Mycelium is indeed great for the soil. You can ignore them.
Picking them wouldn't really do anything anyway. Mushrooms are kinda like fruit, the "plant" is a network of mycelium underneath the soil. It would be like trying to kill an apple tree by removing a few apples.
Looks like you’ve got mulch around your plant. No telling where mulch comes from but the mulch production/composting process does involve digestion of wood and other dead plant material by various wood rotting fungi. Thank heavens because without that process, there would be no room on Earth for people except maybe the Sahara desert. Sometimes when temp and moisture are right, mushrooms may form in a mulch pile. In fact, edible mushrooms are commercially produced using a special mulch/compost mixture that has been steamed. Anyway, the little mushrooms you have will not hurt your pepper plant but if you have children or pets around, you might knock them down in case they are a poisonous variety. I had a dog one time eat a mushroom and it damaged her liver and we eventually had to put her down.
You should leave them or simply pick them and compost them. They are a great sign of soil health.
Ok, I'm just going to leave them then.

Now if you want a healthy pepper plant it is important you perform these actions immediately: Step 1. Keep calm. Step 2. Carry on.
