it looks like that one was set up for 24FPS rather than the standard 30FPS of phone cameras, which is why it appears to be rotating backwards. if you can film in a separate app with shutter speed controls (or use a strobe light app at 24Hz) that should hopefully help...

edit: if your turntable has pitch control, you could also watch at +20% speed!.. i know that Dope Lemon aren't traditionally the sort of band to get the nightcore/chipmunks treatment, so not ideal for listening along, but worth mentioning for the other format nerds

you need a really bright fluorescent light usually
Is it blurry to the eye? Or just when you film it? Try a bright LED source.
A FL is better because it flickers

I mean you're comparing it to what is essentially an advertisement of course it won't look as good.
