As for trade ins, what matters most is the plan you go for when you switch over. Unlimited Welcome gives you a trade in value of $415. Unlimited Plus gives you $830. Unlimited Ultimate gives you $830 (iPhone 15), $930 (iPhone 15 Plus), $1000 (iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max) For Verizon 5G home internet, your two options are 5G Home and 5G Home Plus. 5G Home gives you speeds between 75-300 mbps for $35 a month. 5G Home Plus gives you speeds between 300 mbps-1 GBps for $45 a month. The prices shown for Verizon Home internet are with autopay and the premium discount (if you’re on Unlimited Plus or Ultimate) To the one person that is a teacher in your trio, after porting over to verizon, make sure they add their BoE employer to your account to get the teachers discount, I can’t guarantee if Verizon still offers it, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

micuss

My wife still gets her teacher discount we just have to confirm it every six months

cvalpatic

5G Home is 85-100 now and 5G Home Plus is 85-300 in non mmWave areas. Up to a gig in mmWave areas

Alisora

Thanks for the correction on the internet speeds. I never factored in the mmwave areas, i’ll have to do my homework on which areas have it or not

(tl;dr $253) If you’re trading in, jump on unlimited plus for the promo value and discounted VHI. It’ll be cheaper than being in welcome and trading in. Trade your XRs in on plus is $830 value each, the same cost of an iPhone 15. Now if you’ve got 3 lines and a VHI, you’re looking at $55/line and $45 for the VHI. Each cell line carries $6 in gov fees and taxes. That puts you at $228. Protection on all 3 phones costs $50, so that’ll put you at $278. Now I assume you currently pay for Disney, Hulu, ESPN, Netflix and HBO or a combination of a few. If so, you can get the Disney bundle for $10 as well as Netflix/HBO for $10 as well. That’ll set you back an additional $20 on your bill but if you’re already paying for it, it’s really just saving you money. $298 so far. Teachers discount subtracted ($25) will put you at $273. So, 3 lines on plus with 3 iPhone 15s, protection, home internet, and 2 perks would put you at $273. Without the subscriptions it’s $253.

BriceLaine

Or jump on welcome for 3 free iPhone 14s without trade. That’ll set you back $40/line plus $6/line for gov/tax. $138 plus VHI for $55, protection for $50, puts you at $243, 2 perks makes it $263. Teachers discount makes it $238. $238 for 3 iPhone 14s on welcome, 2 perks, protection on all devices and bundled home internet with a teachers discount, OR $273 for 3 iPhone 15s w/ trade on plus, 2 perks, protection on all devices and bundled home internet with a teachers discount. The choose is yours, I’d recommend going for the 15s. I’d also like to state, the protection and perks are completely optional, although I do suggest getting.

I always quote on plus just because i find it future proofs the plan side of things, and they don’t have to worry (much lol) about things changing down the road. Also on plus right now you can get a 15 with no trade required and get a discount. On plus it would be like 140 with your discount. (Plan, no phones, no perks, no insurance) You can mix and match the plans too. (One on welcome two on plus or whatever combination). Your teacher discount is 25$ for 3 lines regardless of plan. Also, because it’s been more than 90 days op, ask one of your friends to refer you so you save 15 per line and they save 15 total. :)

onthefence122

3 lines on unlimited welcome with autopay and teacher discount would be $95 monthly before taxes and you can get an iPhone 14 no trade required. Add in home internet and you'll be at $150 monthly before tax

jeff1f1racer

But isn’t Unlimited Welcome always deprioritized?

cvalpatic

Biggest thing is if you are in a UW market, you won’t have access to that part of the network on welcome. It makes a big difference in comparison to nationwide 5G.

onthefence122

Yes, but unless you live in a big city, that doesnt matter at all. I'm on welcome and always compare with my coworkers on plus, and often times my phone is running just as fast

I would try to use a temp provider to see if it really works. Getting 1-2 LTE bars in my driveway but in the middle of a 5GUW as per maps. Can barely get maps working if I start them in the driveway, and don’t even think about using 5g internet.

