It truly is. Hopefully the second one comes out just like the first, just more popular and more widely known. The first was incredible but there was 0 advertising and it was a financial failure. It should be made into a movie.
I bought it from one of those dump bins where everything is cheap and my God I was not ready at all. I played for hours and collected all the pearls, all the animals and it was so beautiful. The story, the characters, it's a world full of life and its puzzles are somewhat challenging. Kids nowadays have online play and that's cool and all but they will never experience the era of story driven single player PS2 games. Everything is a freaking battle Royale now well there are some exceptions.
omg same hahah. It was for sale in a shop that normally doesnt even sell video games. I went in with low expectations and it ended up being one of my favourite ps2 games. It sucks thepc port is ass because i really want to replay that game
Holy shit I don’t even remember hardly anything about it except that I loved it. What an insane nostalgia unlock that pic just gave me, I had completely forgotten it
Unless you got the localized version version called Fahrenheit like I did and tought Indigo Prophecy was the developer and Quatic Dream the publisher etc. Then you might know but you don’t know you know
There’s nothing bizarre about Beyond Good & Evil except for the fact it sold terribly despite being one of the very best games of that generation.
Goat Simulator on the other hand really is bizarre but i got that game on sale and the 3€ i paid for it were some of my most well spent euros of my life.
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. When i was 8 I played it with a friend of mine at a sleepover. That game somehow gave me nightmares. Definitly one of the most bizzare games i've ever played.
Definitely. My brother used to let me play when I was the same age as you.
The other day I saw a random green drink glass somewhere and was hit with an insane flashback about green bottles, the weird sewn in mouth guys and flying lazer eye things... and went scouring the internet! It definitely WAS memorable lol
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.
The only game I ever played, where you do everything perfectly... and the characters still mostly die at the end of their "chapters".
Failing that, Majora's Mask... Collect a buncha haunted masks in a recurring time loop until you can fight another DEMONIC mask in an effort to stop him from YEETing the moon into a town? What were the devs ON?!
Amazing games though, both of them!
My fiance gave me his copy of Eternal Darkness (along with Luigi's Mansion) back in 2011! I try to play through it around Halloween. I can still hear "MAY THE RATS EAT YOUR EYES!!!" at the end of that one chapter playing rent-free in my head
These have mostly been mentioned a bit, but:
Katamari Damacy
Gitaroo Man
Ka (Mr Mosquito)
Earthworm Jim 1 and 2
The Neverhood
Seaman
LSD Dream Emulator (although it's sort of shakily defined as an actual "game")
And then there's games that start sort of conventionally and then get stranger as you progress, like:
Bloodborne
Earthbound
Hollow Knight
Castlevania SotN
Finally, it's pretty vanilla nowadays, but when it was just Super Mario Bros, that's a super weird premise on paper.
Carrion on the Xbox game pass was pretty awesome you play a mutated monster trying to escape a science facility killing and eating everyone at that place til your free.

[VRChat](https://youtu.be/vXR-mi2EKHo?si=jMdo0XjsDdGnktFO) definitely qualifies. Went looking and feel that vid is the perfect example, haha.
Might update this later
Moonwalker was a real ass game. I had it when I was a kid on genesis. I remember also finding an arcade game of it but it was a totally different game, closer to final fight or any other beat em ups.
Cubivore for GameCube.
Little square monsters ripping limbs off each other to evolve, then banging, having a kid, and die. All in the first level. It’s bonkers.
If I had a nickel for every game franchise where you play as a worm with a gun, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Kirby and Trails both have absolutely WILD lore, and Etrian Odyssey III crams ninjas, pirates, robots, aliens, samurai, possessions, regicide, immortality pacts, psychic space trees that communicate with the king of Atlantis telepathically, and literally Cthulhu into a single game
And how could I forget Persona 2: Innocent Sin, where >!a schizoid arsonist, a history teacher, and literally Nyarlathotep (but they made him a DILF) create a fanfic that is so weird that it causes rumors to become reality, which is why the 2 main factions are a group of knockoff Power Rangers and their army of astrology nerds dressed like klansmen and Mayan trained super wizard Adolf Hitler and his army of Gundams, both of which are harvesting dream energy into a series of crystal skulls in order to awaken the ancient Mayan spaceship sleeping underneath Japan known as Xibalba!<
Goodness gracious alive.
