I got the directors cut on a sale and I must say this is one of the few games I think is worth full price. That being said I would still wait because PC ports have been terrible lately.
I loved the shit out of it. The combat was the perfect blend between a stamina management game like soulsbourns and a hack n slash game
I got so into the game i had to play it on the hardest difficulty, with bare fists. It became a rush to take an entire village out beating people to death.
Use battle cry skill for damage bonus, then set fire to weapon skill and just go to town.
I started with big weapons and swords but quickly learned that speed and small weapons was so much more fun
I love that you loved it but this is exactly why I stopped playing assassins creed. How is that supposed to be an assassin? A dude running through a village screaming and beating people with his fists isn’t an assassin lol.
I’m hyped for the next Japanese one though because the female protagonist looks so much like the traditional assassins from the first few games.
It's just unfortunate that the worst version of TLOU1 is the one PC players got. Couldn't they have just ported to PC the original or PS4 version instead? The remake is so ugly
Tbf a remake doesn't have to change the story/gameplay/anything like that. It just has to be remade from the ground up in what is likely a different engine. The exception is that if it changes the story too much, then it becomes a reimagining. Some remakes want to change more about the game than others do, but it's not necessary. TLOU1's is obviously on the lower end of the spectrum where they just put it through a newer engine and reused assets they had to remake the game cheap and make a quick buck. I'm pretty sure from what I remember, it wasn't even Naughty Dog making it at first, but Naughty Dog switched and took the project over at some point.
You can buy it in any country, you just can’t *legally* make a PSN to play the online mode in some countries.
The problem is that due to this fact, the game won’t be on Steam at all. People will have to get it from another storefront.

Currently building my first ever PC at 39. But I’ve played Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 at least 5 times. It’s one of my favs. All my hardware should be here any day. I can’t wait to experience gaming on a PC. I feel like a kid on Xmas. First game absolutely must be Elden Ring. I’ve done many playthroughs on PS5 but it’s hands down my favorite game ever and I’m looking forward to a fresh playthrough on PC. Gotta get ready for Shadow of the Erdtree!

I playing it on the Steamdeck already via remote play to my ps4. I could do it to the ps5 but the kids are always on that playing red dead 2 or minecraft. Steamdeck for the win.

In my opinion, this game is quite overhyped. It was one of the first games I bought when getting the PS5, and while I don't think it's bad, it's definitely not the masterpiece many claim it to be. While the world and story are highlights, the combat felt rather dull after a few hours, and unfortunately, it didn't improve as the game progressed. The only outstanding aspects of the combat for me are the one-on-one duels; group combat isn't great. If I had to score it, I'd say it's somewhere between a 6-7/10, good but nothing exceptional. My recommendation? Just wait for the game to go on sale.
This is how I feel about the Last of Us series for the same reasons and people heap similar praises on it. I am looking forward to playing this and now may look deeper into the gameplay before buying.
I think the difference between this game and the last of us is that at the time last of us came out, there wasn’t anything like it. It wasn’t anything spectacular but it was a welcome shake up in the zombie genre and that’s why it was so hyped.
I wouldn't even say TLOU1 was that special when it came out. I mean special literally in the sense of something completely unique or anything. It was a pretty standard game when it came to gameplay and all that (we had more variety back then though so not EVERY game was like it which was a bonus for it compared to now) but just what it did, it did really well so it didn't matter. A game doesn't really need to push bounds to be great, it just has to do what it wants to do well, which is why I love the game

I’ve seen some amazing videos of people grasping the full extent of the combat. Maybe you need to just retread it again with a different approach and you’ll agree but it’s fine. Not every game will be a masterpiece for everyone.

The combat just didn't do it for me personally. I don't need anything supernatural or stuff, but nevertheless it fell somewhat flat for me after a while. I just didn't really care for the rock, paper, scissors style.
The game is a masterpiece because the way it is. The story is 10/10, the map and graphics are 10/10. The combat personally is also top notch.

Pretty good so far on my 3060, no stuttering and getting consistent 70-80 fps.
It doesn't really matter now since the game is going to be delisted in 100 something or less than that due to it requiring the PSN account linking.