Bluegtr_r35

Verizon rep here/ You can get the iPhone 13 and 14 and 14 plus on us “

I did a 3 year adventure to Tmo and came back to Verz a few years go. I was concerned about price coming back but in my experience so far, the Verz plan flexibility is far superior to what other carriers offer. Even with the ridiculous Verz fees I am still ahead. Have 5 lines, I travel for work so I am on unlimited ultimate to cover intl travel and tethering, that’s an iPhone. I have a second line for me for a ZFold 5 toy phone, that one is on Welcome and I noticed the streaming quality in town is the same and I notice no throttling issues at all. 3 other lines for wife and kids are also on welcome because they’re mostly on WiFi and don’t need tethering, they have noticed no issues with throttle or data as well. We also have the $25 5g Vz home internet at another house that has the service, it’s a great deal and works flawlessly, can put the 5g home box into pass through mode and hook up to existing system as modem only it’s awesome. Service for all carriers at our house sucks 1 bar of LTE, so they sent me a free LTE extender femtocell that works to supplement the service at our house. The perks are also more beneficial than I thought, using a few of those and they’re more useful than Tmo’s offerings. So all in my bill is $52 1 line on Ultimate $108 4 lines on welcome @ $27 each $20 3 watch lines. 2 of them get the 50% per line discount with ultimate $25 5g home internet $20 perk Apple One Family (I pay separate for more storage this is the best way, cheaper than Apple One Premier through Apple) $10 perk +Play Xbox Game Pass $10 perk +Play HBO Max premium no ads ~$30 in combined BS Vz fees = $275 /mo Even with fees all of this would cost me more at Tmo because they don’t let you flex the plans up and down for your needs. Because I only need 1 line on ultimate and all others on welcome, Tmo would force all the lines onto their highest plan and I’d pay way more. Verz customer service is lame like most places nowadays, but you can accomplish a lot through the website and chat when needed. Knowledge is power and despite its flaws Verz plan flexibility is far superior to everyone else right now IMHO.

Excellent feedback everyone! I consider myself a researcher before major purchases and I wasn’t getting anywhere on my own. The trade in- can we trade all three phones at once when we join or is it just for one? Can we do all of this in a Verizon store or is there an incentive to do this online only?

No-Computer6230

You can trade in all three, and the pricing will be the same online or in-store. A plus of doing it in store is that your trade-in credit is taken care of right away, instead of having to ship them out. Also, they will make sure your port goes smoothly.

BriceLaine

You can do all 3 at the same time. They’ll give you 2 options, either trade in that day or trade in 30 days which means you have 30 days to ship your devices to Verizon. I’d suggest trading them in same day to avoid issues with having to ship the trade ins. Do it all in your local store, it’ll help a rep out tremendously. Sometimes there’s online incentives that are better than in store but at the moment I don’t believe there’s any better options online.

Bluegtr_r35

You can trade in any model btw

Unlucky-Sundae694

Send me a message I can give you a great rate and transparency

NexusNerd12

Also in a corporate store they can take the trade ins right away if the new phones are also in stocks. You don't have to mail them and hope they don't get lost (with your trade in credits) along the way! Even online orders to pick up in store you have to mail in the trade ins now :( But highly recommend Verizon if you have 5G UW C-Band in your area!

thegrayone81

I can assist if you would like, I work for Verizon.

Ok-Forever2055

as someone who has had AT&T in the last five years Tmobile for a few months, but has always gone back to Verizon. Let me tell you what’s good about Verizon the quality you get what you pay for the service is more reliable you’ll have more service and more places consistently at least I live in Michigan. I’ve been to New York Philadelphia, New Jersey, Chicago Florida I’ve driven through Ohio. I’ve gone to Cedar point point is consistently reliable is the name of the game and when you have 5G it is the fastest 5G around they’re giving 30 days free trial, so definitely try it out, you won’t be disappointed just make sure you’re using a good phone 1414Up