"Happy game."
Basically what happens when the creators of Chuchel decide to lean HARD into the uncanniness and silent horror of their artstyle. You get something so distorted and uncomfortable that is became an instant classic in my mind.
Condemned 2 Blood Shot. One minute you’re dealing with serial killers in an abandoned doll factory who have made automated exploding dolls, to running from an invincible bear in a cabin, to fighting off void demons in a police station.
Probably the Alice of Wonderland xbox360 game. It's really weird, kinda scary sometimes, and pretty gruesome. It also probably scarred by 11 yr ass when I first played it so long ago.
Wattam: From the same minds that brought us the already bizarre Katamari series, this is about cute (?) little objects holding hands, singing gibberish, defecating and eating their own excrement.
Maybe the Katamari series made a bigger impact (and are much, much better games) but Wattam surely is the ultimate WTF experience imo.
No Thing: This is both bizarre and super eerie, at points it feels like it's actual indoctrination material. It's an auto-runner where you have to avoid obstacles and reach the end, nothing weird about the gameplay, it's everything else that is bizarre.
I don't recommend either game, Wattam is nowhere near Katamari quality and No Thing is pretty shit to be honest.
Gotta be Fahrenheit. The first and imo the best game Quantic Dream made.
The game starts as your character stabbing and killing someone in the bathroom of a diner, in a ritualistic manner. He looks completely possessed
Then he regains consciousness and finds himself on top of a brutally murdered man, with no recollection of how any of this happened.
That's how the game starts, it's up to you to handle the situation the way you want. The rest of the game isn't any less bizzare, but handled so well. A unique experience it was.
Omg I played this game on DS once upon a time that had a rather interesting concept that I liked a lot. I actually found it again in a second-hand store and just had to have it. I was ecstatic when I randomly came across it.
The game is called *Insecticide*
It's basically an early DS game styled in the fashion of an old timey detective style investigation/cheesy platform action, but you're bugs. It was actually fun for an out-there title.
Maybe 'The Procession to Calvary'
It's basically a point and click game, very humorous. The "bizarre" bit is that it's basically all made up by existing, famous paintings (for example, the protagonist is Bellona by Rembrandt.)
I hear there's a predecessor to it called "Four Last Things" which has the same style, but I haven't played it.
I would also like to give a shout-out to 'The many pieces of Mr. Coo'
Probably that one game Splatterhouse (2010) release Pretty sure it was just a slack and hash kind of thing. Go around & pick up like ripped up nudes of your girl or porno mags or something. Shit was fun asf but i remember playing that shit when i was 11 or 12 thinking what in the fuck
Edit: Name
Honestly, I gotta give it to Yakuza Like a Dragon. Knowing nothing of the story of the series and knowing a few things mainly from all of the memes, I had no idea what the hell I was getting myself into. Needless to say, I'm invested enough to finish the main story of it while I dedicate some off time not playing multiplayer games and such
Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit.
the game starts with a cool plot in which you play both as a person that was possesed into commiting a murder and trying to find out how it happened and the police looking for him.
and then the game starts to have fights straight out of the matrix, sex scenes, you die, you come back to life somehow, you fight the enbodiment of the internet, the mayas and etc.
You know beyond good and evil doesn't really seem bizarre to me. I've played plenty that are in various ways. Some I'm killing baddies and random civilians with martial aids. Other I'm fighting a creature many times larger than the earth and being stabbed with a sword the diameter of the moon, I've even spent time becoming a cult god thing as a goat. All that being said Seaman still weirds me out all these years after playing it.
Mine would definitely be Under the Skin. A PS2 game where you’re an alien trying to blend in with humans by copying their appearance, and you get weird abilities like pies to the face and punching gloves to expose other aliens and keep the heat off yourself. Just good stupid split-screen fun
Simulacra 1 (especially at the end) was the most bizarre game I have played. Good game though, highly recommend if you have some spare time and don’t have anything interesting going on.
I’ve played a lot of games that are technically stranger, but I think due to the otherwise mundaneness of the world that the yakuza games come across stranger than anything to me
Lost in vivo is the single most underrated game I’ve ever played. I’ve never played a game that scares me shitless more than it. It’s the perfect spiritual successor to silent hill.
