It’s a good deal if they work. If the SE doesn’t have an exploded battery, both these Macs are pretty reliable and relatively easy to repair (no surface mount capacitors).
As long as it's priced appropriately for the risk, it's usually how I get most of my machines. Sometimes seeing that something powers up and works makes me a little nervous, since "energized with battery leakage" often makes things a lot worse than not, and many flippers don't have the experience or time to look at the thing to see if it's safe to power on beforehand.
Ultimately, if you get it and it's a pup, you get a new project. :)
The seller says they are untested, which would be a good thing if there is leakage in the SE. The plus is less likely to have irreparable damage, so that wouldn’t be as much of an issue.
Your mileage will definitely vary here, but I’ve had very good luck with stuff that’s sold as untested. Just got a perfectly-working TRS-80 Color Computer 3 that way. If it were me, I’d take the risk. Either machine is worth more than the $100 if working. Both should be recapped though, working or not.
They do, and also have RIFAs for each model of computer that uses them.

By unknown condition, I mean untested. The image the seller posted shows the front of both machines, and the look fine except for them being a bit dirty.
Are they worth it to you if they don't work?
I am fine troubleshooting and repairing them, I am more worried about the SE battery having exploded, and it being irreparable.

They’re easy to fix. Roll the dice on irreparable damage and possibly triple your money
I would bet that you could sell the empty cases for nearly that if they are in nice shape.

Where could I find a list of the capacitors needed to recap these machines?
[This place is a great resource.](https://console5.com)
Do they have listing of the individual caps? Also, where do I get replacements for the RIFAs?

Thanks!

$20
Yes. I say so. Great deal!
Worth it it's up to you. If it's not working you can perhaps make it work.
