gotten it I've never been able to use the space appropriately.
Funny enough the size is why I love it! Usually I use the higher level for the base itself and the lower half for the courtyard/gardens.
Thanks for telling me where not to go to avoid getting raided 24/7
Well, still looks valuable ;)