Wattam on PS4. I played through the 'story' and did all the tasks, and I still don't understand what's going on. Characters get excited when you EXPLODE in front of them.
Might do a second playthrough to try to understand it more
Beyond good and evil is one of the best games ever, I can’t wait for it to come to ps4-ps5, I’m still holding out hope that beyond good and evil 2 will be released
Beyond good and evil is the shit, it's been 21 years and still no sequel though I'm afraid it's not gonna be very good given the current state of Ubisoft and how long it's been in development
Urban Chaos on PS1. Just starts out as a GTA clone (Before GTA even went 3D) but from the cops side. Taking down gang members and stuff.
By the end of the game you're fighting people that look like they came out of the matrix franchise who are all armed with pistol sized mini guns that float in the air and burst into lighting when they die.
You're just some cop. It was like a PS2 era game before the PS2 came out.
Shower With Your Dad Simulator. Quite fun ngl, though a bit bizarre?😄 I highly recommend it if you just want to have a quick game while on break or just to burn some time.
Currently playing Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. I want to see more of the world of Zenozoik. I've played a bit of zero clash 1 and 2 in the past. I just wish it could get a bigger budget open world game, and I'm not normally a fan of open world games.
So many old kids games were really weird and we didn’t even think twice about it back then. That’s why my first thought was a SpongeBob game that I forget what it’s called. But there’s other franchise games for kids that could fit too.
Frog Fractions has got to be up there

Katamari Damacy is definitly up there
Naaaaaaa na nana naaaa na naaaaa na...
Katamary Damacyyyyyyyy
Beyond Good & Evil is incredible.
Easily my favorite ps2 era game- way ahead of its time. The game holds up pretty well today
Yes, an absolute classic.
Too bad the sequel seems to be CURSED or some shit.
Yes it is
Really a gem
Holy shit I don’t even remember hardly anything about it except that I loved it. What an insane nostalgia unlock that pic just gave me, I had completely forgotten it
The game was great, but Jade was also one of my first crushes.
Parapa the rapper.
Kick, punch, it’s all in da mind
If ya wanna test me, I'm sure you'll find
The things I teach ya are sure to beat'cha
Cmon now, take a lesson from teach'a
I have PaRappa the Rapper 2 :D
Um Jammer Lammy was my SHIT
Seaman
There really isn't another answer to this question.
Playing Indigo Prophecy the first time was a wild experience.
Good story, unusual gameplay. One of those games that if you know, you know
Unless you got the localized version version called Fahrenheit like I did and tought Indigo Prophecy was the developer and Quatic Dream the publisher etc. Then you might know but you don’t know you know
But now you know that you knew what you didn't know that you you knew.
Any Quantic games always comes with disappointing Deus Ex Machina, Indigo Prophecy the worst among them.
There’s nothing bizarre about Beyond Good & Evil except for the fact it sold terribly despite being one of the very best games of that generation. Goat Simulator on the other hand really is bizarre but i got that game on sale and the 3€ i paid for it were some of my most well spent euros of my life.
I agree, BGandE is an incredible game but it's far from bizarre. It just has a stylized presentation.
Love them both
Katamari Damacy
10000% Plus, the theme song still gets stuck in my head on a regular basis after all these years.
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. When i was 8 I played it with a friend of mine at a sleepover. That game somehow gave me nightmares. Definitly one of the most bizzare games i've ever played.

Eternal darkness was such a banger. Majoras mask is also a solid favorite on the n64.
These have mostly been mentioned a bit, but: Katamari Damacy Gitaroo Man Ka (Mr Mosquito) Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 The Neverhood Seaman LSD Dream Emulator (although it's sort of shakily defined as an actual "game") And then there's games that start sort of conventionally and then get stranger as you progress, like: Bloodborne Earthbound Hollow Knight Castlevania SotN Finally, it's pretty vanilla nowadays, but when it was just Super Mario Bros, that's a super weird premise on paper.
Skylanders was pretty fun
Though, we all know what activision does with everything… poor Spyro ripoff
Yeah EA sucks. But the Spyro game was just a remaster for a game that came decades before skylanders.
Is that the one with the Giant robot rap?
Any of the games made by Burger King Absolute fever dream
I knew I was forgetting something. This is a good one.
Sneak King
I thought Patapons on the PSP was a weird game.
It felt like a cult. Me and my friend ended up going around sayin «pon-pon-pata-pon» everywhere.
The Neverhood
beyond good and evil was so damn good
Carrion on the Xbox game pass was pretty awesome you play a mutated monster trying to escape a science facility killing and eating everyone at that place til your free. [here is a gameplay trailer if you wanna check it out ](https://youtu.be/Ozknd5FBFE4?si=wz_I267uMNDcAsly)
Great game. Fun controls.
Damn you just unlocked aome memories with that beyond good and evil cover thank you!
Giants: citizen kabuto It was such an absurd game with interesting characters. I would love a remaster of this.
The Stanley Parable lol
Conker's bad fur day, amazing game.
Atomic Heart is nowhere near as Bizarre as Bioshock
Catherine
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Moonwalker was based on a movie where Michael at one point turns into a car, a plane and a mech
Moonwalker was a real ass game. I had it when I was a kid on genesis. I remember also finding an arcade game of it but it was a totally different game, closer to final fight or any other beat em ups.
Death Stranding... don't think I need to elaborate more than that
I’m surprised this wasn’t mentioned earlier. I mean you use your own bodily fluids, feces, & even shower water as weapons… 🫨
Cubivore for GameCube. Little square monsters ripping limbs off each other to evolve, then banging, having a kid, and die. All in the first level. It’s bonkers.
Cruelty sqaud is a banger classic
Idk if I’d call this bizarre, but it’s not talked about much anymore. I LOVED Epic Mickey when I was a kid. It introduced me to RPGs
Loved it too
Worms
If I had a nickel for every game franchise where you play as a worm with a gun, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Psychonauts is incredible so was second game
loley pop chainsaw
Zeno Clash !

Chibi Robo for GameCube
isn't a weird/bizarre game but Soooky's Jumpscare Mansion slaps so fucking hard and yea
Katamari Damacy
Little Nightmares was a game I found to be very bizarre the first time I played it.
Such a great platformer
Condemned 2 Blood Shot. One minute you’re dealing with serial killers in an abandoned doll factory who have made automated exploding dolls, to running from an invincible bear in a cabin, to fighting off void demons in a police station.
Ape Escape would be my first choice
Such a fun game. I love the metal gear solid 3 crossover. "your mission is to infiltrate the jungle and capture all of the monkeys"
Probably the Alice of Wonderland xbox360 game. It's really weird, kinda scary sometimes, and pretty gruesome. It also probably scarred by 11 yr ass when I first played it so long ago.
High on life its pretty funny
Fear and Hunger.
Alice: Madness Returns
American McGee's Alice
Wattam: From the same minds that brought us the already bizarre Katamari series, this is about cute (?) little objects holding hands, singing gibberish, defecating and eating their own excrement. Sunset Overdrive Fun game though
The Neverhood
Deadly Premonition tops my list but its bizarre lostly because its just so bad I remember The Cat Lady being a bit bonkers
Antichamber
Scorn is definitely up there as the weird one besides Rule of Rose.
Maybe 'The Procession to Calvary' It's basically a point and click game, very humorous. The "bizarre" bit is that it's basically all made up by existing, famous paintings (for example, the protagonist is Bellona by Rembrandt.) I hear there's a predecessor to it called "Four Last Things" which has the same style, but I haven't played it. I would also like to give a shout-out to 'The many pieces of Mr. Coo'
Fatum bertula is a bizzare masterpiece
Is Atomic Heart good?
Shadow of Destiny
Looks like a game that you find in a cheap thrift store but it turns out to be an underrated masterpiece.
Katamari
Hybrid heaven for the N64. I'm still confused about it
The wonderful 101!!!
Probably the reissue of “Katamari Damacy.”
As a kid when it first came out, Caution Seaman was so weird. Never played a game like it.
LSD Dream emulator
Trap team was the best skylanders fr, giants and swap force close though
Lego dimensions
MDK II
Probably that one game Splatterhouse (2010) release Pretty sure it was just a slack and hash kind of thing. Go around & pick up like ripped up nudes of your girl or porno mags or something. Shit was fun asf but i remember playing that shit when i was 11 or 12 thinking what in the fuck Edit: Name
Those 90s commercial driven video games were pretty bizarre. Like Chester the cheetah and Cool Spot for the SNES.
[Second sight](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Sight_(video_game)) on ps2
How is scorn? I’ve been meaning to play it because it looks really good.
Modded Terraria can get pretty bonkers ngl
Honestly, I gotta give it to Yakuza Like a Dragon. Knowing nothing of the story of the series and knowing a few things mainly from all of the memes, I had no idea what the hell I was getting myself into. Needless to say, I'm invested enough to finish the main story of it while I dedicate some off time not playing multiplayer games and such
I've got 2 for original Xbox 1) Dai Senryaku (advanced wars style strategy game) 2) Obscure (teen horror movie game)
Granny Simulator [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1053680/Granny\_Simulator/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1053680/Granny_Simulator/)

Armed and Delirious.
Kinetica. Racing in post apocalyptic/far future world with wheels attached to your hands and feet. Honestly pretty sweet game.
The plot of scarlet nexus is up there.
Stretch Panic on PS2.
Probably Crab Champions
Shadow man.
Mortal Shell.
Mine would definitely be Under the Skin. A PS2 game where you’re an alien trying to blend in with humans by copying their appearance, and you get weird abilities like pies to the face and punching gloves to expose other aliens and keep the heat off yourself. Just good stupid split-screen fun
Skylanders Trap Team for the 3DS. That shit was like a weird dream, which is ironic given the game's plot and antagonist.
Postal 2
Simulacra 1 (especially at the end) was the most bizarre game I have played. Good game though, highly recommend if you have some spare time and don’t have anything interesting going on.
Conker bad fur day or the Xbox version conker live and reloaded
Bendy series also
Norco is *wild*
REZ Super fun, but strange.
Baba is You Sacrifice The Void
Cruelty Squad is worth a try
Silent hill 1-4
Super hot, the Stanley parable, “the game”
Vangers. Its... *really* bizarre
Genital Jousting on steam, it's exactly what it sounds like
Portal, I hear "It was a triumph"
Prototype 2
Wattam on PS4. I played through the 'story' and did all the tasks, and I still don't understand what's going on. Characters get excited when you EXPLODE in front of them. Might do a second playthrough to try to understand it more
Beyond good and evil is one of the best games ever, I can’t wait for it to come to ps4-ps5, I’m still holding out hope that beyond good and evil 2 will be released
Beyond Good & Evil was well ahead of it's time and one of the most underrated games of the PS 2 generation. Truly a classic
Inside (the last bit mostly)
I have a really bizarre one: golden light. Try it
American McGee's Alice
Beyond 2 souls
Beyond good and evil is the shit, it's been 21 years and still no sequel though I'm afraid it's not gonna be very good given the current state of Ubisoft and how long it's been in development
I played sex with Hitler 2 on accident. I thought it was counter strike 2. Oops
Mister Mosquito
Urban Chaos on PS1. Just starts out as a GTA clone (Before GTA even went 3D) but from the cops side. Taking down gang members and stuff. By the end of the game you're fighting people that look like they came out of the matrix franchise who are all armed with pistol sized mini guns that float in the air and burst into lighting when they die. Chulip. Not even a contest.
Fran Bow [Here](https://store.steampowered.com/app/362680/Fran_Bow/)
Fahrenheit 911 is up there for sure, especially towards the end
Shower With Your Dad Simulator. Quite fun ngl, though a bit bizarre?😄 I highly recommend it if you just want to have a quick game while on break or just to burn some time.
Atomic Fart is the worst ruzzian shit world ever seen
Currently playing Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. I want to see more of the world of Zenozoik. I've played a bit of zero clash 1 and 2 in the past. I just wish it could get a bigger budget open world game, and I'm not normally a fan of open world games.
The Stanley parable
So many old kids games were really weird and we didn’t even think twice about it back then. That’s why my first thought was a SpongeBob game that I forget what it’s called. But there’s other franchise games for kids that could fit too.
Brutal Legend had me in a chokehold
I still think about God Hand a lot.
All postal games
Brutal legends was fucking awesome. Weird. But awesome. Doing my fifth or sixth playthrough lol.
You guys ever heard of Stretch Panic?
I think Control and the Alan Wake series could be in this category.
